What's with [email protected]? - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I thought this was something useful like Palringo or eBuddy...
Do they actually think I'm going to get all my contacts to drop texting or yahoo msg or Facebook chat, etc to joint this tripe? What a useless piece of...

[Q] what are people doing about Group messaging?

What is everyone doing about group messaging with people with iPhones? I'm using go sms, but it is slightly clunky.
Group Me. It's absolutely perfect. They don't even need a smart phone.
Line is good as well, and has rad stickers and desktop client.

Constant Contact Syncing: Facebook and Whatsapp?

Does anyone else share in my frustration?
Often, I am notified to link contacts between my People list and my Facebook (official app) contacts as well as my Whatsapp contacts. This happens at least once a week, and at times, every other day.
I'll go into the Facebook app and all of the sudden will need to enter my password again. Within the hour, I'm notified of Facebook contacts that could potentially be linked with my people list. I link them all then save. You'd think that would be it, right? A couple days later, same password prompt, same contact link suggestions. The same thing occurs for Whatsapp, too. Both occur update app from the Play market or not and on stock and MikTouch 0.7.
It's a minor inconvenience but so annoying, as it seems like it's never really saving the link. Anyone else seeing this?

I remember months ago the facebook app threw phones into a constant sync, they would never stop syncing and never actually do so.
I don't use facebook, but had to troubleshoot for a user of my rom.
Facebook app is the most worthlessly coded POS app I've ever crawled through the code of, it makes little sense and has less coherency.
Using the app means subjecting yourself to it's problems, sorry for your troubles.

Me too but I have two Facebook accounts. Have to use two different apps to get my content.
I flashed a nice ICS ROM and it seems to be okay for the time being...

[Q] Email Program

Question for you all:
I'm currently using K-9 to manage my email, but I'm wondering if there's something better out there. I'd love something that didn't cause multiple notifications on Missed It!, but that's probably a Missed It! issue.
What does everyone use, specifically to manage multiple email accounts (I have 4 that I use all the time for various things)? I'm looking to see if there's something better out there.
I'm using the normal gmail app but only have one account.
I read pretty much everywhere about people recommending k9 email so I think you already found the best one.
You can also try touch down. It does cost 20 from the market but a couple of people I know with multiple email addresses really like the app.

Multi Messenger Apps

Ok so I thought I have tried them all. Hoping maybe someone can help with a couple issues. Currently using trillian with my GN2 and rooted with Scotts Amazingness. I wanted to try others due to lack of features of Trillian ( but best for battery and consistency) so I went to im+. Was good for a bit then started to lag. Then went to try ebuddy and nimbuzz which both got good reviews and everything was great but each was giving me an issue with logging in to Yahoo. Its was an oops message that said I needed to log in thru the http yahoo site which makes no sense. I tried logging in thru each apps website and yahoo works but just not thru the app itself. I tried to log into yahoo amd then do it thru the app with same results.. Fine thru yahoo.com but failed thru the app. Same with Nimbuzz . Any ideas or recommendations? Thanks!

Caller ID photo blurry

Is there a way to make the Caller ID photos not blurry other then using HD Full Screen Caller ID app? I use Ubersync for facebook to update my contacts photos and information in my contacts but they all come out blurry.
I use haxsync which is pretty good and takes HD pictures from Facebook. There's also sync me but I haven't tried it.

Does it sync with hd pic? 'cause the last time I checked, the result was not as good as haxsync.

There is only one "small" problem... It's not possible to find haxsync on Play....

The pics are super sharp and it also adds some cool features to call screen if you choose to use them. I just discovered this app a couple days ago when I realized that haxsync wasn't updated to work with kitkat.
I use UberSync for Facebook. I didn't know about sync.me until now and I can't compare them, but UberSync does its work pretty well.

Sync.me doesn't incorporate with contacts app, it's a standalone app, so I think haxsync it's a one-way solution, if ubersync doesn't sync with hd pics. Haxsync works with KitKat.

I used to use sync.me but personally I find haxsync much better. Also it syncs much more like calendars, status updates and the pictures seem better.

Am I the only one here that would have a contact list full of either random people, or dogs, or famous people if they sync'd their facebook friends profile pictures?
lol
I have manually added contact images since i went Nexus simply because i got sick of not seeing the actual person that was calling me....I'm a little OCD about stuff like that...so i manually went in and plucked High res images from Facebook for each contact, uploaded them, and they get sync'd across in nice crisp images now. I rarely add new contacts, but when i do, I just do it manually. it kinda sucks, but its the only way i can get an accurate picture that is the same every time that person calls me.
What about non Facebook people? I don't use Facebook for anything but I would still like HD pictures. Any ideas?

So anyone have a reliable link to haxsync?

There's a problem with syncing..
HaxSync
I've unpublished HaxSync from Google Play for now until this gets resolved.

Seriously? We have to use a 3rd party for this??? What a pain. Had this with S3 and now S4. I find it hard to believe (call me naive) but why can't Samsung or Google, or Android or whoever simply make this little item work. All my FB synced contacts the photo is blurry.
