Stuck in bootloop after installing SKYICS - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I recently flashed SKYICS onto my Skyrocket. After flashing it is stuck in a bootloop and will not get past the ICS boot animation. What can I do to fix this?

You can post this in the Q&A section for starters......

The best thing to do is follow his instruction to the dime....make sure you wipe data, cache, dalvik cache and format /system at least three times to be safe, that might be overdoing it but it definetly helps

Do you have a backup? If you do boot into clockworkrecovery to restore Rember playing around with these roms is like having sex you must stay protected if you dont have a backup I recommend pulling the battery out, put it back in and force it into download mode, then just run a Odin one click of the new leak and you should be running again waffle house dude is right though next time if you have a question post in Q&A please anymore problems just ask the community somebody like me will be more than happy to help your gangster ass out ha

I saw your multiple posts in the dev thread. You probably got a bad download. Re-download and check the md5

[Q] Hawkish Premium 4 RC1 with Hellraiser bootloop???

Hey all,
I wiped data/factory reset three times in RED CWM,
then flashed the Hawkish premium zip,
then flashed hellraiser immediately,
and then rebooted and now I'm on a samsung logo boot loop.
What did I do wrong?
I can still get on RED CWM so I might just go back to Infused...
but I wanna give this ROM a try.. so can anyone help me get on it?? =(

The locked thread was an incredibly poor attempt to kang the GS2 version of Hawkish.
There is also an i9000 version of Hawkish that should be Hellraisable. I haven't tried it myself though.

no, not the one for infuse 4g
yes, I tried to hellraise that one. (i9000)
but it didn't work...
but someone told me to flash the JVO version, and it worked.
but it's not the same as Premium V4... i think it was one of the older versions.. so i'm now back to Infused!
I really want that SGS2 Port though... haha
is someone working on it? other than that dev?

[Q] I am stuck in a CWM boot loop.

Hello all, I need your help. Today I flashed a zip on a whim, and it has ruined my whole day.
I have managed to get back to CWM v2.5.1.3 RED, and can flash zips and clear cashes, all that. But when I reboot, it brings me right back to CWM. Any help for me? I am lost.
Thanks in advanced,
Nate
P.S. I am not afraid of the command line.
Try odin?
I have tried GTG Unbrick. That's how I've gotten as far as I have.
How long does it usually take? I'm staring at the Odin screen for about 5mins now and it still says "Set Partition" and "DO NOT TURN OFF TARGET!!"
Alright, FIXED, I just needed to keep retrying. It took like 5 attempts to get it going right.

bradman117 was kind enough to put together a thread with links to older Infuse roms and recovery options. One of his links should work. Just be sure to slap him a thanks.

If you have flash the CM9 once you have now to mount the system and flash again the CM9....
Here take a look of this video this is not the CM9 but this is how you should flash any ics for the infuse..

HELP, Clockwork Recovery Loop!

I was trying to flash a eaglebloods ginger bread on my g2x... however every time the phone boots up it immediately goes into Clockworkmod Recovery and doesn't boot the OS. I've tried formatting and reinstalling the rom but i still get the same problem of the phone going directly into recovery instead of booting. Please help!
have you ever dropped the phone? Maybe the hardware button (volume down is stuck)is failing? I've never heard it automatically rebooting to recovery unless selected from the recovery to do so.
no i haven't dropped it or anything... the last thing i remember doing to the phone before it started doing this was clearing the cache and davilk cache...then it goes immediately to recovery...i just got the phone too, i hope i didn't brick it or something
you didn't "brick" it look up what that means in Urban Dictionary, before using it. If anything reflash the recovery with NVflasher or try a different rom.
tried reflashing clockwork and still have the same problem
tried a new rom? maybe use the clean up tool from in the dev section.
Re nvflash cwm. This has happened to me several times. Do not try to flash anything else until you nvflash cwm again. If that don't work use the rom for recovery in nvflash that is in the dev section.

Try using this NVFLASH technique. It should restore your ROM & recovery to stock.

But the question is did any part of the flash fail. Just like flashing a rom. You can get bad flashes. Happens to me lots of times.
Bottom line flash the rom for recovery through nvflash and it will solve it. I've softbricked myself wayyyy too many times and got it back the same way. If it turns on and shows any graphic its not hard bricked.

I had the same problem with 2.1 and 2.5 on my phone. For some reason, the flash does not work on my phone the first time. both times I had to pull the battery when I got stuck on the boot screen then boot into recovery, re-wipe, fix permissions and reinstall. It always worked for me on the second try.
Good luck.

This happened to me once. Try to re-root the phone again then flash it.
Did you do a dalvick cache wipe too? Also were you flashing a kernel with 2.5? Are you coming from stock or a custom rom too? And if you are coming from a custom rom does it use a custom kernel? You should also check the md5 of the rom and verify it didnt get corrupt on download/transfer.

Yes i wiped the dalvick, fixed permissions, formatted just about everything and factory reset, when that did not work I formatted and wiped everything before and after the flash. still no luck. I was not flashing a kernel, (to be honest im not even sure how to do that) and im coming from a stock rooted rom that i got when i first rooted with odin. I checked the md5 and everything matched up too.
How!?

How do you re root? would i have to use odin to flash the rooted rom again?
The process of how you flashed sounds right.
When you say it's stuck forever, how much time did you give the phone to reboot. Sometimes with a new rom, it may take 5 min or longer for reboot to finish. If you haven't already, just walk away for 5-10 min before checking it.

Clean rom wouldn't install for me on my phone... Weird stuff happened on the screen during boot animation and then would vibrate like crazy and go into boot loop... I came to realize that it was the kernel and I flashed lean kernel and it worked perfectly... I think these roms act differently on everyone's phones and sometimes there's no rhyme or reason to why things work for some people and not others... Just my. 02 cents

I was having the same issue, but once you flash the boot.img it should take care of it. I'd be interested to hear if you have any issues when you reboot the phone to see if it gets stuck on a boot loop.
