Hey!
I've been wondering if the theme engine can be made to be usable under Froyo. I know it's possible because there's a ROM for the XPeria Mini called FroyoBread here ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1079463 ) which has the theme engine included.
I've tried to port it to my Magic ROM but it doesn't work. I've gone as far as to have the app up and running, but the phone crashes into bootloop if I apply any theme. It seems the problem is with some not found functions in libandroid_runtime.so or libutils.so. However, everytime I replace those from the XPeria ROM to my Magic ROM, it doesn't boot (well, duh!)
I was wondering if there was a way to port such a feature. If doixanh made it possible for a Froyo ROM for XPeria Mini, I'm sure it's also possible for a Magic, too.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance! ^^

well i thought i wld play around a bit n found a solution for now im runing
1 - SparksMod-1.1
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=753893
which covers the froyo rom and apps2ext and it seems to be running very smoothly
(dont really like the theme though)
2 - arabic patch from ayman assayad available from ardoid.com
didnt think this wld work as it was made for the stock cyan 6 mod and ive tried runing it on other adaptations on cyan 6 but has always failed
only thing is that phone seems to be running slighty slower after applying the arabic patch but its worth it

Great app indeed.!
Yes, I totally agree! Did you find a solution already,?
I tried the same as you and didn't succeed either.
I also like the Miui contact app. Would be great if some Miui developer could help us out.
I'm interested to know why default Miui apps don't always (or always don't) work on non Miui roms...
(im I'm on xperia arc s with camp rom, includes Miui skinning)
Hi, I have recently flashed the Advanced Stock Kernel from DooMLoRD and also the ICS++ Rom. I was just wondering, even though it comes with the AOSP Theme preloaded, is there a way to update the Rom so that I can have the on screen buttons as well? Many thanks, Bill.
hey
I'm pretty new to the rom szene but I already have some experience,
at the moment I try some roms on my Xperia Play R800i (for excample
TrueAncestor v1.6
or Xperia NXT Light Edition & Xperia NXT 1.3)
before I started with custom roms I had a normal stock rom
with go launcher ex and LockBot Pro so I had an unique phone ^-^
pros:
- the locker allowed to pull down the notification bar
- fully customizable home
cons: not really compatible in all - sometimes a bit stucking but was ok
so I hoped to find an all in all answer in an rom, but I'm a bit slayed by the floot of roms
so could you recommend some roms to me?
(only found ICS MIUIv4 want to test it tomorrow,
I'm tired >.>)
ps: sorry for my bad english ._. my school sucks
This is my first post on XDA..and i have referred every post regarding my problem...but i really cant find a solution..
i have an Xperia Neo V with MIUI ROM v2.11.23 ported by sdk16420 ..Its an awesome ROM ..but the problem is that i cant apply most of the themes...
I have followed every instruction properly ...even created a /data/system/theme folder...but the result is the same..themes are either not applied or cant be imported.! Also when I apply a Lockscreen theme ...it reverts back to a original slider down lockscreen
Any help will be highly aprreciated.!
Thanks
Xiaomi recently made some major changes regarding the theme manager which has affected custom themes. Possibly this is the issue.
