Anyone know of an app to shrink video for mms? I can't send any, it resizes pictures but not video. My black berry resized video.
bumpity bump
I would like to know about this as well =]
When you open the camcorder, just hit menu, from there you can adjust the resolution, if you want more control, hit settings and you can adjust either a time limit on the recording or you can adjust what the maximum size you can record to, I believe theres a 1mb limit on the size, those options are in the same menu just scroll up from no limit and towards the top you'll see the various sizes to set.

See my problem with this is that I shoot several videos that I would like to keep the higher res on for, then later message them to someone. I have kids and the cell phone is usually a lot closer than the camcorder. So I don't want to sacrifice quality.
And I don't think the size limit thing works because I have it set to 1 MB and I still can't sent stuff, 1 MB is the CDMA MMS limit I think.
thanks for the suggestion though.
hi all,
new app: Status Bar Audio Profiles
i'm opening this thread for help and debug purposes...
"Status Bar Audio Profiles" is conceived to switch between a high and a low audio profile quickly.
To avoid remaining without ringers for longer than necessary, it has the ability to set a convenient timer to automatically restore the main profile.
The free version comes with ads and limitations about editing profiles to exactly fit your needs.

thanks all for the attention!
maybe it passed by unnoticed...
although the initial release hasn't been very successful, version 2.0 is now available in the market...
The v2.0 version comes with important changes:
. changed the notification icon behavior; it is now possible to hide it when the "high" profile is set, a much less intrusive behavior!
. removed any limitations about editing both profiles to exactly fit your needs

here is the changelog:
optional status bar persistence
removed profiles editing limitations
in-app purchased removed (too many bugs)
more accurate notification
changed some settings default values
About and Debug merged into Help
uncaught exceptions handled
minor changes
bugs fixed

Anyway since you've asked I will give some suggestions:
1)Kill all background applications with task manager (Inbuilt or any third party app)
2)It's better to turn off the location services (Turn off GPS). You can manually turn it on when essentially needed.
3)Set brightness to medium level or auto.
4)Set the vibration intensity on touch to minimum or moderate.
5)Better not to use live wall papers.
6)Keep your widgets as low as possible.
7)Turn off window and transition animation scale.
That's all! The basic keys to save battery life.

A simple app for monitoring and optimizing your battery, it provides battery information which allow you to control your power consumption, it comes with two widgets that can be set to your home screen, the widget background can be set to full transparent, the app allows you to display colored battery level on status bar with an option to hide it.
The app also estimates time left for charging or discharging modes, the time is estimated according to your power consumption; therefore, it will keep varying based on current power consumption.
The estimated time will not appear immediately, the app needs some time to monitor your power consumption to be able to estimate the time left.
And now with the latest version, you can enable your own power saving mode and optimize your power consumption with the optimization feature. both features are adjustable from settings
Features:
The app displays the following information:
- Battery level with number and battery icon.
- Battery status.
- Battery temperature in both “Celsius” and “Fahrenheit”.
- The estimated time left for charging or discharging modes.
- Battery technology.
- Battery health.
- Battery voltage.
- Charging electric current for wide range of mobile phones.
- Button takes you to system battery usage screen.
- Customizable Power Saving Mode
- Battery optimization feature, you can adjust optimization options from settings
The app has setting screen that allows you to set:
- Temperature unit.
- Widget transparent background.
- Show battery level in status bar.
- Power saving options
- Battery optimization options
Localized to English, العربية, Português, Polski, Português(Brasil).

How to update your phon
CpuFloat
Uses a floating window or the status bar to show
# the cpu frequencies
# the cpu temperature if (available)
# the text will turn red when the cpu temperature rises above the throttle temperature. You can set custom throttle temperature in preferences.
# the gpu frequency
# gpu load; not normalised
# the gpu temperature if (available)
# the text will turn red when the gpu temperature rises above the throttle temperature.
# awake time; the time the phone has been awake since starting the app
# deep sleep time; the time the phone has been asleep since starting the app
# battery current
# battery temperature
# current upload and download speed
In preferences you can choose
# floating window layout; vertical or horizontal layout
# to show the window in the status bar instead of a floating window
# the categories to monitor; all, cpu, gpu, temperatures, time, network
# which temperature sensor to use for cpu and gpu temperature
# to show the temperature in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius
# cpu throttle point; cpu temperature when the text should turn red
The app uses following permissions:
"android.permission.SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW" Needed for floating window, draw over other windows.
"android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE" Read data to show e.g. Cpu frequency, temperature etc.
"android.permission.VIBRATE"

No problem, I would have done the same. Maybe you can edit your first post it's not very clear who the WTF is at, your AV or the app. And it's the first reaction in the thread...
Anyway I contacted Fortinet to let them know about the false positive and they reacted real quick
We have received the file you have sent "CpuFloat_2.0.apk" and have verified based on our initial quick analysis that it did not perform any noticeable Trojan/malware like behavior.
We have modified our signature to accomodate this False Detection and will reflect on our next earliest possible update.
If you have any further concerns please do send us a mail and we will immediately assist you.
