Suggestions on mods...

What I'm looking for are suggestions from our community on what your would like to see added into roms for our phone. Please no outlandish requests like 3.0. I look forward to seeing what you guys want in a rom and or mods.
Things being worked on.
Power menu options
Multi lockscreens.
A new secret tool??? (Will be looking for testers)
Things to look into
Changing sleep animation.

That would be a ROM he's talking about mods like being able to reboot to recovery our download mode from they power off menu.

At one time I asked about being able to silence notifications with the power button or the volume down button for example but I wasn't sure if that was part of the roms responsibility or not.
Maybe some built-in customization. Like different battery icons. Clock or no clock in the notification bar. Different lock screens, (looks like that one might happen). Different color schemes.
I need to donate to you guys when I get home. You guys do this stuff for free on your limited free time. I wouldn't mind getting into this and help out some. I love to program and figure things out. Is there some sort of reading I could read to find out how to do some of this stuff (I.e., roms, color schemes, etc ...)

Ok...I wouldn't mind those either...
I am actually pretty damn happy with how my phone is doing now. I like to lose the clock in the notification bar also. I know that's not possible yet tho and I'm not worried too much. I would like an undervolted kernal too to see if my battery life would be improved (even tho it's pretty good considering the size of this beautiful screen). My main suggestion tho would to be all of us that aren't doing any development/modding ourselves. And that's to thank those who do profusely and donate to them when we can for all their effort!

If your talking about some modded apks too, id like to see a different look for Google voice! The standard one is boring - just white and grey. Seeing a black one with cool text maybe or something would be cool. Also, an ACCURATE battery icon in the top left would be great. Amd i really like it when you hit tge sleep button and the screen goes out like an old tv. And, I don't know if it'd be possible, but music controlls in the notification bar (something that works w/ power amp?) Would be sweet. I'll try ur ROM with anything you put in it thanks!

if possible stock/aosp google calendar. I've tried a bunch of different 2.2 versions and the option to modify calendar FC and some versions have artifacts on top of the app

Pretty sure that wont be possible without gingerbread, it just isn't there in the code. Don't quote me on that but that's what I was told.

It is being made to work with the leak, and the leak is very similar if not identical to what wills be released so probably.

Yes all the mods will be available separate and probably will be built onto pick n pack. Once 2.2 comes out and we have real source code it will be easier to make changes.

[Theme][VZM]HoneyComb Theme in progress

HoneyComb Theme Coming!!!
I decided to get off my butt and start some development for the Verizon Version of the Galaxy Tablet. I have seen a major butt kicking in development when it comes to the CMDA side...lol. I am not downing what developers have developed for the Verizon CMDA side. I guess it's my turn to pick up the torch and start with a theme. I am in the process of porting over one of my favorite themes for my Verizon Fascinate called Nitro Honeycomb. I have to give credit to the designer, nitroglycerine33. ok we need to work together, i have a stable accurate battery for the vzw tab, ported fron sbrissens version for the fascinate, he has been helping on these projects, and almost stable reboot, recovery, and download added to device menu. Have figured out how to change all colors but clock, all notification icons, etc..
Hit me up in a pm and lets get this going it's time for vzw tabs to shine.

Red Volt theme ported from fascinate forum that gunnermike53 ported. Still in progress proper credits upon completion.
Accurate battery compliments of sbrissen.
And yes a Nitro Honeycomb Wallpaper from nitroglycerine33.

I haven't had much time to work on the theme until today...I had alot to do with that tornado clean up. I got some progress done today...Here is some pics of posted progress.

No problem. I am hoping to get some headway today. I did a lot of tinkering yesterday and think that I am finally going to finish a rom that can be released today or tomorrow.

If the wife doesn't stop me it will be today. If not I will finish it up at work tomorrow. I have also considered may releasing an earlier version and putting the final touches on it. I have to say it is looking good. I have had to do a lot of the graphics in photoshop. I figured that I could port a lot of Nitro's graphics on Nitrocomb, but ran into some problems. I have to say it has been a learning experience, but after this one...I am going to start a couple other themes. I am also in the process of coding a power menu with; reboot, recovery, and download mode. Along with this I am trying to code a true honeycomb lock screen that works in landscape . The boot menu and lock screen however will not be until next week or the week after. I totally appreciate everyone's patience.

I am still working hard, but am going to take a turn for the better. I went ahead and decided to work on the boot menu. I am thinking of turning this whole project into a rom and am going to deodexed the whole rom. I wanted this to be a theme, but it looks like that I am going to make it much more. There is just so much that can be done to the VZM end of the gtab. Anywho wanted to give an update.

Well I kinda crapped out with the Tornadoes down here and what not. I was going to redo somethings, but ran into some issues. I wanted a new boot menu and ran into some problems with time management. I guess instead of getting all fancy I will try to tighten/clean up the theme and release it since it had been so long. I am sorry, but there was a lot of damage down this way and a lot of people killed . I just haven't had the time to put into what I envisioned. Instead I will try to release a theme and build upon that. I have also been following Spacemoose1's thread and he is going to release a wifi and hopefully 3g enable version of honeycomb for us CMDA folks . Unfortunately as soon as the GSM pigs got wind they started donating tabs to him, so he is actually making a dual release of honeycomb. And if you read his last post, the CMDA beta release is done. Of course he wants to release it at the same time as the GSM, so us CMDA'ers have to wait...like they don't have enough crap to choose from as it is.

[ROM]Bionix 2 - The Legacy Continues - RC1 [05/15/2011]

Ladies and gentlemen I present to you, the 1st of many Team Whiskey Releases for the G2x.
Bionix, a well known ROM series on the Samsung Vibrant, created by Sombionix.
I have since moved onto a new device, bringing bout the Quality, and Speed with me. Sombionix will continue to lead the Vibrant Dev Team, while I lead the G2x Dev Team.
So, lets get started.... you are probably thinking to yourself, "what makes this ROM better than CM7, or EB?"
Well, let me tell you. We are about Speed and Quality. We dont just push out ROM after ROM, we take our time on them, nurture them, and see them grow. We thoroughly test our ROMS before we even release to our Beta Testers. We strive for perfection pretty much.
Now, though this ROM is based off the GB leak, I am taking Bionix to a whole other level starting next build. The G2x Dev Team will be a 100% AOSP base group.

This is because of 2.2. display drivers not working correctly with 2.3
Will take about 5 minutes to boot the 1st time.
Once it boots, LET IT SIT!
Let it sit for about 10 minutes to settle down
reboot
let it sit 5 minutes more
then sign in, and enjoy!

Keyboard lag is a bigger issue than just the keyboard and driver. I verified this by replacing the driver on a test build with one from the vibrant. Same thing. Its most likely due to the 2.2.2 kernel. It def couldn't keep up with my speed thumbs.

No need. Because this isn't AOSP, GAPPS is still included.

I would just to be on the safe side. Made a lot of different changes in the past 10 hours. LOL

Just flashed and first thing that came up while setting up my google account was swype is not configured for this device. No big deal for me since I dont use it.
Overall feels fast, just wish lg would hurry up and release a gb kernel for this phone in hopes it fixes the keyboard lag.

[WIP] Triumph Rom

So ive decided to start deving my own bit of droidness this is a WIP rom and am building using ACS's build of the ec05 once aosp is released officially i will be switching over to that but until then I will get started here.
There has been a slight change i will be building based off of official Samsung release of the ec05 build from scratch I will be including the 6 mod lock screen as well as some other various changes which will be disclosed upon release in the changelog.
I would like to give thanks to pfftmedic for the help along the way here as well as chevycam over on droidforums as for he got me in to deving for aosp back on the og droid without him id be lost and wouldnt be doing this now.
I will be posting further as my work progresses and letting all know who are interested the updates of my success.
Slight delay - there will be a delay in the release i was shooting for this week but maybe a bit longer I dont want to just put out trash so I really want my first release to be something worthwhile and to build on.

Thank you all I had gotten in to themeing on the og droid for a minute was working on a really nice looking red white and blue patriot theme for droid but never got to finish it had everything done though far as the framework res and such just needed to go in theme all of the standard apps and keyboard but phone was done dialer etc was clean.Wish i had some screenies to show but i reformatted and didnt think to back those up since i was no longer using them but they would have come in handy now lol oh well just about done getting everything situated on the comp got the build.prop finshed up and the updater script for the rom just need to work out the framework-res and apps themeing wont be heavily themed however as I want users to be able to customize to there liking and not mine but I promise when aosp comes out it will be very nice as i already have a good foothold in modding for og droid froyo.

Not familiar with that mod but I can look into it. My main goal is to start with a minimal rom for speed and battery I've gotten all of that done just need to edit some of the framework.

been on all day have not had to charge it moderate use flashed 4 times today and batt is at 80% with a temp of a cool 69 degrees. I changed some of the build.prop to allow for longer wifi scans and also added in some other changes to help with in shifting from app to app or screen to screen seems very smooth and great on batt so far just need to edit some of the framework and will have the beta coming hopefully within this evening.

How's everyone like the new Rom? I don't suggest it at the moment.. Its just a preview and this is just the most stable one out of them all.. Trust me O_O Basically only 1 thing is changed from JustWorksTechnology is the sense 4 clock but I already have many other stuff working on it.. This is just a "preview" for now.. Now I go to bed lol.. Enjoy Oh and yes it 2.1 sense.. Good night!! lol

Sorry for quad posting but an update will be released soon with new widgets.. This isn't really taking the Rom out of preview, it's just giving it a small update. Also there will be more Sense skins.. By far this is one of the best Sense Roms with signal..

Can I port this amazing Rom to the EVO LTE?
And what do you mean by this is the best sense 2.1 Rom with signal? NewSENSE, mikG, S.S. don't have signal anymore?

No see I try a lot of Sense Roms and they always go into roaming so I just tried this one and it has to be the best with staying out of roaming. It will go into it here and there at points but it has to be ONE of the best with that.. Im not saying it is the best.. Thanks and yes you can port it..

I think that signal is more dependent of physical attributes rather than software or ROM. I appreciate your work man. I see your actively contributing the community, and I don't post much but thanks for your work. I usually get ignored after my posts, but I would like to say that in the ROMs Drob mentioned, there is an option in the tweaks to set the phone to Sprint only under roaming. It prevents the phone from going into roam. There's also the option for Roam only. Just thought I would share that since you are having roaming issues. Also latest PRL updates help. Can't wait to try this ROM out when you get a final release. Looking for a new daily ROM.

Thanks for liking my Rom, I've noticed that stock android, when you roam you can still make calls but, on sense you can't and could you send me that method? Thanks!! Also my PRL has been updated, I have no upgrades on towers in my area for next 6 months sadly.. Where I used to live, they have 32 upgrades or something like that. Kinda made me mad but o well I enjoy my evo shift Thanks again!

It doesn't roam because HTC and sprint don't want you to know you are roaming. Adding the1x icon is mod we add to let us know our real signal strength...

I searched it on google and couldn't find it, is it something inside the Rom that could messed around with?

It just uses a 1x icon that switches when you drop out of 3G to edge data network like cm7/cm9 roms have. I thought data had nothing to do with cellular reception but IDK. Kind of like how you can activate a phone with no data plan?

You did to edit a file in the systemui.apk to show the 1x/3g indicator. You then decompile the classes.dex file and search for something called htccdmastatusbar.smali file. You change a line or two from 3g_cdma to 1x, then recompile and pack it back up and push the apk back to the phone...I guess you could also insert it into a new rom then flash.

Kinda been busy, im about to get a new phone, maybe the galaxy nexus.. ill still develope for the shift for sure though!!

I don't know anymore, my head is being poked with a stick by android.. I'm tired of listening to android.. (not freaking on anyone) I've got to take a break for quiet a while because I haven't been hanging with my family a lot lately and that's pathetic and stupid of me.. I'll check in every 2 hours or so but I got to "chill" with this android stuff. I don't wont to loose my loved ones Btw this is based off of JustWorksTechnology's Rom read first lines of my OP.. Thanks and preview2 will be uploaded probably tomorrow It does have a mytouch widget and some more themes

You don't know what kernels are in your sense roms? I understand completely about taking a break, but please take into account that kernels are GPL and must remain open source with a public link on the threads if your using a custom kernel. If your using a stock kernel like cm7 or whatever it may be you don't have to provide anything because they have their own github repo's. Thanks for your work for android and I must also take a break for awhile.

Well I guess I need help with "kernels" because I know everything really but not kernels and some other things...
Edit: It's stock

There are plenty of good kernels you can try if the devs let you add them to your roms. Strapped and x99percent are two that I know of that have their kernel sources in order and public.

Thanks lol uploading preview 2 right now but I don't think anyone cares for a dev like me O well.. For those that do appreciate me I'll just dev for them :| I've seen sense Roms open and get more comments and support then rather me and probably more other devs. I have a friend that has the same issue but I'll just upload and dev later..
