Has anyone noticed that in 4.0.3 the bluetooth "crackle" while playing music was gone and in the latest leak (4.0.4) it has returned as it was in 2.3.5 & 6?
Nope

I remember people talking about a problem with the bluetooth stack in GB (I had it). When the first ICS leak hit, it was fixed (HUGE difference if your listening). Now it's back in UCLE (bummed). Gonna see if it's there in CM9 Alpha 3. If anyone else experiences this, I would like to know I'm not alone.
I've streamed music VIA bluetooth on both multiple GB roms and the first two ICS leaks. I've never experienced the crackling noise?

I have been running PARANOIDANDROID (just installed v2.11) for about two weeks. When I talk to anyone via my bluetooth headset, they complain about the crackling (and I can also hear it was well). I have tried multiple bluetooth headsets and the crackle is still there. Any thoughts on how to remedy this? It's definitely unusable like this. Thanks in advance!

Is the headphone issue Rom related or a hardware issue. I am referring to music skipping and random voice dialing when standard headphones are being used(without Mic). Happens with DHD roms and cm7...not sure if this happens with stock (its been a while since I have been stock) .

On stock rom no root and none of those problems i use two different types of headphones one with mic and one without. *shrugs* so not hardware? rom issue sounds like. how many of the new roms support the multiplug 3.5 head jack?
I actually ran in to this issue the other day when I was running with it for the first time. The music player went insane and i think it called someone. Sig is current with my build.
Okay so this is a weird issue. When using the stock ROM for my Inpsire 4G (or any variation of sense ROMs) I get this occasional audio skip on my car's bluetooth audio. The phone is connected to both the phone and the media features of my Pioneer AVIC-X930BT the audio sounds absolutely fine then all of a sudden theres a drop in the audio for about half a second and the music has to catch up. Its not really a skip more of a lag. This issue does NOT exist with completely different ROMs such as CM7. In CM7 I have no issues whatsover. What could be causing this and how can I fix it? I absolutely LOVE Sense ROMs and have tried the latest Android Revolution HD (almost fixes it) and RCMixHD 1.5 and all have the same issue. Its not my SD card because as I said it works fine in CM7 however I do not like the look of CM7 and the "sense like" widgets are not to my liking. Thanks so much and I realllly hope there is a fix for it. Perhaps a custom kernel would do it? Or a different radio? Thanks.
P.S. Yes I know it works for some of you with no issue...but sadly I've been having this problem for a while and it's been bothering me a LOT.

The main issue is the BT stack that is used with the roms. CM7 uses a different one if I remember right. So not alot you can do unless you want to rebuild the rom yourself
Weapon 2.3 Rom
Problem is while being connected to my Bluetooth stereo in my car. The audio will play through my speakers when making a phone call.
The audio will not play through my speakers using Pandora or *YouTube. I have tried to switch the Bluetooth to Automotive option on and off in the Pandora preferences and that doesn't work. When connected to the Bluetooth in my car Pandora will be playing through the phones speakers, rather than through the car speakers.
I've tried uninstalling Pandora and reinstalling as well.
I previously had the LG stock Gingerbread on my phone and everything worked as it should.
*Now I'm using Xboarders stock tweaked gingerbread and Pandora over bluetooth works flawlessly. I'm thinking there has to be some solution for the Weapon rom. Bluetooth works with the dialer/phone but not using apps. Am I the only one with this problem?
Anyone have any ideas?

Correct me if I'm wrong but 2.3.5 GB roms have problems with A2DP (bluetooth) so therefore it's just a mere bug for now.
Interesting.
BT works OK for me with my Sony head unit... it used to work perfect with the stock 2.2 ROM, but since the "update" the A2DP skips or pauses every 20 seconds or so, no matter what 2.3 ROM I'm on. It does work on both the phone and music and general Android sounds and notifications, it's just a little sketchy with the A2DP. I have never tried listening to Pandora on the go though, I just have a bunch of mp3s and movies on my sd card.
You might want to re-post this in the Weapon G2x thread.

The stock 2.3 "updated" ROM and most all the ROMs based off of it have working A2DP, but it's still a little buggy for me.

I believe weapon G2X is based off CM7 not the stock 2.3 rom.

Just flashed AR HD w/ no-sense for the first time last night, coming from MIUI and so far it's pretty good. I used Cyanogen for quite a while, then MIUI.us, which hasn't been able to get the code for Bluetooth A2DP yet. The "other" MIUI rom fortunately does have A2DP working, but since AR HD is the most popular ROM I'd thought I'd give it a try even though I'm not a fan of Sense.
Major dealbreaker is that I can't connect it to my car's Bluetooth stereo. I had no problems with stock, CM, or the "other" MIUI rom, but with this, I just can't connect to it.
Tried searching around, but couldn't find anything from anyone else having this problem, so I find it strange...
Any assistance would be appreciated, thanks!

Im running 3.6.7 and it quite happily connects to my built it Bluetooh in the car. Although this is for incoming phone calls and not A2DP so I dont know whether this makes any difference.
I ordered a Bluetooh Music receiver from Amazon last week to connect to my home cinema system and I was hoping to use my phone to wirelessly transmit music, now you have me worried! I will report back when it arrives and I have tested it.
Hoping to find it on the doormat when I get home from work today
Hi,
Bluetooth is notoriously poor with sense roms.
Cm7 has a very good bluetooth stack.
Hence you can work games controllers with it. And presumably your car equipment.
On sense roms, though, it can barely work my hands free ear piece.
So, if you use a lot of bluetooth, you are better off on cm7.
Thanks for your response! I've switched back to miui for now, but in searches for a2dp issues with ar HD, I couldn't find anyone having a similar problem...strange...

I have revolution hd 6.0.3 and it still doesnt work... tryed it with mercedes benz inbuilt BT ... Phoning worked music not ... trying with Sony Erricson MW600 ... not working ... pairing ok , mw600 is selectable in the sense music app ... but no sound ... still playng out of the inbuild speaker of the phone
I have the same problem with Android Revolution HD 6.0.3. Can anyone help please?
I've ran a variety of TW ROMs including CleanROM, Hyperdrive and am currently running BoneStock - all are based on 4.1.2.
However, Bluetooth Calling/Voice quality sucks when I am paired with my car (2010 Nissan Maxima). I can hear callers fine, but they say I sound garbled and robotic. At first, I thought the problem was my car until I paired an iPhone and call quality was fine.
FYI, streaming music via Bluetooth works perfectly.
I've done research on XDA and other forums, and the problem seems to be with 4.1.2. Does anyone know if switching over to an AOSP 4.3 ROM will alleviate Bluetooth issues?
I like everything else about Touchwiz (e.g. the stability, battery life, etc.) and I know Google was messing around with the Bluetooth stack. However, I work in Sales and need Bluetooth in the car. Thoughts?

Sorry for not seeing your post sooner. If I get a chance, I am going to flash 4.3 ROM's myself (4.4 is still a bit unstable for my tastes) this weekend and see if the BT stack is improved.
Otherwise, I think I might jump on the Moto X deal happening on Monday (if the MotoMaker site decides to work. :silly
