[Q] Back to stock - Samsung Galaxy Tab Plus

I've got a US GT-P6210 (WiFi only) that I rooted. Planning on sending it back due to lack of ICS development (on Samsung's part, I know devs here are ready to kick @s$) plus I got a refurb 8.9 w/ keyboard dock & charging dock & leather case & sdcard reader for + $25 more (yea, I know) & guess what, it's running ICS, so f this 7 Plus. I haven't been able to find any ODIN files to flash completely back to stock, recovery and all. Anyone point me in the right direction?
tia

I have the same question. I have a 6210 us version and want to recover to stock. Un-root. Is there a guide and stockfirmware link? I have searched and turned up not much but a looseleaf collection of info about other country's software.
I'm kinda tired of waiting on Samsung to move on this device. The tab 2 has less under the hood and is over all cheap. But it has 4.0.
I may just give this beautiful piece of hardware to the kids as a toy but would prefer it locked down and stock.

Really, nothing? Ugh...

FWIW
FYI, if anyone wasn't able to find it or is looking for it, the thread here lists the ODIN packages. I had to search around for a while, b/c the OP link is dead, but eventually found a mirror in this post
link. Checking it out now.

[Q] Transformer 32gb shipped with 2.2 Froyo

I just received a 32gb ASUS transformer from newegg and it shipped with Android 2.2 . It looks like a development build w/ some utilities to test the hardware.
Is there any way I can get Honeycomb 3.0 on this thing without having to go through an RMA? I have experience w/ flashing phones, so I don't mind going that route w/ the device.

I managed to root it using SuperOneClick... now how to get ClockworkMod installed..Busybox is installed aswell.
Hey just for your info, there are a couple threads about this. You can get some advice from others in the same situation. Not sure if they needed to send the unit back, or successfully flashed honeycomb? But users on this forum are very interested in these models, specifically for the dev apps.

Ahh... yeah I did read those. Unfortunately I couldn't post there because I don't have enough xda-developer posts. I think I am going to have to send mine back unfortunately. I wasted $23 on next-day shipping :-(

Its up to you if you want to void your warranty
To be honest i would just RMA it
Unless you would like to provide us with a complete system dump (All NAND)
Hopefully you havnt used it too much and setup your google account and etc

Sorry - I setup my google account on it and used the device. The image on the laptop was not rooted - it had a debugging bootloader w/ 4 options -
1. Backup Data
2. Wipe Data
3. Fastboot USB Protocol
4. Android
The software on the device included things like a GPS test, a system information app where you could see CPU, GPU, Storage info, an FM Module test... maybe a few others - most of them didn't work though.
Anyway - I think that ROM was meant for a different device - like a phone or something and somehow it ended up on the tablet.

[Q] How to revert to a stock build?

Hey guys, I need to revert to a stock US build. I tried to do so by downloading US firmware from ASUS and putting it on the sdcard. The Transformer finds the file but when it restarts to install, it stays stuck in the boot screen.
Is it because I have clockwork recovery installed? currently I am runnng prime 1.6 with netformer 1.5. I tried to do the update under a rooted 8.4.4.5, not under prime.
I have not done it but I think you will have to NVFLASH it...
I'd like to know this as well, I have my TF for sale and a newbie buyer might want to have the stock OS so they can get OTA updates from Asus. Has anyone documented the process to go back to stock on the TF?

A little off topic...why are you selling?
I have both the TF and Tab 10.1 and after playing with both of them for a week the beautiful screen and slim design of the Tab won my heart over the functional advantages of the TF (keyboard and SD card slot). Plus Samsung's just announced slim bluetooth keyboard/case for the Tab sealed the decision for me.
I also have an Ipad and finally came to the realization that I was nuts for having 3 tablets.
Thanks for the response. I actually had the Samsung, Acer and Asus all in hand...I loved the Samsung but couldn't get past not having any memory expansion. The Acer had all the great ports but a poor screen relative to the others.
Hey there, new guy here.
I have read alot and done most by myself like a big kid... lol
But the last step which will be to install custom rom is missing one little detail, how to revert back to stock? I like to be prepared before making any steps. I searched about the subject but best result lead to this thread with no answers yet.
thanks for anyone's time.

Root for Samsung Replenish with Gingerbread?

So, sprint just released an OTA update to 2.3.6 for the Samsung Replenish (SPH-M580). Thing is, for me (and others, I'm sure) the update somehow both automatically applied an obnoxious Sprint ID skin as well as crippled the Sprint ID service. This leaves users with an ungodly 2.2/2.3 hybrid which manages to look even worse than Froyo, and no Sprint-sanctioned method of fixing it.
So, rather than sit idly by and wait for Sprint to slowly/never patch this (neither Sprint nor Samsung had anyone who could help me), I've decided to root the device.
A few questions:
1. Here, someone achieved root back in mid-2011. Would that method be viable after the update to 2.3?
2. Would other exploits (i.e. gingerbreak via SuperOneClick) be viable with 2.3.6?
3. Is CWM or Cyanogen compatible with this handset? The whole reason I was looking forward to the update was certain UI features that I noticed on newer gingerbread devices like the SGS2 (power options on notification screen, paged applications drawer, zoom-out on home screen), and none of those are available thanks to Sprint.
Hopefully this gets more than 2 replies; sometimes it seems like nobody owns this phone on here.

Wow, just found another UI goof - in some apps (XDA included) the loading icon is a rotating circle, but it's in a non-square space, so it ends up looking like a goofy wobbling ellipse. Urgh.

I guess nobody anywhere ever had this device.
Can someone direct me to a forum where I might find help? :c

Im on the same boat as you, but my phone is on Boost. I've been looking for hours and can't find anything. I'll let you know if I find any leads.
Are you on Froyo? If so, I think someone posted a batch file a few months ago that would work.

Has anyone figured this out yet? Is there a comparable root for another Samsung device that would work with the replenish? Seems like someone should have figured it out by now...
I have a rooted Replenish on 2.3
I have a rooted replenish on Phoenix 0.2 the Download and instructions are on android central just search replenish
forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-replenish/148702-acs-rom-phoenix-rom-0-2-a.html
It wont let me post the link because im new here
Odin may be only option right now
I have a coworker with a Replenish. Rooted it with KMS originally (was a PITA, but if you timed it right, it worked), since he updated it to gingerbread I have not found a working solution.
I downloaded the Phoenix 0.2 rom from above and will test it out when I see the phone again. I'm guessing from what I read in the comments relating to that ROM that it will work fine.
Note about flashing using ODIN: From what I know, ODIN is the tool samsung uses to push firmware to their phones. This will overwrite the boot loader and if something goes wrong during flashing you can brick your phone. Make sure you are using a good powered USB port on your computer with a good working USB cable for the phone (preferably the one that came with it that has the samsung sticker on it). I've bricked a phone before using a crappy USB port on my computer, so be careful :-/
your savior!!!!!!!!! lol XD

I need help. I have read, re-read and read again every and any instructions I have located for rooting a Boost Samsung Replenish and am still completely confused. I need step-by-step instructions from A to Z which most do not have and to complicate things more, instead of using Odin I am using Heimdall since Odin can not run on Mac. I have been unable to find any instructions on using Heimdall to root my phone. Please help. Phone information below

[Q] A Few Questions About the TF101 (Thinking of Buying)

Hi Folks,
I just bought an Acer A500 and I'm really disappointed in it. The screen isn't very good, and wifi seems a bit wonky on it. Not that I'm against hacking, because I'm not at all. I don't like the fact that it doesn't work with ad-hoc wifi connections out of the box. The thing I loved about it was that I had it rooted, recovery and a custom ICS rom installed within an hour.
I know the TF101 has a better screen so I'm not going to ask that. I've tried to search for most of this info, but you know how good search is, so I'll ask here.
I see the tab has root, is there a one click method that I missed? I thought I saw one for it at one point but haven't seen it since.
As far as wifi goes, will this thing hook up to our android phones using the tether apps (not pdanet)?
How easy is it to brick one of these? Stupid question I know, but I've been using Samsung phones which are pretty much impossible to brick unless you really screw up on a kernel, so I would just like to hear what you think.
Reason I ask is because I debated between this and the A500. I went with the A500 based on price. I've been theming over on the the Nexus S for AOKP and CM9 so I'm looking for a tab that I will be able to work with the same roms so I can expand into tablets. I've also started trying to do some source builds so I can make some of my own visual modifications to some of the jar files within the framework.
Thanks in advanced for any input you can give!
1. Easy to root, especially the earlier models.
2. Wifi tether & Bluetooth tether (I recommend bluetooth highly!)
3. Almost impossible to brick if you have one of the earlier Transformers with NVflash.

I use my inspire 4g to connect to all the time. I just place my phone into hotspot mode and use Wep Security and then just log on with the tab.

On a new model, all you get is CWM. So make a back up and hold it dear. Because if something gets hosed while flashing and you don't have anything to go back to. Its dead.
On an older model they have nvflash and can recover from anything.
So what I'm hearing is buy a refurb and hope?

Mine is a new model. SBK2. I have flashed it 30 times and never had an issue. Granted I have my original backup and origianl kernel on a 2 gig card I had lie'n around and then I placed that in my safe.
As long as you know what you are doing yer all good. Maybe. Lol
try to find a used one preferably SBK1 which is B-70(some) and below they are much easier to work with when it comes to modding and hacking (NV flash) which is like ODIN for Samsung phones. They are great tablets dont get me wrong but the new wave of devices are unfortunetly going to make these tabs obsolete much better than the Acer devices you spoke of

[Q] Need some help with a fialed device.

Basically my girlfriends evo shift has pretty much bitten the dust, the backlight on the screen only works sporadically and i really don't want to fuss with trying to replace the cable, I just want to return it to sprint and get a replacement handset for her ( I know it's EOL but we can't upgrade till next year hoping replacement wont cost too much). I've been cruising the forums as well as google, trying to find a way to get it back to stock from CM7, I have read all the forum threads about how to do it I'm just having a couple issues.
1. none of the links for the ruus or roms seem to work anymore, I'm not being able to reach multiupload, don't know if its the firewall here or if the site is just buggered, anyone have an alternative d/l site?
2. HTC sync can't find the phone, windows definitely finds it ok, but htc sync says no device is connected, any thoughts?
I'd appreciate any help/thoughts anyone might have, I have full protection on our handsets so if there might even be a way to just bypass this and get sprint to replace the handset, I'd be fine with that too, I've got her info backed up so I'm rearin to get this thing done.
* weird side note, we replaced her handset last year on the 11th of April going from palm pre to the shift because her pre's keyboard stopped working, she may be annually cursed..
*I failed and writing failed...
Here's the PG06IMG.zip ruu. Just put it on the root of your sd and boot into bootloader. This is the 2.2 ruu http://db.tt/l36imqH1
