I'm. Not satisfyet with total recall. Its working for some time but after a few reboots hi changes your recording settings and nothing is working any more. And it is boring with asking you on every reboot to make a phone call "for recording improve" and the only thing wats improved is that hi is not working any more.

Install FREE app "Record my call" from google play:
Works on Note with settings in "Trick" section:
Audio format: MP3
Prevent sleep: on
Delay record time: 1 sec
Audio source: Phone Call
EDIT: doesn't work on 4.0.x
Total Recall for Note now work, perfectly, at least on CM9 paranoid

Does Chacha support phone call recording?
Thanks
you question should be - what software should I use for call recording on Gingerbread phone
Anyone who was able to record calls with good quality on a Chacha?
I read some threads, but didn't find any answer there which is strange since even Symbian was able to record calls.
Will any custom ROM be any help there?
try Auto Call Recorder or some app like it on google play !

This does not really work. It just turns the microphone so sensitive that it will record the other side of the call (if you turn it loud enough). But the things you say will be recorded 10 times louder.
Even Symbian could record calls with a good quality on both sides, so why can't Android?
So there were no changes yet. I figured out that you will need a patch for that.
Anyone who has an idea what to do there bzw. how to port this to the Chacha?

Probably its not your phone only. may be firmware issue. I also have the same problem.
Maybe someone can tell the best app for call recording? I tried many of them but no one records the caller voice, only mine...
Have you tried this ?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.grinzone.incallrecorder
Also recording calls on Android is not easy and needs kernel support to work properly.
Try this -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.record.my.call
Thanks, MP3 InCall Recorder & Voice works well! RMS does not.

Hi all,
Any one tried call recording in Xperia Miro ?? I installed callRecorder app from Google play( By skvalex). This is reported to be the best call recording app along with alsa mixer.
I tried installing alsamixer, but it just gives me a blank black screen... And CallRecorder doesn't work as expected...
I had a look in Tipo, and it looks like call recording is never a problem there..
Any ideas on improving call recording ? Or atleast how to install ALSA/Alsa mixer
Any luck?

This app will enable native call record on N5 (Tested on N920i). This will simply replace add call (+) button with record button. This app have no any control on Recording nor this app itself records call. This is Tool simply enables samsung hidden call recorder. You can Uninstall this app once you enable this feature.
Installation and use
-Install attached app as regular apk
-Open app and press on enable manual call record to enable it. (same way you can disable it too)
-Grant SU (Needs root)
-Wait till pop up message to reboot device.
-Once you reboot device, dialer + button will be replaced by record button
-You can uninstall app now.

I've been using automatic call recorder pro for about a year now. Uses the native code but at least it allows you to manage the recording, you can save recording to "Saved" folder, if not, it will just keep a recording of the last 40 calls (or whatever number you want) and re-write over itself until you manually save a recording. This saved me so many times...at least now when i get BS'd from a Customer Service agent, i can just pull the recording and replay it...like that i can get them to give up more or reduce my bill even further
Does this still work after the T-Mobile video calling update?
Or add this line on others.xml file in csc folder:
<CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>RecordingAllowed</CscFeature_VoiceCall_ConfigRecording>
Need be root and root explorer for add these line. Save and reboot. With this method you don't lose option to add another call button.

dr ketan can u make adeodexed rom for n920c as we cannot run xposed on stock rom

Actually Note 5 has the audio source exposed unlike Note 3. So almost all call recorders have worked for me without issues in my Note 5 SM-920G. Presently I use ACR call recorder which works like a charm!
Galaxy Note5 Android 6.0 / Android 5.1.1 don't need root, Boldbeast Call Recorder records calls perfectly in two directions.
Please use these settings in the app to record calls:
- Record Mode: test 4 and 1
- Tune Audio Effect: No
- Tune Audio Route: Group3
- Tune Samsung1: Yes
- Tune Samsung2: Yes
- Tune Samsung3: No
The app in Google Play: Call Recorder
By the way, Galaxy Note4 Android 6.x, 5.x, 4.x all don't need root either.
Galaxy S7, S6, S5 Android 6.x, 5.x, 4.x all don't need root either.

Sorry for being so ignorant. Not a techie. Where do I look to find the above setting options? I have looked in the app and the phone both. Even call Samsung. Nobody has any idea what I am talking about. I need to disable Tune Samsung3 but do not know where to look.
Thanks lllStripeslll
PS been fighting this problem for 2 months ever since Marshmallow came out.

1. Please install Boldbeast Call Recorder from Google Play.
2. Change following setting items in the Settings screen inside Boldbeast Recorder:
- Settings - Call Settings - Record Mode: 1 (Android 6.x), 4 (Android 5.x, 4.x)
- Settings - Call Settings - Fix Recording Issues - Tune Audio Effect: No
- Settings - Call Settings - Fix Recording Issues - Tune Audio Route: Group3
- Settings - Call Settings - Fix Recording Issues - Tune Samsung1: Yes
- Settings - Call Settings - Fix Recording Issues - Tune Samsung2: Yes
- Settings - Call Settings - Fix Recording Issues - Tune Samsung3: No
3. Now your Galaxy Note5 records calls perfectly in two sides, no root needed.
Uninstall all other recorders at first to avoid conflicts.
First day with the Mate 9 and I'm loving the ability to record videos of the screen quickly and easily using the double knuckle tap or the volume up and power combo. But I don't want the mic on while recording. If I deny access to the microphone, it seems the recording won't even start. I found the app settings and can disable the microphone there, but again that prevents the recorder from starting. I don't need to hear the sound of my own breathing over my screen recordings. I would think there must be a way to setup some settings for the recordings, like enabling audio, changing the recording quality or encoding, etc. No? Am I missing something? Any workaround?
Me too. Worse, I keep getting a pop up throughout the recording telling me that Google can't listen while I'm recording.
Any solutions?

I think there's a setting in Google to turn off listening at all screens all the time. The message will go away. As for recording your own breathing - you can postprocess it in any video editor and just delete the sound track?

Thanks. I was afraid that the only way to prevent the pop up was complete disabling of the OK Google recognition.
I suppose I'll have to get a video editor...
I remember having that popup too, but it didn't always happen. I remember someone saying that there are too many apps "listening" which causes google to throw that pop-up. There's a huawei feature that listens for phone call instructions, plus the listener for "OK Google", plus the recorder using the mic all at the same time. I guess disable the ones you don't use until the popup stops.
As for the audio, I couldn't find a workaround. I wound up using an app called "Replace Add Audio to Video" by Clogica to strip audio from my videos after I record them. Needless to say having to strip audio for every video recorded is a hassle, which results in me not using the recording feature very much.
Yes, it's a pity that the system app, screen recorder, has not any setting option to disable mic.
Anyone help me ? Got a honor 9 and everytime I try to use the screen recorder it says I need to enable it withing my permission for microphone. I have enabled it yet it's still telling me I need to do so. I've restated it and can't get it to work plz help!

I had the same issue just today on my huawei p10. But solved it through the following:
Settings->Apps & notifications - >Permissions - >microphone->show system(top right corner) - > search for screen recording->enable
Hope this helps
Thanks. It works :good:
On EMUI 9, you're given an option to disable the microphone.
