[Q] weird boot loop, tab can't be turn on or turn off

hi everyone
my tab got boot loop 2 days ago.i'm stuck at "samsung galaxy tab 7+" logo,i can't even enter the animation and another samsung logo,and every time i tried to turn off the machine,it did not.the screen just off few second and its on again with the same logo
and in the recovery mode, the tab said "can't mount thing" "no such directory" and etc with a "android + yellow triangle background"
i already flashing with ODIN(Firmware6200XXKL7/P6200OLBKJ1/P6200XXKL7/P6200XXKL7 and firmware : P6200XXKK6_P6200OLBKJ1_P6200XXKK6_HOME) twice and complete.but still got the problem
i would appreciate if someone help me to solve this problem or at least give me advice

try holding power and vol+ for at least 10 seconds, and keep holding it. or try power and volume down for 10+ seconds.
should attempt to get you into recovery or download mode.

i can go to the recovery mode and download mode..i already flash my tab in download mode and wipe data in recovery mode.but the problem still there
so what should i do?

see if you can get an adb log, you could also try Samsung Kies (2.0) It may have trouble finding device/ installing drivers; you might want to connect it in download mode. There are emergency recovery options in Kies I think, but its probably same thing as Odin. Are you sure that is the correct firmware for your device? are you familiar with Odin? possible bad flash/disconnected?/bad cable?
i recommend try flashing whatever firmware you originally had. a full stock one with .pit file would be ideal.

Try this instructions carefully. It works for any samsung phones:

but in step 3, when it says if you weren't in GB, don't worry about it. What it is, if you change version of android (i.e. from Honeycomb to ICS and vice versa), than you need to include pitfile and repartition, as well as flashing dbdata.rfs.

You can flash dbdata on pda field as well. Make sure you use the correct file. Before you proceed with it, can you go to recovery mode and do factory wipe? Let me know if you got any mounting error message or not after wipe.

Any solution yet? My device suddenly acting the same way when I doing Factory Reset in cmw recovery. I've try doing reflashing via odin to xxkl7 and dxkl3 with no lock, im still stuck bootlooping on first splash screen.
Something I found is that if Im flashing the rom using heimdall, it always failed on flashing the cache, with a message saying that heimdall being crash. Any advice?

continue holding vol up and power through 2 reboots, you should get recovery mode.
My device also experiences similar symptoms when formating /data. Perhaps the file system is corrupt or mild superbrickbug.
Anyways what I usually do Is Odin back to stock, when it passes it hangs at boot, reboot to recovery and factory reset/ wipe data. Should boot now.
For /cache issue. try the first step I mentioned to get into recovery and wipe /cache, actually format it too, if you have CWM Recovery. Wipe dalvik and factory reset too. Then I would try Odin to stock. And again wipe /data if stock Odin doesnt boot.

Are you able to go to download mode? If yes, try this. Check if the Samsung drivers are installed on PC. Reinstall them, if you wish. Then try to flash again. If Odin displays error, post the Odin's error log here.
Also, try to do a full flash, with bootloader update and repartition. Use, DDLF2 or XXKPE rom for full flash.

I installed the phone's drivers again via KIES and then the flashing was successful!! Still Thanks!

[Q] GT-P5100 softbircked or hardbricked

I had CM10.1-3 stable installed, and everything was perfect, then I turned on the native encryption, the tablet started to acted slow but working, one day I woke up and find the tablet will not turn on so here is what I have done
Restarted the tablet, entered the decryption password and still hanged
Restarted the tablet again and then it boot loops on Samsung galax tab 2 10.1 screen
Restarted again and it will not boot at all
No recovery
I can access download mode
So I did try to reflash CWM 6.0.2 again with heimdall and it failed
All I got was "Firmware error occurred while updating please use kies the phone ! computer screen"
No other mode is working
Got Stock rom 4.2.2 tired with odin finishes but still reboot is black screen
Got esspreso_16G PIT file repartitioned and reinstalled the stock rom still no booting
Using heimdall repartitioned with resspreso PIT file from 201202 and I got DOWNLOAD MODE AGAIN !
Try to install orignal rom or CWM brick again
Using heimdall repartitioned and installed stock kernel only and x-loder
So currently it is charging and have DOWNLOAD MODE stating count of customes and kernel of SMASUNG_OFFICAL
My question is, is this software brick or hardware ? and how I can get the tablet up and running again using ODIN or Heimdall ?

I am not sure, but what i would try:
Try Odin, flash Stockrom - uncheck "Auto-Reboot" !
When Odin finished directly boot into recovery from downloadmode.
Make a factory reset if recovery booted.
Reboot device.

Did try that, Odin 3.07 or something keeps flushing everything but the download mode on the tablet froze on 25% of the blue bar. then I get again error will firmware update, so I add again to heimdall and repartitioned and tried to flash the rom part by part starting with MLO as X-Loader and it told me successful with no reboot, tried to flash factorysysfs also stuck at 28% with heimdall, had to do reboot of the device, now the device is just blank black, no download mode, or the emergency firmware update via kies screen "phone ! computer" no idea what should I do :s it seems dead.

Why are you flashing pit-files all the time????? these files can difenitly dangerous and can kill your tab with a breeze if not used with care ....
you can´t do nothing with odin or heimdall if you don´t have downloadmode or "Black screen of death" ("Firmware error occurred while updating (...)")...

It was the only way to get back to DownloadMode is by flashing PIT file, however I managed to flash orginal Kenerl back at that time and I did manage to flash X-Loder seems that what bricked the tablet, Now when I am connected to the PC I can see OMAP4430 driver, Some saying I need to use JTAG "RIFF BOX" or maybe OMAPFlasher but I am not sure if this the correct step or not, what really bothers me that when I had DownloadMode odin will not finish more than 28% of the rom. what do you think should I use OMAPFlasher ? and if there any guide to do so ? I just need the tablet to have bootloader and Kernel so I can flash back with Odin.

well i was running more rom on the device when i droped it then i got the screen and digi replaced
and when the tech tuned it on for the first time after repair we got a udc start screen that says unknown error at the top
i can get to download mode though. but even after trying to restore the bootloader or flash a new modem i cant get to any recovery.
right now this is what it says in download mode.
odin mode
product name : SM-G900P
current binary: custom
system status : custom
knox warranty void 0x1 (4)
i can go to download mode or try and let it boot up to the samsung boot but it says recovery booting in blue and loops there on reboot.
i forget the name of the modem i was on in more rom. i think it was the one be4 ota6
but i want to update to latest version of modem and rom not sure where to start.
i cant seem to get back to stock or custom recovery at all. or even boot up to a rom now. and i honestly have no idea why? =( can someone help?

Follow the instructions from this post. Since you are soft bricked at the moment, you'll need to start at step 4. If you have an extSD in your phone, you might want to pull it until after you're up and running because the "Android" folder from Kitkat needs to be deleted and rebuilt for Lollipop.

Are you using the wrong terminology? You have to use Odin and a PC to install the .tar. Also, the first boot into Lollipop can take about 20 minutes. You have to be patient. I see you posting in different threads and you seem to be digging deeper into a hole.
Are you using Odin and starting by downloading (to PC) the file in step #4? Then follow the remaining steps "exactly". Re-read those instructions and if you not already downloaded the needed files, do that first.

Try this: Do a battery pull, then put the phone in Download mode, hook up to PC and then open Odin and then Odin custom recovery, either twrp or Philz. Uncheck auto reboot in odin and once it passes, pull the battery, unplug and boot into recovery. Also, you might update Odin, there's a link to Odin 3.10.0 in my post. Let's see if we can get that far and go from there.

tryied everything you said exactly phone reboots on samsung galaxy s5 boot logo everytime. Whether i try booting to recovery or the rom.

Which recovery tar did you Odin? You pulled the battery after Odin said PASS, then unplugged the phone, put battery back in and immediately tried to get into recovery? If so, I'm stumped.

I saw your post count, I knew you knew what you're doing, just wanted to double check everything. Sorry, I'm out of ideas. I did ask @tdunham to take a look at this thread, if he has some other ideas, but he's offline right now. Hopefully he'll check in later.

What about flashing back to an older version of android? Full tar flash.

I tryied ni3 already
but as far as i know you cant downgrade the bootloader.
if i could flash just the bootloader for ota6 maybe that would help.
i will try downloading ne5 now but my last rom was running a nkd modem.
im going to try and flash G900P_NKD_FullRestore.tar in odin if that dont work ill try ne5

this is the way i got it back from retech after they replaced my bezel and digitlizer and screen
i never had an issue with anything software wize before that.

Have you tried flashing the phone without any sim cards inserted including the sprint card? You are flashing from a powered off state right? You know it wont work unless phone is powered off before going into download mode.
As a last resort attached is the pit file for the 16gb G900P. Unzip and put it into the pit section of odin and flash the stock firmware again. It will repartition the entire phone when it flashes the stock image.

Yes I was using the pit file and yes I know to go to download mode from power off state. and no sim card is in the phone.

Bootloops at Samsung Galaxy S7 logo.
Will boot to download mode, visible in odin but upon flashing anything it will immediately restart and odin will FAIL.
Anything to revive this brick?

Worse case scenario flash a stock rom (odin) Use all 4 files AP, BL, CP and home_csc to try to save your data ( has to be the same as you have in your phone now) or CSC this will give you a clean installation

For whatever reason - donwload mode is somehow corrupted. As soon as I'm starting to flash anything it fails and restarts the phone...

What error do you get in Odin, check the logs.
Did you try flashing from another PC
re install driver
Un install Kies or smart swicth
Different USB cable
What odin version are you using

Nope, I haven't tried different pc/cable as the very same pc was ok to flash wrong recovery 5min earlier...
I don't have kies installed, I just had samsung drivers which were always working for me.
I am 100% positive its not pc fault just me being an idiot...

See what error do you get when flashing with Odin...and what files are you using when it fails to flash

I can't check it right now ( I'm at work) but it basically gives me fail on red backdrop. Can't remember what it says in the log, but definitely says Success: 0/ fail: 1
Last file I tried to flash was whole system rom. Just before that, I tried to flash TWRP for s7 exynos - the correct one but it failed. And, of course, it all started with flashing incorrect twrp which went through perfectly :/

When you get home, just try installing "Samsung Smart Switch" (it's no longer Kies) (http://www.samsung.com/sg/support/smartswitch/Smart_Switch_pc_setup.zip)
I understand that you already have drivers on your PC, but the Samsung Smart Switch might come with some updated drivers for your Samsung S7, which might change the scenario. Installing that, plus using another version of Odin (run it as Admin). I used this one just today. (http://dl.sammobile.com/Odin3-v3.11.1.zip)
If the flashing the recovery still fails, try flashing Stock rom under AP like suggested earlier. If that still fails.
Use Samsung Smart Switch's "Emergency recovery" but do the Initialization (2nd tab) by inputting your Phone model and let Smart Switch download the official firmware from Samsung's servers.
This must be done while your phone is in Download mode, so make sure you have enough juice to wait out the download process.
