Are the USA TMobile versions(1700 band) of the Samsung Nexus S discontinued? I just bought one from Amazon. I thought it was brand new but on the label in side the case it saids remanufactured.
If so, are the Sprint versions still being made brand new? *Don't want to pay ATT prices.
Best buy.....

At full retail price!! lol
if you're paying retail why not just buy the galaxy nexus for $399 straight from Google.
Best buy shows Nexus S not for sale anymore.
I don't want the Nexus because it doesn't have the Wolfson chip.
Yes it does....Unless of course you mean the GN.

I'm not sure about all Best Buys, but the stores in my area no longer carry T-Mobile.

Is $520 a good deal for a limited edition Nexus S??
Well that depends on how much ut is over an unlocked regular nexus s; also if the perks.if that limited version are worth it to you.
Captivate 2.2.1 Paragon
Well how much would I be able to sell it for?

I assume by limited edition you mean the google employee one which has the androids on the back cover. I've seen them on ebay for sometimes up to $800 but in my opinion that is a rather silly price to pay for a special back cover that will barely be visible. However, $520 is actually a little cheaper than buying the phone off contract (note that all Nexus S phones come unlocked but are locked to Tmobile in that they do not support ATT 3G bands).
I lucked up and got my limited edition for 350 brand new never used on Craigslist and there is absolutely nothing special or different hardware wise or software but the back plate is nice but to answer you I would pay 520 for it tho if brand new

The pricing as other threads have probably shown, prove that sam's club has a silly pricing point for their wireless devices. They had the phone for $144.00 and right across the street at a tmobile retail store I would have had to buy it for $294.00. So, if you have the ability to pick it up at sammy's or costco!
With contract tho right u had to upgrade???

Oh yeah. Def. with the upgrade or new line. But its still cheaper by far!
Radioshack has it for the same price.
What about if you don't have an upgrade? T-Mobile wants me to pay $499 because I upgraded 8 months ago for the Nexus S.

Without a contract extension, which you aren't eligible for, good luck finding anything below MSRP
I bought mine on ebay for 400 (380 + 20 for S&H). With Tmobile I would have had to pay around 549.99. Yeah right they were going to get that much from me. I also have my HTC G2 on ebay at the moment to help with the cost of the new phone. But this phone is definitely worth the upgrade, its so fast!
Ima just try to find one on Craigslist bc my chick is spoiled and gets what she wants yeah. I just got her sidekick 4g for her bday on 4th of July and now she wants this mytouch 4g slide bc she doesn't like Samsung and bc there's no camera flash kinda gay. She came from the old mytouch 3g slide so that's why I just figured she like the sidekick but yalls know women so yeah but let me know if u cone across ne brand new ones from cheap eBay Craigslist whatever

Costco (near me anyway) does not sell phones without a contract. They told me I couldn't even choose a T-Mobile Value plan - it's Classic or no sale.
Costco is in agreement with the carriers that it cannot undercut carriers with off contract price. Don't bother looking for that anywhere. Ever.
Craigslist, however, is another story altogether.
What was the original price for the NS4G when it was first released? Trying to figure out how much I'll get back for it when I sell it to Best Buy
599 or 699. I know after 6 months u get like 350 back
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
I bought my 4G from BestBuy on release day flat out for $699.99.
Why didn't you have them price match the Sprint retail price? Which is considerably lower. Just saying if you are paying "retail" then you have a case more than disputing a contract price.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G
$199 with contract.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G
I'm not disputing anything, don't they give you whatever percentage of the retail value back to you with their buy-back program?
Yes. Its 50% within the first 6 months. Here is a link.
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Misc/Buy-Back-Program/pcmcat230000050010.c?id=pcmcat230000050010
I wasn't saying anyone was disputing anything. What I meant was, if you were buying it retail you should have told them that Sprint sells it for $549.00. Would have saved you $150.00 on the release day.
Edit: Also in terms and conditions it says that the buyback program does not start til 30 days after the purchase. So in all actuallity you have til the 7th month of purchase to sell it back.

You folks must all be the daddy warbucks type. I got my NS4G brand new off craigslist for $170 in box, a month ago. Pays to arrive late at the party and pay way less.
They're giving em away for free a BB right now where i live
I traded my Evo for mine. Definitely satisfied with my end of the trade.

Hey all, Is it worth upgrading my Nexus S to a Galaxy S2X (Hercules) ?My friend is offering to sell me his brand new locked S2 for 220$&(no contract)..and I'm trying to decide whether I should get it as an upgrade to my one year old Nexus S or if I should just wait another year before upgrading.. What are your thoughts?
For $220? NO! NO! NO! NO!
Why would you consider that? $220 is the price of a new S3 in many cases.
T-Mobile S3 for $179 right now at Costco: http://membershipwireless.com/index.cfm/go/shop/do/PhoneDetails/productId/5366

A new S3 in this case would be $600+. OP would be getting it off contact (SIM - free) as opposed to on contract for approx. $200.
I say take it, because the S2 still runs more than $220 used, and you'd be getting it new for that price. That's a great deal!
Ps. Wanna give me your nexus s?

Locked as in locked to a certain carrier.
If his friend is selling it to him, how does his friend force him onto a contract? Unless he works for a cell company or a certified reseller, that is not possible.
And if he really is a friend, I doubt he would tie him onto a contract

Yeah, sorry I should have been more clear, there is no contract with the phone however I do need to spend another 20$ to unlock it.

Thanks!!!
Just left my local Best Buy, pre-ordered a white S4 on AT&T for a $50 reservation!
Don't forget to attach your "Phone Freedom" or whatever it's called this year thing to save an easy $50, provided you signed up for it before February....
Also, they are accepting price matching from Amazon Wireless this year, they didn't for the SIII, I had to PM with Target last year as they luckily had it $50 off on launch day, brought the total for my SIII down to $100 the first day it was available! Hopefully someone will have it for $150 again this year....
