Will the same process work for A2 as well ?
Yes, it will. Many ROMs already incorporate that mod

Hey!
I've been wondering if the theme engine can be made to be usable under Froyo. I know it's possible because there's a ROM for the XPeria Mini called FroyoBread here ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1079463 ) which has the theme engine included.
I've tried to port it to my Magic ROM but it doesn't work. I've gone as far as to have the app up and running, but the phone crashes into bootloop if I apply any theme. It seems the problem is with some not found functions in libandroid_runtime.so or libutils.so. However, everytime I replace those from the XPeria ROM to my Magic ROM, it doesn't boot (well, duh!)
I was wondering if there was a way to port such a feature. If doixanh made it possible for a Froyo ROM for XPeria Mini, I'm sure it's also possible for a Magic, too.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance! ^^

the hell didt anyone answer this post this would have been nice

hello guys dear devs
I am not new to android devices but working on them as a developer is a new step for me. Right now i'm making a rom.
I have learned a lot and im really glad i bought my xperia L.
I want to make my rom for locked bootloaders, and im thinking of using it only for myself (not sure if i will release it, maybe), i have
managed to add cybershot and a sound mod to my rom and now i would like to improve visuals.
I want to add xreality or bravia engine (if i can, both) but i dont know where to get them, and the ones i have found need patched services.jar or
other weird things... Do i really need to do that? can i add these mods to my rom without having to change any other thing (just add files, from
the developer/porter)? do i have to use a special settings.apk to get the options working?
I hope you guys can answer, thanks in advance and happy roming

Hello everyone I would like to ask if anyone here has had success using a ported bravia engine 2 or xreality?
I have flashed thousands of zips and I don't know what to do to get it working. I'm gonna refresh my os (full of crap) and I would like to know what zip version should I use... As you know there are lots of ports so they all work?
Thanks in advance
I don't know about flashing zips, because the last time I checked CWM was unstable. But there is a manual method that definitely works on both 4.1.2 & 4.2.2 (I have tried it myself), check this out.
Hi i need this mod for firmware 5.1.1 (18.6.A.0.182).
Well this one won't work it's for KK. It also only works on locked bootloader
Look its working on my ULB. Why u told it not work?
Just cause you have that option in the settings doesn't mean it is working. Do your homework you'll see that bravia engine x-reality and supervivid all require drm/ta keys to work. Doesn't mean it's working properly.
Im buying a Xperia Sp tomorrow and i'm planning on rooting and putting a custom rom on (maybe CM 13) I'm wondering is there a rom thats based on either 5.1.1 or 6 that supports the sony bravia engine 2 so that it still works?
alot of people have said to me if its based on a "stock rom" then it will, is this true and also whats the difference between stock roms and other roms?
also if there isnt a rom based on 5 or 6 that supports it and only 4.4.4 does for example that will still do.
I Would also appreciate it if someone could provide a link to one (if there is one) thanks

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Stock would be what the OEM (in this case, Sony) releases or is at least the base. A custom ROM has a different base (often very close to AOSP), which include CyanogenMod.
Because CM would not have the libraries that Sony has, Bravia Engine probably will not work. Probably the only way it would be, is to use either the Sony stock ROM or something that used the Sony ROM as it's base.
Unfortunately a quick scan in the SP Development area does not match your criteria.
By the way, this thread may help:
> Sony Xperia SP > Xperia SP Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > Have stock... Want to put something custom on it. Confused
Can direct any questions there, once you have an XDA account.
A bit late for your final decision in purchase, but I hope this helps.
