[APP][2.2+] Super Download 1.5 - Wifi + Mobile, like Download Booster [2013-08-21] - Android Apps and Games

WARNING: Some features require a rooted device.
SEE THE FAQ IN POST 2 (BELOW) IF YOU HAVE ISSUES
DESCRIPTION:
Download web files much faster by using wifi and mobile data at the same time!
Share or open a link from any program, like the web browser, and download it at speeds up to two times faster than usual.
This is the only tool that can download using wifi and mobile data connection simultaneously*!
*In 2014, two years later, Samsung released the Galaxy S5 phone which incorporates a similar feature called "Download Booster".
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- Using both networks together requires root access.
- Since this program uses mobile data connection, by using it you may incur in additional charges from your network operator.
- To unleash its full potential, this program needs good (and balanced) wifi and mobile reception/bandwidth.
- Using both connections is not supported on all devices / rom combinations.
- Some web servers may provide insufficient functionalities on the requested files.
- Currently only http and https protocols are supported (no ftp or torrent yet)
- The Lite version has a filesize limit of 50 megabytes.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR XDA DEVELOPERS:
This program is free for xda users if downloaded from this thread, but is a paid application on play store. If you want to support the development, buy it from the market and get automatic updates.
USAGE:
Just click on a link or open a remote file: if the file type is recognised by Super Download, it will start getting it.
If this method doesn't work, try click-and-hold on the link, select "share with" and choose Super Download.
Finally, you can copy and paste a url in the "add url" dialog.
There is a thread on Super Download and a youtube video here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc...xy-s5s-download-booster-t2829885/post54435368
PLANNED FEATURES:
- Multiple files together / download queue
- Other ways of speeding up downloads
MARKET LINKS:
- Full version: Super Download Full
- Lite version: Super Download Lite

***** FAQ *****
1 - Q: It doesn't work!
A: Please provide more information and possibly a logcat (main buffer, debug level).
2 - Q: The application doesn't trigger! Is my browser supported?
A: Did you try both methods (read USAGE on post 1)? Some browser do not support the first method (mostrly third party browsers), some do not support the second (only ICS stock browser doesn't, AFAIK). If both methods do not work for you, please post your browser and rom names and versions in this thread, thanks!
3 - Q: It fails and now I can't download the file without unistalling your app! Now what?
A: From SuperDownload, click on the download and select "send to default downloader": the android download app will start to download your file (not available on froyo). Or, some browsers support long-tap on a link and then "download". You can also install an additional download with different features, so android will ask you which one to use at download time.
4 - Q: When using both networks, mobile data stream gets interrupted often!
A: Unfortunately, when using both network, the system enforces periodic disconnects on the mobile interface. There is no way to avoid them, but the app tries to mitigate its effect as much as possible.
5 - Q: How can I download from RapidShare (HotFile, etc.) with this application?
A: Sites like rapidshare do not support multi threaded clients. They don't want you to have more than one active download at a time. So it would defeat the purpose of this application.
It is possible that, with some tweaks specific to the site, and maybe the need of a premium account, it would work. That would need a lot of time to develop, though :-\
6 - Q: Sometimes I see "Dual networks" changing form "enabled" to "suspended", why?
A: From version 0.4, Super Download tries to avoid using both networks together when one of the two is failing too often; this is to avoid slowing down the transfer when in bad mobile reception, for example. If you feel it is suspended too often or when it shouldn't, please report on this thread.
7 - Q: Does it work for downloading [put your favorite big file here]?
A: It should work as long as it's a valid http or https url (no torrent (yet), for example) and the web server doesn't limit multiple connections.
8 - Q: Does it work on a tethered connection?
A: I didn't try myself, but I got some reports that it works. The tethered connection works as if it were wifi, and you can add your mobile speed to it!
9 - Q: Why doesn't it work for downloading from the market/play store?
Q: Why don't you just replace the default android downloader?
A: The default downloader is not a "normal" application, it's a core part of the android system and libraries. Even if it was possible to take its place, it would be a compatibility nightmare, with all the os versions and different carrier/manufacturer customizations that are available.
10 - Q: Why can't you do the same system wide, for all the applications?
A: That would need to modify android internals and probably every application that needs it. Currently Super Download merges the packages from the two connections at the application level and there is no simple way (that I know of) to do it differently.
11 - Q: On my Samsung with original firmware and touchwiz I can't see the download history, even though I'm on later than froyo!
A: That's because samsung has taken their froyo downloader and put it on gb, ics and later, without updating the downloader api. You know, it's easier to make a customized program work on a new version of android rather than re-applying the changes to a newer version of the downloader...
12 - Q: Can you alter the app and allow it to do tethering also? I want to create a wifi network which combines two 3g networks and doubles the speed for the user.
A: I'm sorry but Super Download can't do this. The problem is not just enabling the interfaces (you can get some clues on how to do this on this thread, without the need for SD altogether), but combining the packets from the two channels. As far as I know, this can easily be done only at the application level; what this means is that you would need to modify the programs you are using on the client in order to make it work. An exception would be the use of proxies: most networked applications already support this, so theoretically it's possible. But currently a bit off topic for this project, unless it can grow to a much bigger application than it is now. It is in my todo list for the future, nonetheless
13 - Q: Did you copy/reverse engineer Samsung Download Booster?
A: NO. It's the other way around. My app was out a lot earlier. Super Download is, infact, the first application of its kind.
14 - Q: How's your app different than Download Booster?
A: Samsung's one is integrated into the rom, so it has a more low-level access to the protocol. This enables it to work on, for example, play store downloads, which Super Download can't. Still, none of the two can work on all the network traffic: they are both limited to the HTTP protocol and supported applications.

Does it work for you guys?
Is it actually faster than wifi only?
Please let me know

testing now, but I don't understand with the dual mode feature, can you explain exactly that feature used for ?

I think its using both wifi & mobile data at the same time, I'm guessing. Sounds pretty epic. Haha.

Dual mode uses both networks (wifi and mobile), maybe the label is not clear. I could change it to "use both networks" or something, what do you think?

No setup is needed. It should work out of the box.
Could you please try with another file type and/or another website?
Thanks!

So it looks like this is a replacement for the "Downloads" app that is already on the phone. It handles the download well, though I can't see much of a difference downloading as the server I am downloading from is the limiting factor, not my wifi. Here are some observations:
We should test this on starbucks or other limited wifi
The app did not ask for root privileges
It does not seem to route all traffic through the dual mode, only some file downloads. Am I missing something there?
All in all though, it is a cool experiment, I look forward to do some more testing with it.

I really don't think this makes a difference.

Thanks for your testing.
There are many factors affecting performance.
One is what you already said that often the bottleneck is the server itself, not the local network.
Add to this the fact that, when dual mode is disabled, the thread which should download using mobile is routed thru wifi, and you may get the file faster by using wifi only.
Moreover, android automatically puts the mobile connection down after some time when wifi is in use, leading to timeouts and needs to wait for reconnection.
All this can be mitigated, fixed etc. Just let me tweak it further and please continue reporting! More feedback, more fixes

Here is the new version:
0.2
- aggressive threading option added, should greatly improve speed on some servers
- network and layout tweaks
- timing display
- fixed FC when no wifi and both networks enabled
I'm getting terrific performance improvements with aggressive threading and some "lazy" servers!
So please have a look at this new version and let me know

Yes, that's the purpose of this application.
There are limitations, but it can be done, as this project demonstrates

Does it really work so well nobody has to file a bug report?
Come on it's alpha, it should be full of bugs!

When i go into the app it doesnt show that its downloading anything from any of my downloads and i dont seem to notice any difference, do i have to activate it some how once i install it?

[APP][2.3+] PassLock 1.5.1

Since I have a lot of passwords I needed a password manager which will fit my needs. I did not want a manager that keeps my passwords safe on their servers but I want to export my db so I can have a backup! That's why I created PassLock password manager and I release it to the market for everyone.
PassLock keeps your passwords safe using AES-256bit and is free.
- You can group your passwords
- You can change/edit your records and also transfer them to an other group
- You can change your master pass
- You can import/export your database
Anyone that will give it a shot please leave feedback.
Since v1.0 I have changed some things that you can find below.
Changes in v1.5.1
Disabled auto-complete/auto-suggest words in passwords fields.(This might not work for all devices and all android versions.Trying to improve)
Changes in v1.5
-Show/Hide option when you type your master pass
-Lock database only and not exit
-Highly configurable password generator added
Devices Support
Unfortunately google does not release yet any documentation about 2.3.5 and also I can not create an AVD with this version for testing the app.
I have test it on 2.3.3(API 10) which is also has the same API with 2.3.4(API 10). If google changed the API level in 2.3.5 it might not work and I will fix it when released.
As far for the SGS2 I am not sure why is not working for some of you...Maybe it's the rom you are using?!As I can see 15 SGS2 has the app working fine!
For any other devices I have to search more so please post your device with the rom you are using and if it is working or not.
Thanks!
Note: The 3 permissions that required are just for the import/export of the database and for the ads!
Download from here
thanks, id much rather have a local manager then a cloud manager.
Showing as incompatible with my Thunderbolt. Running A05PTh30RY 1.3X which is Android 2.3.5
So why does the app need internet access?
If it's supposed to be a local pw manager i don't see the need for any network access at all, specially not internet.
Ads supported maybe
Wraios file Maybe you could add froyo support too? Very nice app.
None of my device supported, neither NI Adam nor Galaxy sII
Works great on Galaxy S XXJVP 2.3.4, Speedmod T5.
seems to work, but can I access it while on the browser to fill fields or is it strictly a look up your info in this program then go to the browser and enter it manually? (or copy paste)
Would be nice if there was an option to autofill
I just installed on my Atrix. Seems to be working okay. I will do some more testing with it later. Seems to work as advertised--good and simple. Thanks for the dev work.
Will not install to my Tmo Hd2 running Android
The app doesnt work on many phones I think you need to fix it to gain wide popularity.
But anyways Thanks
And after going to my blog, I think you will Thank me also.
See here http://www.techofweb.com/google/android-passwords-manager.html
But again I dint like its non-working on many Android devices.
Hope you will fix it soon.
@jwgizmo maybe you do not have a 2.3+ version?!
Thanks vostdev

[App] [2.1+] SwitchMe Multiple User Accounts - Securely Share Your Device

SwitchMe - share your device!
SwitchMe is a unique application for root users that allows you to log in and out of multiple installations of Android just as you would on a desktop computer.
SwitchMe is a unique application for root users that allows you to log in and out of multiple user spaces just as you would on a desktop computer, with each profile having its own separate system settings, apps and data.
Some of the benefits of this technology:
Privacy
Securely share one device among many users, protect your accounts with passwords and log out automatically.
Kids
Create a profile for the kids, with only the apps and access you feel comfortable with.
Gaming
Overclock your profile for maximum performance in intensive games
Speed
Imagine a buttery smooth profile, with no kids games, messengers or bloatware to slow things down.
Testing
Create a sandbox profile to easily test applications and themes - no more nandroid nightmares!
Battery
Switch to a profile which only contains the essentials to save power through brute force.
Critical usage warning:
Incorrect use of this application can potentially harm your device. Before proceeding with use we strongly recommend that you perform a full nandroid backup through the device recovery.
READ THE HELP FILE CAREFULLY TO AVOID ISSUES
Without the Key, this application allows a maximum of 2 profiles and no security features.
Only the standard Android implementation of Apps2SD is currently supported. Use all others at your own risk.
Most devices should be compatible as long as they have enough free internal memory to create secondary profiles. The application will warn users if available memory is low.
These of course are only suggestions - there are plenty of other uses for the functionality SwitchMe offers.
Market link:
https://market.android.com/details?id=fahrbot.apps.switchme
The free version allows the creation of two profiles and has no security features.
Screens:
Adminitrator accounts
Any profile on the device can be given elevated-privelage administrator rights. These accounts have the ability to wipe all profiles from the device, or delete individual profiles. An administrator however can not switch to other password-protected accounts, only remove them or grant them administrator permissions.
Once you have granted admin rights to a profile, the owner of that profile will have the same privilages as you. You can revoke these rights from the same menu in security settings.
Incompatibility errors
These are usually caused by Superuser installations outside /system. If you find that this error occurs inside a newly created profile, go to the market and download the Superuser app and then go back into SwitchMe. You should now be able to switch back to your original profile.
These can also be used by erroneous A2SD links in your ROM. Try another if you need this app to work.
Custom Roms
Most stock based roms work flawlessly, some custom ones do not. We know that MIUI currently has framework glitches. CM7 and CM9 are known to work well - tested on Xoom, Xoom 2, Galaxy Nexus, Transformer 101/201/301 and Galaxy Tab 7.7/8.9/10.1, Incredible S, Sensation, Iconia tabs, Nexus 7
A general to do list from user feedback (not exclusive)
Must have
Widget like in Call Master [done]
Encryption
Export profiles to SD
Location aware (probably through Tasker)
Could use
More detailed info
App/data sharing
Custom lockscreen
Would be nice
Support for A2SD etc [done]
Reserve space for profiles
Oh WOW! Testing immediately on my Galaxy Tab 10.1!
Seems really amazing! but sounds risky, so I will wait for feedback from others. I just hope that the switching does not take up too much time or battery for that matter.

I dont see why not. Just make sure your current profile doesnt take up more than half the ROM if you clone it.
Alright, will make nandroid backup and try.
Is it possible to run two different android Roms ?
as in - On one profile have CM7 and on another profile have a stock based rom
No. Only multiple installations of the same base rom. Any content inside /system cannot not be changed.

[NFC UPDATE] [App] Fast File Transfer - The WiFi Direct For The Rest Of Us

Fast File Transfer is a free Android app that uses WiFi tethering for file transfers between two devices.
This technology allows for speeds of more than 32 Mbit/s, which means e.g. 1 Gigabyte in under 5 minutes.
NEW VERSION 2.0 12/12/2014
I'm proud to announce the release of Version 2.0, a complete rewrite with tons of new features.
I've opened a new thread specifically dealing with the new version here.
NEW VERSION 1.2 03/02/2013
Finally, the app allows pairing via NFC and more:
NFC (Beta)
NFC can now be used for connecting to the WiFi and opening FFT'S web address
You will have to install an app like WiFiTap on the receipient's device for connecting to the WiFi via NFC.
Please note that WiFiTap only connects to a WiFi that not already known.
NFC pairing is in BETA state currently. Send me an email if you experience problems.
New notifications that display progress, file size, current transfer speed and estimated transfer time
Hints for QR code and NFC
Added support for Android 2.2 (Tested on ZTE Blade)
Now continues sending when device's screen is turned off or the app is closed to background
Loads of bug fixes:
Error message on devices where the app could not get an IP
Multiple files should now work
Should now correctly restore WiFi Tethering
Menu works for devices without HW menu button
Progress correctly shown for files bigger than 4GB
Features:
Up to 20x speed of bluetooth
The receiver is device-independent
No need for a common Wi-Fi connection
No data usage for file transfers
The receiver does not have to have the app installed
Send single or multiple files
Easy to setup:
Use QR codes to allow the receiver to easily connect to the wifi and open the receiving URL
Facts:
Fast File Transfer
Developer: Florian Draschbacher
Price: Free
Platform: Android 2.2 and higher
Play Store Link:
http://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.floriandraschbacher.fastfiletransfer
PLEASE NOTE:
The app does not work on:
Motorola Razr devices (Restarts phone; Problem in Motorola's Android implementation)
Most HTC One devices
HTC EVO devices
Some Galaxy Y devices
Devices that don't have a WiFi Tethering setting, such as the Nexus 7
These problems on specific devices are caused by restrictions and changes of manufacturers or carriers that make it impossible for the app to access WiFi tethering. Please don't write bad reviews mentioning the app does not work on a device listed above.
Please feel free to ask questions or make suggestions for future updates!

Hi Florian,
Really like your app - it has a particular attraction to owners of the Nexus 4 (with it's somewhat limited storage capacity)
I've just posted about it over at modaco though unfortunately I can't post the link here due to XDA's posting restrictions.
Hopefully this will spark a bit more (much deserved) interest
Great work!

As mentioned in the app description on Google Play, the app does not work on Motorola's Razr devices. Sorry for that. It seems Motorola have a major bug somewhere in their WiFiManager implementation.
Excellent app
Works fine on Samsung Galaxy SL (GT-I9003) running stock 2.3.6 GB. Getting speeds in excess of 1600 kbyte/s.
Requests to dev:
1. Show file size, speed, estimated time remaining during transfer.
2. Include a "cancel" button.
3. Enable batch transfers (queuing multiple file transfers).
4. Include a notification in the pull down menu with details of the transfer.
5. Consider implementing it like Bluetooth file transfer. The app must be installed on both devices. Pair/authenticate the devices, then select the file and the receiver device. Transfer will start immediately. The app running in background in the receiver device will detect the incoming file(s) and transfer them, without user intervention. Of course, include an option to "ask always". For non-Android devices, there's web based transfer/QR code.
Thanks a lot!

I'm planning to include a receiving part right within the app, where you would only have to enter Name and PW of the sender once and can receive with one click later.

Developing an app that allows transfers to any WiFi device was one of my original goals, so of course I will always keep a way to receive without any special app. The receiving part I mentioned would just connect to the WiFi for you and open the web browser automatically.
BTW, some One V users report that the app does not work for them. Does it work on your One V? If so, which ROM are you running?

Just discovered your app and have to say it's brilliant. I've always been searching for an app allowing me to send files via wifi between to devices using the Hotspot functionality. You just made my day the only thing that could improve your app is a holo design and the already mentioned nfc feature

Hello here you will find the most recent TWC TV App from the android market... except it has ALL restrictions removed, NO ADB checks, NO proxy checks, NO HDMI checks, NO ROOT checks, and best of all, a method to watch ALL the channels while you're away from home, not just SOME of the channels TWC let's you watch; this can be viewed over 3g/4g/wifi... hell even 1x lol.
NOW the part I like... and maybe the reason why the root check was implemented by TWC.... you can actually WATCH live TV on any wifi, 3g/4G network away from your home! all you need is a few tools and you're on your way.... if this is of no interest to you then just scroll down to the download link
To watch outside of the home network:
Install a proxy server on a machine inside your network (a computer that can play live tv from twctv.com successfully)
I use wingate FREE edition (http://wingate.com)
Make sure you configure your router to forward traffic on that port to your machine
as a side note, make sure you assign a static IP on your local machine so your router doesn't get confused
also make sure you go to whatsmyip.org and get your external IP address (as you'll need this for the android side)
Install an app from the android market called "Auto Proxy (ROOT)"
Configure Auto Proxy to connect to your machine... here you will enter the IP you got earlier from your home machine and the port you chose when you configured wingate...
Now activate AutoProxy and all traffic will be routed through your home computer (all apps, etc...) meaning when you use the timewarner app it will think you're inside your home network!!
Make sure you turn it off once you're done watching TV, otherwise you will be consuming all of your upload bandwidth and also slow down your speeds since it has to go through the proxy...
Profit!!
Some Notes:
This app should work on any phone with gingerbread and up. (Tested myself)
Feel free to donate It took me a while to learn how to do this and it took alot endless nights
I think i should also point out that I didn't use anyone else's code to do this; I'm a lone developer and just like the challenge
I am also working on a workaround to the proxy thing... a way to watch Live TV on your cellular network alone... no proxy required (I make no promises but i'm looking into it and hopefully I'll come up with something)
I'll also try to release a new version if updates are released... try and keep everything current
Questions? need a more detailed guide or anything else? just ask! I'm here to help ... (but see post #2 first)
The 3.21.14 app would not be possible without GreenNasty... THANKS!

Thanks to those that made decompiling/recompiling easy!!

Bug List
APP Version 3.2#44: Some users report that HD doesn't work as well with the new app. Time Warner did alot of changes due to the move to streaming away from home, that means that they definetely could have messed something up.... if HD is not working properly for you and want to try the previous version (2.6#36) feel free to download it here: http://www.mediafire.com/?s3evtfhdedy3061
If you wish to decompile the app yourself, i have included comments in most of the important parts of the code that i modified... i will admin, they are HARD to understand and modify, but if you're looking to do it yourself in the future, I've helped you out
Issues/Troubleshooting
If you have tried this app and it does not work for you then i need the following information:
are you using the proxy instructions I mentioned or using the app using your home network?
MAKE SURE your device is rooted
if you are then please test it on your home network first and make sure it works (whithout ANY proxy, etc...)... if it does then let me know what issues you get when you use wingate and Auto Proxy....
if it does work on your home network but not with the proxy, then please tell me detailed instructions on how you set it up or if you need a guide on how to do so
do you have internet service through time Warner?
what device are you using?
what rom and kernel are you using, and what versions? (if you don't what kernel then just tell me which rom and version and i'll figure it out)
Are you rooted? With Super SU or just SuperUser?
All of the above checked? then i will need a logcat while the app is running Feel free to pm me the logcat ONLY after you have posted what i've requested and I'll let you know to send me a logcat... i don't want to receive random logcats and will ignore them if i haven't seen your information in this thread first!
Logcats can be taken via: adb shell logcat
OR adb shell and then type logcat, you can use the -f parameter to save it to a file rather than copying it from your command prompt to a file...
If there is anything else you think i should know, then please post that as well.... any little bit of information WILL help, trust me
I am committed to help.... but please help me by following the above instructions to make both our lives easier!
Thanks!
Will this work home lan with rooted / adb on ?

I know i haven't posted yet, but i recently got the TWC TV app and found that it doesn't work on Rooted devices or EVEN if you have ADB on!! anyways, I'm a developer but in a different language, nevertheless I looked around the forums and figured out how to modify the APK and came up with this... what better way to do my first post huh? lol

I really do not understand why they care if rooted / debugging is turned on?
I mean its at least a little understandable if one has an unlocked
bootloader and running on a non-standard rom.
Didn't work for me

There is competing theories on why they care... one of the reason i can think of (which i said in the OP) is that you can use a root app to enable traffic tunneling through a proxy (thus circumventing their "home network") restriction
Is this the phone version of the app?? Just wondering because I'm trying to get it to work on my HP Touchpad with CM10 and the signed versions I have found for the tablet are around 5mb and yours its just under 2.
Thanks!
*UPDATE*
Not sure why you version is so much smaller but it works perfectly on my tablet. I have been searching high and low for a fix and this was it. I can't thank you enough!!!

Glad it worked for you! this app is what i extracted from the app market with my EVO 3D, however i did see code segments in there for tablets so this app should be universal... let me know if you encounter any issues
Thank you! Works perfectly on my rooted Nexus 10!
I hope...
I hope you can remove the nightmare msg: "We are unable to present this channell..." in Kindle Fire 8.9 with OS 8.1.4

I wish I could, unfortunately that's a problem on the server's end, not the app... sometimes certain channels are unavailable because tw is having an issue on their end.... unless you're getting the error on every channel... right now I think Disney channel is having that issue, is it happening with a lot of channels?
Works great on nexus 10 running cm10.1 nightly thank you! I had to edit files after updating ROM now I don't have to, appreciate your work. HDMI would be a big bonus, cheers mate.

unfortunately I don't have an HDMI cable to test and release a bug-free app... if you're up for it then i can give it a go and you can let me know if it works or not; I can have a new version out tomorrow if you're up for it
Great Job!!!
Just wanted to mention that I'm running your fix on my Kindle Fire and my Galaxy Tab 10.1
Thank you so much for the awesome work.

I will happily test it, i picked up a $10 cable from walmart, its a bit short but should do the trick. I managed to poke around in the code myself, dont know what the hell im doing, but thought i would give it a go. Anyway doing a file compare with your version and the stock version, i can see quite a few changes which im sure took quite a bit of time, so i want to say Thank You again!!!

I heard TWC app have troubles with some checkings with some ROMS maybe removing the checking when that message is shown. Look I tested on iPad, iPod, iPhone and. Samsung Galaxy Tab Android and works perfect but specific the problem is on Amazon Kindle 8.9 with iOs 8.1.4 and others in every channel no some channel is every channel the message and the message appears in no more than 30 seconds, in other words you only have around 30 seconds of video in any channel and the message is shown and other people have the same issues. If you have the code and you can check the message when is shown and remove the condition or if you have the source maybe we can see when the message is shown I can see to have an idea. If you look inside other forums in this webpage there are other people with dame problem in other devices.
Thank you

Can you tell me what specific message comes up? there's different messages that come up for different scenarios, if it's only "this channel is currently unavailable at this time" then i need to know specifics... what device, what android version, rooted or not.... a logcat of the app running would also be nice... I also don't understand what you mean by "iOS 8.1.4", afaik iOS is only on apple devices ... this fix is only applicable to android devices.
Let me know if it's happening to you and let me know the specifics i mentioned and i'll see what i can do about it.

PenTesters_Paradise ~ Take Your ROM to the Next Level

PenTesters_Paradise
Code:
[b][center]DISCLAMER[/center][/b]
I can not be held responsible for how you use this package.
I am also not to be held responsible if flashing this package
damages your device in anyway. This package is for
educational use only and should not be taken lightly. This is
the exact package that I use for my 2nd job, and is not meant
to just be played with willy nilly. Ask permission before doing
anything in public OR private.
PenTesters_ParadiseThis package was originally supposed to be a custom ROM, but I wanted to give everyone an equal opportunity to enjoy this package, so I converted it to something everyone can use! This package isn't for the faint of heart. This is for those of you curious about Pen Testing and for those who basically want to feel like they're bringing Watch_Dogs to the real world. Below I will explain the package, and what each item can actually do. I will also have YouTube videos (when I get the time to record them) explaining each app and package. I also have some custom content coming, some that will be shown off and not released as well. Please enjoy and remember to play it safe and always ask permission first before using any of these packages or tweaks.
What's A Pen Tester? If you're asking yourself this question, this package MIGHT NOT be for you. A Pen Tester is either a White Hat or Grey Hat hacker that gets hired by individuals or companies to basically purposely hack their products, networks, or any other sorts of electronically based applications. Pen Testers are becoming a big deal especially in the Gaming world. Dev companies are starting to get smart and are realizing that they honestly can't BEAT the hackers with out TRUE HACKERS of their own. This is slowly becoming a big money life style and more and more people want into it. This is basically your "License to Kill" when it comes to a product/project/ect. when the company or individual gives you the green light to crack in and have at it.
Package Includes
Screen Shots will be added to the 3rd post of this thread, tutorials for each app and the change log to the 2nd
AnDOSid
This app is an Android-based DOS attacker. Basically, this app allows you to simulate a DOS attack (Denial of Service) as a HTTP POST flood attack on either another person or a web server.
NetSpoofer
Network Spoofer lets you change websites on other people’s computers from an Android phone. Simply log onto a Wifi network, choose a spoof to use and press start. This can be a lot of fun, but always ask first.
AndroidVNC
please see this thread for all the info about this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=497187
aWPScan
This app lets you scan wordpress based sites for exploitable entrances to the sites admin panel. Fairly simple to use and can sometimes come in handy when working for a client and building them a WP based site.
DroidSheep and FaceNiff
These apps were popular for a very short time but are very powerful. They both kind of have the same functions as they work as a MITM (Man In The Middle) attacker service. Basically, login to any WiFi hot spot, and you will start capturing web traffic. You can manipulate the web traffic to do as you want from here.
DroidSheep Guard
This app guards you from anyone else using Droid Sheep. I'm not entirely sure if it will guard against FaceNiff as well.
DriveDroid
This app turns your device basically into a disc image mounting device. Basically, you can take an ISO or IMG file, mount it with this app, and install full operating systems to another PC. Read below on how to work it with the Galaxy S5 Specifically, as there's 1 special step you need to know
1.) Run the app and go through the setup.
2.) When you get to the selection about selecting a driver, select the 3rd item, which should be a "Legacy USB Driver"
3.) When you get to the point abut TESTING it and restarting your PC, this is where the trick lies.
3a.) As your PC boots up, boot directly to your BIOS (for HP and ASUS its either Escape or F2. not sure about others off the top of my head)
4.) From here, make sure your phone as connected successfully in MTP mode.
4a.) Go into Drive Droid (After MTP has been set), and select the IMG or ISO you wish to emulate from your device.
4b.) In the BIOS, Save Settings and restart (I know you didn't change anything, hear me out)
5.) From here, you need to test...
5a.) You'll either (after the bios loading screen) boot directly to the ISO or IMG, or into your standard OS.
6.) If you boot directly to your standard OS, reattempt from step 3 onwards, but at step 5, go to 6a
6a.) When the PC restarts, bring up your Boot Menu of options (F12 I believe on ASUS and HP)
6b.) From here, select the Samsung device listed, and it should boot!
dSploit
dSploit is a package of all sorts of tools ranging from MITM attacks to DOS attacks, and other testing abilities. Plenty of videos around on how to use this app.
HackAppData
This is for any app on your device. This app lets you modify the AppData of any application installed on your device.
Hackers Keyboard
Just a highly customizable keyboard.
Network Mapper
This app simply maps out the WiFi Network you are currently connected to, showing you every device connected.
Shark
Basically WireShark for Android. Lets you see incoming and outgoing data packets from your device and other things on the network.
Penetrate Pro
No this isn't a dirty joke (couldn't resist), This app works with decoding WiFi connections to allow you to connect to locked and private connections.
SQLMap
SQLMap is one of the most highly used tools around for SQL Injection attacks as its basically the best automated tool for it. There's tons of tutorials out there about it and soon I'll post one of my own.
LockScreen Widgets Tweak
Created by BigBot96, this tweak lets you apply Widgets to your lock screen. PLEASE Make sure you download the correct file. Currently, only the NE9 builds are supported with this tweak, but I'll have an option available for you to not have to worry about this.
Coming Soon...
Future Additions will be coming around soon for this, so keep checking the thread!
Kali Linux NetHunter Features.
So far, only supported by the Nexus devices, I'm attempting to port over the apps and data for this to the S5 as the first non-Nexus device to have support for Kali Linux control. Below will be the list of what will be included.
KaliLauncher
This is the heart of the NetHunter features. This controls everything, and launches all the different exploits available through Kali Linux. To learn more, keep reading
BadUSB
BadUSB is a form of undetectable Malware that is applied to specific USB devices that match the exploit. Basically, this hijacks your USB plug while your device is connected to a computer (windows based), and lets you install a faulty driver to it that houses your malware files. You could use this to transfer things like BotNets, Trojans, and many other forms of malware to a users system and they'd never even know.
DNSSpoofer
Basically, this tool just spoofs the DNS connection you're using or the other person/s are using and lets you reroute people. DNS Attacks are few and far between, but they're slowly getting easier.
PowerSploit
I'll admit, I haven't read up on this yet, but when I have, I'll edit this lol.
NoUpStream
This stops any up stream data entirely.
Other Future Additions
Basically, I'd like to convert this to something like a "Mini-ROM" that gives you a Launcher, themed Gapps, themed system apps, and much more, but for now, this is the temp solution. Next Update should have at least a custom boot animation.
How-To Install1.) Transfer the Zip file that matches your device to your SD card or Internal Storage
2.) Boot up into recovery mode and Flash the ZIP
3.) Done!
Special thanks to the creators of all these apps, scripts and tweaks that are being applied to this package. The ZIP packages below simply just need to be flashed to your Android device via SafeStrap (only method I can test). If someone could test a standard TWRP on a Dev Edition or another unlocked device, that'd be awesome.
Download Links Below
UPLOADING NEW ONES AFTER THE NEXT FLASH Test.
Thought it was ready, and realized it wasn't.
All apps are force closing -_- I'll fix it when I wake up. I've been at it for 12 hours now
Planning on updating this/adding a download?
Nice waiting anxiously for this
Waiting like wagging dog.... I went to source and got working nice..like to wait for add ons.

Kali nethunter had been out for a while for the S5 variants, it's like having a VM copy of Kali on your galaxy S5 the instructions/apps/kernel are all available
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/unified-development/kali-nethunter-galaxy-s5-t3298477 all the other apps he's taking about are available just search on Google or download a app called bugdroid pro from the app store it provides downloads and installs for all of these.

I don't think those function anymore on anything.. on pretty sure those security holes they exploit have been patched..

The reason I haven't is because Kali Linux has an official release for this phone as long as your bootloader is unlocked and you're on CM
