CM9 IC-S ADD ON - Inverted App MOD - XPERIA X10 Themes and Apps

I put this together to use as an addon for my CM9 ARC IC-S theme (which is currently in the works) however it will work on its own.
It's mainly RACER (X)'s inverted addon with sony icons, bgs, etc.
Should work on most devices but with CM9 ONLY.
Just flash with cwm. Although it will replace app data it won't erase any personal. Only thing I have yet no convenient way to get back to orig. Would just have to reinstall. eb
Known Bugs: "Desk Clock" portion of clock app not functional, working on it.

Is this compatible with fxp121? I know you said that the main pack is, but I just want to make sure that this was updated too. thx!

Yes, it should be good to go as is since it doesn't contain any system fw or UI components. However this package will be updated w the rest and probably soon merged.
I've been trying to provide as much guidance as possible in this transition but its definitely riding the razors edge. This is mainly why I've tried to break it apart at this stage so hopefully regardless of version or compatibility all should be able to find something useful to play around with.
It is inspiring to see that ICS will in-fact be very "Theme Friendly" when its all said and done. Just have to bear through the transition a wee bit longer. Although messing around with this now is maybe a bit premature I'm already going to have a hard time going back to GB. Its def named adequately, like candy.lol
Look for updates hopefully later this evening but don't let that stop anybody from running w it now. Trying to get it to a stopping point so I can port the bulk of it over to Theme Chooser. Still got just a little bit to go though. Please bear w me. eb

P.S. Just realized that I needed to clarify that the main pack is not yet FXP121 ready until the updates. There are some variations that were causing me boot loops and although I was finally able to make it work as is, there were most certainly a few hurdles involved. Won't hurt to try it just be sure n backup first. However as much work as it is just to put all this stuff together might suggest hanging out for the updates before committing any serious time. Have those up soon as possible, or soon as my eyes come un-crossed from looking at screens. eb

Whatever you did to the mms.apk (text messaging app), made it unusable. Basically it didn't show up in the launcher, and wasn't in the list of system apps (settings/apps/all applications) I had to copy the original mms.apk from the original rom.

Hmm, try this. Its working on my device. By the way was that the only issue you've encountered so far?

Besides that issue, rotating the screen causes the status bar to shrink upwards. When you open the notification drawer (after turning the screen) it appears to shift upwards and to the left, leaving a "gap" between the notification drawer and your apps.
Actually, never mind... it stopped doing that for some reason. Huh...

You know now that u mentioned that I encountered the same thing after I installed this package over a system which was already in-place. I had forgotten about it since shortly after which I moved on to FXP121 and basically just integrated most of this work into the actual rom update.zip install itself. After that things went pretty smooth since it all basically settled in together as a package. This mainly but not entirely the reason why its best to do integrations like this along with a fresh install, otherwise there will most likely be weirdness and who knows what else as the cache settles in. Some cases as we all know will result in a boot loop.
Thanks so much for the feedback, I should have the entire update package posted by morning, if I can stay awake that is. Worst case some time tomorrow for sure. Working now. Thanks again, eb
PS, This is mainly why I've been packaging w gapps to encourage a fresh install. What are thoughts on delivery? Guess I could see if FXP w mind me offering a complete integrated package, or recovery etc. Theme Chooser will help but there will still be things to flash regardless. Any thoughts on this w be greatly appreciated. eb

Why not a combination of Theme Chooser Apk and Zip Themer/Metamorph. That way it isn't necessary for you to redo it when FXP CM9 versions change. ****, wouldn't that work for enabling on screen buttons in CM9, I like the visible buttons. And if its in the launcher like below, if you are in screens like dialer they disappear.

Yeah that would probably work. I've had mixed results with metamorph but for the convenience factor alone its def worth taking another look. Since most of the data is just about in place it prob wouldn't be too much work to test. I'll look into it. Many Thanks and if there are anymore suggestions by all means keep em coming. For now in order to get FXP121 compatibility out there soon as possible, I'm afraid its gonna have to be gapps. eb

Woah, this themed ROM really looks sweet and nice from the screenshots. I'll flash it in a few. =] Great work. =]
Looks awsome good job
Just downloaded/flashed and am getting it set up. There are some pretty neat little surprises in the ROM. I wasn't expecting the lockscreen, which I really really like it.
Flashing the Novatec kernel and will likely overclock to 1.113ghz. Been running the Fresh ROM currently with those settings, and it'll be a little different going back to a Sense ROM, but I think I'm going to like it.
Much props on the design and all, is there any chance on getting the background without the HTC logo on it? I don't use the 4x2 clock and prefer to keep my main screen very clean, but man, I love the design on the bg.
not unless i spend another 34 hours editing it...unfortunately that is how the wallpaper came to me.
Looks good. thanks for posting your rom. Will check it out now!
Very sexy!
Keep it up.
Do you have just a theme available? So I don't need to wipe

No worries, I just wanted to see if you happened to have a non-edited background available. I might try to see if I can photochop something together if I pull apart the .zip file. I'll post it on here if there is any interest and you give the ok.
One thing I noticed was that it seems all of the Facebook integration has been removed. I understand why (to cut down as much bloat as possible) but I wanted to see what .apk files I would need to pull from another ROM to get the FB contact sync working. I didn't realize how much I use it until I went to send a buddy an SMS message and realized I don't have him in my Google contacts.
so far so good. just got it up and running. one thing thus far, facebook would not set up for me on initial set up screen. kept tapping it but nothing happened. will try again but wanted to let you know. thanks.

Facebook for HTC was removed from this ROM. You will have to push the right files from a ROM that has them to get it working on this ROM.
Facebook was removed...still a wip...just get the HTC Facebook apk to suit your needs.
Best rom for the evo to date. Amazing color and phenomenal performance. Excited to see where this goes. Great work!
Ps - love the lock screen

This ROM is built off of the T-Mobile OTA update that amazinglarry311 rooted and posted here. It has a Cyanogen kernel that is slightly overclocked to 576mhz. Flash at your own risk. I'm not responsible for bricked phones. Make sure you wipe before flashing. I have also attached the blue dot wallpaper from Gingerbread if you want it.

Yet im making a nand as i download this file.
did you do anything different from your last post? like any OS tweaks?
i really enjoyed the stability and speed (im a nazi when it comes to performance)
of your last build (continuation of the 2.2.1)
also im on yoshi's 1.0, can i flash this over that since his work is a continuation or yours?
on the same rom as the guy above
This one you have to wipe. I tried flashing it over my last and it boot looped. The main difference in this one is the themed status bar. I'll be adding the gingerbread keyboard to the first update. Im gonna try out some other gingerbread apps tonight to see which ones will work and are an improvement.

I just wiped it all then flashed this ROM.
-snappier than the previous Jbrew... maybe ADW is laggy :/?
my apps didn't back up automatically but who cares cause i feel thats the problem that 2.2 has, its stalls everything up
-market downloads really quick on multiple downloads unlike before
-the GPS ping is right on the money
-i seem to be recieving all my texts all morning long
-3D gallery is laggy as usual but its not a big deal
-stock music app doesn't recognize half the artist, list them as unknowns (a trend I see with all Froyo roms)
-a couple apps close down when I try to open them, not habitual. More random if anything
EDIT!
NO Swap, it sucks . no compache, DONT put the app in home memory and DONT use the 3D app drawer. Launcher needs to better support these two. (Not JBrews fault)
my new froyo daily driver
great work JBrew!
It has been a while since I've flashed roms on this phone. I've tried RA and Clockwork and both end up in boot loops after flashing the rom... I tried a different rom too and got the same result, so it isn't the rom. Any quick ideas? I am rooted and wiped everything before flashing...
Umm start over?
Find RA's "how to unroot".
Re-root your phone.

Or download titanium backup... locate launcher pro... click it and uninstall... I believe you can't install 8.2 over 8.1... if you can't, make sure you have atleast one home launcher eg. Gingerbread launcher (or you wont have a homescreen to work with lol) then go into titanium to uninstall system lp... now u r ready to install ur 8.2

Hmm...
well, there's a lot of competition, so thats kinda tough. im a fan of the green and black theme. with that said, id trade fancy for complete stability. Im personally looking for a daily driver.
Pull down power controls like in cm6.1 maybe cm settings to fix the rotation to the right thing....everything else is awesome nice work man

Nothing major. at this point any cutom pgns can be accomplished by the individual... assuming they can root, they can edit the framework-res.apk.
as far as the stability goes, like i said before , im a performance nazi, so the occassional app reload [start an app then it shuts its self down, but then restarts its self] is kinda annoying. home sceen lags ect.
people always rant about how this is the fastest rom "ever" but when i seem to try it its never the case.
i like to run my beast as stock as possible. no swap. no compache, no ext. so a rom thats come right out of the zip "blazing fast and stable" are hard to come by.
I will say that your Rom along with a select few are worthy of calling fast and stable. so i would like to see more customization,[diff colors schemes, cms options are nice] but if its at a cost for these old phone, well then pock that! lol example, 3d gallery, too laggy for my taste but some like it. im personally not a dev so i just want a phone that works as a phone firts and one i can show my I-friends why they they chose the wrong device. well i feel you get the point. hope that helped.

Thanks guys
And thanks wewo, yea i just started getting into it last week actually. Got tired of boring layouts. Especially on new roms
But I tried about a half a dozen times to get this to work with zipthemer as a metamorph to no avail. I dont get it, but I have the files setup to just drop in the framework and systemui for every new release. Maybe we can chit chat about seeing what im doing wrong lol
And Yea, im not even using my own site for my files now that i downgraded my bandwidth =/

Very nice theme. A nice add on to the Tsugi ROM. Thanks for making it available!

Man I know I've said it before on the other forum, but this is without a doubt my favorite theme! It's actually grown on me the last couple of days and I've already had a couple of compliments on it. Thanks for this theme I'll definitely keep an eye out for your work because you've got some mad skills for sure. Is there anything in the works for the same theme just in different colors? I'm beyond happy with this one either way but I'm a huge fan of green so this theme in green would be unbelievably awesome (for me anyway ). Either way man thanks again I'll be donating soon.
Ha, thanks I definitely cant take credit for the images though. It was from on of MrDSL's Mixer themes for cm7 t-mobile theme engine. But the difference between a cm7 theme and a theme for a regular rom is like the difference between a rotary engine and a regular engine.. Kind of annoying, but worth it.
Hell im only about 70% of the way through the whole port right now. And also you are in luck. I believe their is a version of all theme images that are green. Just have to port it lol.
Thank you great work. I am loving the theme. Unfortunately I am not seeing you great icons for apps, like Maps. I am relatively new to themes. Do I need to enable/disable something to see the new app icons? The message bar matches your screenshots, just not things like maps, market etc.
Thanks again....
Ahh, the actual icons i'm using are from ADW Launcher using yOrk's blue ADW theme. Sorry, the theme has no icons yet.
Is there any way for the theme to make the notification toggles the same blue that the other things are? Everything looks amazing either way though.
Edit:
Any luck getting the dialer themed?
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Yes, I was actually going to work on the quickpanel icons right after I got a fully functional stock theme. Then work on the exra additions, then the dialer
Also I have noticed their has been enough downloads for the weapon version, does anybody have any info on that as to work-ability?
Updated the stock theme. I would test but I pushed my time limits to far today, got a lot of work to do Let me know!
Edit: forgot about the popup box glowing. That is now fixed with version 3.2. Let me know if you notice anything else. I'm flashing now also
Edit:
Eeew the battery looks nasty. Gonna change that
Since nobody posted yet...
Edit again!
3.3
Should be all done, 2 versions:
Regular stock battery (not numbered accuracy)
Added accurate battery mod if you would like it.
Fixed pop up boxes (nobody probably even noticed though)
Major UPdate for Colorized 3.2. New screen shots in post 4. Added about 250 images, including changes to contacts.apk & phone.apk.
I have not done the actual dial numbers yet, thats a little tricky right now. But I will get to it. For now, almost everything else is completed for the port. I did not add in the animations, as the fact im not to fond of them, especially when it comes to battery drain.
Let me know your thoughts =)

Edit3: awesome, just noticed the indicator in the xda app for when people are online is themed too. Freakin awesome lol.

I'm gonna have to test weapon and see how it does myself then. But 99% of the time, its impossible for a theme to cause random reboots. It can cause other issues no doubt, but random reboots are usually more software issues or conflicts. But I will switch to weapons for testing this week and report back + update to the latest colorized release.

was running weapon flawlessly before flashing this. and maybe cwm messed up th first time. reflashed errthang and its working perfectly again.love the colors. but im just wondering if theres a way to keep stock battery look. thats all i want but i love the rest of the stuff

lol, well I am glad it works now! I was afraid of searching for issues, so that makes me feel better. I can actually do a different battery mod with this theme. Go to http://uot.dakra.lt/kitchen/ And let me know what battery mod you want. I can take the current framework and systemui and just integrate any battery mod you would like to the existing colorized theme. You can also do this =) The framework-res and systemui are in the zip file.

A.C.T.
BY NST FOR TEAM NOCTURNAL SHOOTER V
Essentially, A.C.T. is a combination of my favorite parts from my favorite themes all mixed in together, with a wicked new clock added in for flavor.
Thanks to FDB8231, Mayfield, Fernando Sor & Bad Seed Customs, Budeone, Jarborough, and of course, our fearless leader, GRUESOMEWOLF.
This offering features a transparent System, Gtalk, MMS, Dropdowns, App Drawer, and many other user apps will be made transarent by the framework edits.
This is built from TEAM NOCTURNAL Shooter V files and I dont recommend trying it on any other rom...but if you do, and it works, please let me know.
As always, Themers and Devs, if you see something you like and wish to use, please feel free. Don't even have to ask. Just take it. No really, it's okay. I promise.
Enjoy!

Thanks! I'm using Shooter 5.4 and was working great. Added this theme and getting force close from htc weather wallpaper. Have you seen this pop up at all? I tried reloading your file again with the same results. Love the overall theme otherwise
Well, I guess is not a fluke then...I had another user pm the same thing. It's working fine for me, but I'll try to find a quick fix. In the meantime, If you want to revert back, let me know and I'll build a back to stock zip for you.
It's not the end of the world that I would rather deal with the FC until you get a fix. I like the theme
new thread,, new theme.. what up friend?
Okay gang. The temporary fix to the force close issue is to delete the clock. Then add the clock back in and disable the full screen animations. Something in the code for the transparent system is not playing well, and it may be sometime before I can figure out why. Sorry for this, but it will stop the FC issue.

Thanks for your efforts Bill! Looking forward to the fix in the future, but this will do.
Thanks. looks like the problem has been fixed. I'll have an update out sometime tomorrow.
Looks great! Fantastic job!

Uploading a new verison now. ver1.1 that fixes the force close issue with weather animation and also corrects a graphical error when using the searchbox. It's in the same link in the OP. No need to wipe anything in recovery..just flash and go.

Thank you, very nice work. Whoever didn't flash it yet missing out on great theme. I also like bootanimation, awesome.

Hey Bill long time man. Awesome theme an I flashed it over the Express ROM 3.6.1 I have the boot animation the dialer the keyboard the swirly chrome thing when loading and a lot of apps are transparent like titanium root explorer and tweaks. Oh yeah also the wallpapers. I don't have the clock which looks amazing, proly cuz of the resizing that would need to be done for landscape. It would be great if you could port it. I've always been a fan of your work. Just letting you know. You should give the Express a spin

A request from Kennycap is certainly a hard offer to pass up, considering how much you have given to the evo community. With that I mind I very humbly say, thank you sir, for your kind words. As for the express ROM, as long as the developers do not have an issue with me ripping it to shreds, then I would be delighted to port this theme. And thank you again.
Also, if you could send me a screenshot or two, so I could see for myself, that would be great.
Id upload the dialer too but as being on my phone I can't black out the phone numbers. I tried to pm you but couldn't figure out how to upload on that screen.
You are too kind sir too kind.
I'll ask Outerdepth but considering Gw has helped him out and its Shooter based. I can't see a problem. We are a community. I like your attitude about people using your work. Its on point as always. Thanks again Bill
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
That is very odd, Kenny. It looks as though the fusion graphics didn't flash, but the clock doesn't have any panels on it, and that graphic is in fusion (erased, of course) I'll load it up and play with it and see what I can find. Thanks
After looking through the rom, i notice that the rom still uses the standard system/app location for most of the system files. GW's shooter utilizes data/sysapp, so, that is where the theme is being pushed to. I'll make a few modifications to the updater script and let you know what i come up with.
##EDIT##
Needs some graphic fixes, but preliminary tests are positive..Considering these are the files from Shooter, not express. I'll start working on it as soon time allows. Looks like a fun project.
Flashed just give it a try.....great....great.....great work......but all of it didn't flash....only wiped dalvik cache and cache.....what else did it miss.....and did it say great work?
Sent from my Expressed out eVo using xda premium
Well, what didn't flash..and what ROM are you flashing it on? And thanks.
Sorry....tried it on the express .....can't really tell what did or didn't flash.....from the earlier screen shots u posted....signal bars on status bar.....icons that is can tell....mainly minor stuff......

Galaxy Exhibit CM9 PURENEXUS (10-07-2012)

Hello, I made a custom rom based on Jocala's CM9.
To be clear, most of the work belongs to Jocala and other awesome people that are beautiful.
WE ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL.
I want this to be a community-based rom where your (viable) suggestions are heard and make our clunky low-end phone less painful to use.

I took this from Jocala's CM9 thread.
This rom should be mostly stable but help me test for any problems. Also, it should be fine to flash without ROM wiping CM9.
Time to give credit where credit is due.

To you It's great to finally see some ROMs being generated from the cm9 base!
I've added this to the ROM list in the "Galaxy Exhibit General thread.
YESS, finished uploading! The problem had to do with a newer version of the Adreno libraries. I fell asleep in my desk then my computer fell asleep too. So that stalled my uploading and I had to re-upload at around 50kbps because of my crappy internet.
Rant finished, try this out please!

Getting ready to here shortly. Can't wait!
Edit: First thing that's a problem is SuperSU, please remove it because it is a major conflict with Super User. Phone is crashing big time because of it.

I think I'm going to use a script to remove Superuser because from a freshly-wiped ROM, SuperSU works fine (tested with Titanium).

BTW Google Now FCing, even after data wipe. I uninstalled with TB, then rebooted. The Google Search bar works again and GNow is gone. I may reflash M7 at a later time to see how it does. Now that the dust has settled, the ROM is operating smoothly. Initial boot was a nightmare however. Probably going back to RR but hey, it's great we are getting more ROMs from folks like yourself.
Thanks for the addition, with some tweaking it'll be just fine!
Thanks Dude! this seems awesome! since your looking for tweaks and such here are my suggestions
I honestly LOVE a transparent Cyanogenmod, so heres transparent status bar and system app backgrounds

I applied it to Jocalas last build out of preference, but I would love to see it implemented in your rom!!!
Thanks again!
EDIT: Also if you plan on just tweaking the 9/28 build (the latest one) continuously, I could just upload my modded apks )

lol, both of your problems come from the update-script file. The Google Now thing comes from me neglecting to add permissions (I'm a noob). IT TAKES FOREVER TO UPLOAD, I WANT TO REPEATEDLY STAB MY EYES OUT.

About the transparent thing, I'll look into it but I don't even know how to decompile apk files. I'm sure I can learn but if you could guide me or modify it yourself, that would be great. I plan on making an AROMA installer once I do learn how to.
If the uploading is so annoying just upload over night I used to do that when my up speed was slow.

That's usually what most custom roms are...
and this rom's forte is to provide a clean experience that's true to Stock ICS. I don't want to theme it or anything because I'm afraid enjoy the default theme (which I do). I will try to bring more customization into this at a later point.
