[APP][1.6+] Status Bar Audio Profiles - Android Apps and Games

hi all,
new app: Status Bar Audio Profiles
i'm opening this thread for help and debug purposes...
"Status Bar Audio Profiles" is conceived to switch between a high and a low audio profile quickly.
To avoid remaining without ringers for longer than necessary, it has the ability to set a convenient timer to automatically restore the main profile.
The free version comes with ads and limitations about editing profiles to exactly fit your needs.

thanks all for the attention!

maybe it passed by unnoticed...

although the initial release hasn't been very successful, version 2.0 is now available in the market...
The v2.0 version comes with important changes:
. changed the notification icon behavior; it is now possible to hide it when the "high" profile is set, a much less intrusive behavior!
. removed any limitations about editing both profiles to exactly fit your needs

here is the changelog:
optional status bar persistence
removed profiles editing limitations
in-app purchased removed (too many bugs)
more accurate notification
changed some settings default values
About and Debug merged into Help
uncaught exceptions handled
minor changes
bugs fixed

Observations:
Those of you who don't mind, please leave a small comment in the Android Market, along with a rating that you find appropriate (but please avoid bad reviews and low ratings, if you have a problem with the app, ask first). If you do not have the patience to leave a comment, use the phone's Market app to simply rate my app (I believe you can't just rate online, you are obliged to comment, but I'm not sure).
And if you don't mind sharing the Market application link in all your social networks (or only the ones you prefer), I'll be forever grateful.
Thanks in advance to everyone for their support.

Nice app. I like the clean UI.
Nice app, has a lot of potential!
Keep Going!
Good work, keep going
Tried a few similar apps like this one in the past... Definitely like this one the most. However, one feature that I wish was added is the ability to add our own, custom icons. Will that feature ever be included in the feature?

Yes, it's planned for a future version.
But I can't make any promises when it's going to be available...
This App is just fantastic.
Keep the good work
Thank you all for the kind comments.

I missed this post, sorry for a late reply...
Well, I appreciate your help but right now I'm not thinking about translations. It would probably help me and more people would probably use it...
But...
I have lots of features planned and lots of releases will come in the near future, it would be a pain to maintain translations done by other people. I would have to wait for them to finish their translation before being able to release a new version.
For now, I want to avoid that. When the app reaches a more mature state, I'll think about adding a couple more languages.
Again, thanks for your help anyway.

i didnt include it. i`ll see what i can do next week.
Is this based on your update to DannyDroid's MIUI version or Galnet? And what's the difference anyway?
Which MIUI-flavor would you recommend in terms of stability and speed?
Thanks for your hard work - good to see new dev's working on the stone!
it is based on miuiandroid version with the usual improvements (ext2, for example.).
i thought of using galnet version but since miui is a closed source, galnet can`t really do much with it. and, it comes with unnecessary apps.
anyway, i`m still new to this and i hope to improve with each version
thanks do you how to enable 5 point multitouch in miui?
another question for hardware keyboard, when i press alt+g its output is "-" not "%",same for all others, can u fix this?
nim, why don't you combine your ROM with hebmiui ROM?
it could be very helpfull
or at least explain to us how do you app2ext on miui, I couldn't make it, thats why I'm using your ROM, wich is very good btw!
Checking the new one for few days and will reply. seems nice and smooth!
Just flashed this ROM today because i wanna try out something new
first, i'm very impressed by its speed. though it's by no mean as fast as CM7 and FM, it is fast for a MIUI rom. The horrible lags that pretty much killed MIUI for me are not there (or maybe there but are subdued somewhat). So if super high speed is not one of your concern, you can flash this rom for a change
Other than that, I will have to further test it and see how. it's not laggy so much as to push me back to my CM nandroid :x

[APP][>= ICS][BETA] Android Setting Profiles

Hi,
The beta of my new project is up.
Is a app to automatically set Android profiles depending of the situations (networks, battery, phone state, calendar, ...)
I known, other apps are executing this work now, but none works fine in Android >= 4.0 and none executes all my requirements
In the first beta, you can define profiles with a combination of the next preferences:
Network and comms
Airplane mode
Bluetooth
Mobile data
Synchronization
Wireless
Screen
Brightness
Orientation
Screen timeout
Stay on while plugged in
Sounds
Alarm sound
Dialpad tones
Enable speaker phone
Haptic feedback
Incoming call sound
Lockscreen sounds
Notification sound
Sound effects
Wired headset on
Vibrations
On incoming call
On notification
Volumes
Alarm
Incoming call
Media
Notification
Silent mode
System
Voice call
I plan to add more features in the final version...
In this first beta you can also apply manually any of the defined profiles
and define your locations (based on wifi, gps or cell towers) but you can't apply the profiles based on this (you can wait to the final release).
If you like this devel and you can help.
I need:
* A icon for the final app
* A translations (including english due to i'm not english and my english is poor). You can set it in http://www.getlocalization.com/SettingProfiles
* Beta testers
Please, if you report a issue, post a description and a logcat.
Thank's to all!

2) Does your program is able to turn on/off GPS (on rootes devices)?

[APP][5.0+][ROOT][2017.02.09] Recently v1.40 - Make recents useful again on Lollipop

With Android 5.0 Lollipop's release, the recents view (multitask button) became overview, and instead of showing you only actually running apps, it also shows you apps that have ran in the past. Over time, this screen ends up listing pretty much every app you have ever run, becomes completely useless, and wastes a perfectly good (soft-)button.
Recently aims to restore sanity, by limiting which apps are shown. In its aggressive 'running tasks only' configuration, it will show you only apps that are actually running right now. Because Android can be fairly aggressive itself with killing off apps, apps you have used just a minute ago may disappear from the list in this setup, and configuring Recently to remove entries that have not actually run the past few days may be the better option.
Aside from listing only running apps or apps that have run in a certain timeframe, Recently also allows you to limit by number of entries shown. Note that actually running apps will always be shown, regardless of this setting - only entries from apps that aren't actually running are ever removed.
Advanced
A number of more advanced options are available as well, such as showing a 'Clear All' button in the recents view (doesn't work on all devices), limiting the number of Google Searches that show up (originating from the Google search bar and Google Now), and hiding the Settings app.
Additionally, you can force remove tasks and documents that are running but have not been accessed longer than the configured age limit. This is a rather extreme measure that will result in tasks being killed, do not use it lightly.
Pro
Purchasing the Pro version supports my developments and will allow you to start Recently automatically at boot.
Future
This app is built specifically for Android 5.0 through 7.x. Future versions of Android may work differently, the recents/overview screen may be changed by Google, etc. At some point, this app may stop working because of this.
FAQ
Aren't task killers bad?
No tasks are killed by Recently by default - it only removes entries from the recents list that are not actually running at time of removal. Some of the advanced options can cause tasks to be killed however, but these are clearly marked. Task killing can ultimately be bad for performance and battery life, so be sure you know what you're doing and why.
What resources does this use?
Virtually none. There are no wakelocks at all. Battery impact should be less than 1% worst case.
Nothing happens?
(1) Make sure you have enabled the switch in the top right of the settings screen
(2) Make sure you aren't using a custom kernel that disables logging
(3) Make sure you give it a minute or so after first enabling it
When I press the back and the multitasking button really quickly, my last used app that is now closed is still listed
The delay in this case is about a second after the app close animation finishes
I just pressed the back button on an app, and I'm in 'running apps only' mode, but the app is still listed
Not all apps actually close when you press the back button. Most do, but some don't.
Nothing is happening at all, and I'm finding an 'unexpected EOF' error in logcat
Sometimes the app can't access logs. This is usually because multiple apps are trying to read from logcat at the same time. The app will keep trying periodically. Rebooting usually gets rid of this problem.
I can't get it to work
This may or may not be related, but Recently requires SuperSU if SELinux is in Enforcing mode. Another root solution will work if SELinux is in Permissive mode.

What about CF auto root for the Verizon S5 Running lollipop?!
It would be nice if the running apps are highlighted somehow to differentiate from the other ones, but I guess that's not the point of the app, just saying.. (though I don't have lollipop so I may be wrong)
Anyway, one of the reasons I don't have lollipop - gone.
Pro.. got thanks
I downloaded but I have no idea what it does. Can someone share?

This will make me save a lot of boring swipes. Another genius move from you, thank you sir.
Any way to tell if we have a kernel with logging on or not?
Running euphoria that uses lean kernel but app does not appear to work.

Could you make 'Recents' looks like that in KK? These cards view is slower than simpler one in KK.

[Deprecated] Kernel Adiutor-Mod [V15] [18JUL2016]

[Development Stable][Kernel Adiutor-Mod][V15 - 26JUN2016] A modified Kernel Adiutor (Kernel Tweaking App)
This project has been deprecated. New development is happening at KA-Mod Reborn.
Code:
*** Disclamer ***
This app is intended to provide an interface to tweak the features of your kernel.
In no way is my offering of this app an invitation for you to ask me what the various
features included in your kernel do, or what settings are "best".
Ask your favorite kernel dev. Preferably by PM, repeatedly. They love that ;)
Introduction
This thread will be the home of my Kernel Adiutor-Mod. This project was previously known as "Singularity Kernel Adiutor". However, when that kernel project shut down I decided it was time to unbrand this app and birth it into a stand-alone project. Especially given the number of people on various devices who have began using it.
Note: This was original started for a Nexus 6 Kernel. I attempted to post it to the Apps Subforum there. It appears to have ended up in the general apps form. If something doesn't work correctly on your device, please let me know.

Installation instructions
This app has had it's installtion directory, app name, and package name change from the Original Kernel Adiutor.
This was not done in an attempt to disguise it as it's own app. It was intended to prevent conflicts if you choose to keep Grarak's Kernel Adiutor installed.

FAQ
Q. Will you explain what (insest awesome shiny kernel feature) does?
A. No, ask your kernel Dev.
Q. What settings are best for my kernel?
A. I don't know, I probably don't even run the same kernel as you do.
Q. What settings give the best battery life?
A. I don't know. I probably don't even run the same kernel as you do.
Q. What kernel do you run?
A. Does it really matter? It doesn't have anything to do with the app.
Q. Can I post my benchmark/battery screenshots on (insert super awesome kernel with tweaked settings) in the thread?
A. No. Benchmarks, and battery screenshots are thread garbage and should really have some sort of auto-deletion. Don't post them.... anywhere, ever, for the love of god.
Q. I found a bug, what do I do?
A. Provide as much information as possible and post in the thread. What feature? What didn't work? Can you provide screenshots to show how it's not working? Maybe provide a logcat, if the app is crashing. If you know the sysfs paths and expected values, those always help.
Q. Something that worked in the original Kernel Adiutor is broken here... Why?
A. I've modified/added quite a bit of code, it's not impossible that I broke something along the way even though it worked for me. Please provide whatever information you can (see previous FAQ item) so I can try to fix it.
Q. I was using this when it was known as Singularity Kernel Adiutor (SKA), what's the easiest way to switch?
A. I apologize, but you will have to reconfigure things when you make the switch (and uninstall SKA). I tried to figure out some way to move the app data over, but decided it wasn't worth the time. You can probably move profiles over from the old directory /data/data/com.singularity.kerneladiutor to /data/data/com.kerneladiutor.mod
Unfortunately, I won't help with this process. It'll either work or it wont.

Information for Devs/Advanced users
Kernel Download Support
I have modified this unbranded release so that Kernel Devs can add support (and override whatever is included in the app already) for their kernel's downloads by including /res/kernel_adiutor_mod/downloads.json in their ramdisk.
Why? Well... It removes the need for commits to add support for the kernels within the app. Want support? Add the file to the ramdisk. Next time that a user flashes the kernel, the app will display them with your downloads.
Information taken from Grarak's Wiki
The original app required the files to either be downloads.json to be compiled into the app, or in the app's data directory. I simply added the /res directory and made the priority /res > data dir > app's resources. So the information is the same.
/res/kernel_adiutor_mod/downloads.json
This file is static, once configured and added to the ramdisk it will remain valid unless you remove/move the link file. It will pull this file each time the dowloads section is opened, pulling in whatever changes you've made to the linked file.
For an example of the downloads link, check any of the ones included here as well as the example in Grarak's wiki. This file will be dynamic, any changes that you make to it will actively be pulled when users open the downloads section within the App once the static file has been added to the ramdisk.

How to post a bug:
1) Clearly document steps to reproduce the issue you've encountered
2) Collect logs
Lots of methods to do that
3) Go to https://github.com/yoinx/kernel_adiutor/issues and create an issue.
Post the steps from #1 and logs from #2
Answer these questions:
What did you expect to happen?
What actually happened?
What phone/os/rom are you running?
Do you have xposed framework installed?
I know what people are thinking.
"But Yoinx, feature xyz is missing. How can I get it added?"
Well, simple. Provide me with the sysfs path, the expected values/range, a title and description. If you do, I'll see what I can do to add it.
Use the feature request function of devdb and post saying that is the if you like. Don't just post it in the thread, if this thread ends up taking off (probably won't :s) then it'll get buried.
Awesome. I freaking love this KA Mod. Been using it for ages now.
I'm gonna take this for a spin , thank you for your work
This one works very well with my kernel and what i use personally...glad to have you around.. thanks @Yoinx

It'll work on anything that kernel Adiutor worked on. This just has additional features.
The reason I mentioned that I had originally built it for nexus 6 is because some sysfs paths may be device specific.

Nevermind, its the way that I made it ask for permission, you're not on M... so that's why it's crashing. I'll have it fixed soon.

No, you don't have to be on M. M just requires a different request for permissions in the app. I added the request, but I forgot to add an API check, as that check doesn't exist on anything below M... hence the crash.
Grarak checks for it somewhere else in the app. I just prefer to make it ask when you first open it.
Many thanks @Yoinx it works like a charm on my OnePlus One.

The developer of that project shut it down. So I decided to unbrand this app as well as make it easier for developers to add their own download support.
The reason I included the name on the title was for old users that might be searching for it.

No, I had explained to him from the beginning that I had no interest in maintaining a kernel... Hence why I hadn't put out my own.
