Hey guy's! I'm new to the One S threads and I would like to know what happen to Cube Effect in Sense 4??? And will it be back??? I also have a Sensation, Shniz, a great! Sensation dev...ported over Sense 4 and in the beginning of the Rom it had cube effect. A little while down the line the cube effect has been taken out! So, I purchase One S just a little over a week ago and no cube effect! What happened???
Okay, if I debrand my One S with a unlocked rom, will I have to still have to pay T-Mobile for tethering??? You know the 15 bucks?
Thanks for your help great people of the XDA!

There is a workaround to the tethering issue, check the forums.

Hi, my upgrade is in 3 months and I'm stuck at what to get, the phone i have at the moment is a HTC desire hd, so am used to sense UI, basically I'm stuck between 2 handsets either HTC sensation or xperia arc??
I like to put custom roms on my device and play around with it a lot, but the sensation bootloader is locked and I've also looked through arc dev forum on here and didn't find much by way of roms.
So am really stuck between the 2??
Just wondered if anyone could give some advice as to which one to possibly go for, if they got experience with the handset or just what they've general heard or know?
Thanks in advance to anyone that could help

I would stick with the DHD. its an really good device. C:
Otherthan would i take the arc since the screen of the sensation is crappy in my eyes.
Would the dual core play a major part to getting the sensation over the arc??
I don't really know much about dual core and wondered how much better it would be over a single core?

quick question i am on at&t right now but i want to get new phone and i am thinking about getting htc sensation unlocked..will it work for at&t the way its working for t mobile..like connection, battery, faster or etc...if not then i will get htc desire hd....reply quick will be buying in next few hours....
It will work but you wont have 3g or 4g. You will be stuck on edge which kinda sucks. Everything else is the same.
If you really want the sensation, its an amazing phone, try getting it from bell canada because itsbon the same bands as att. Hope this helps.

Bad move that's an old phone. Sensation is a dual core at 1.2Ghz imo you should of gotten the sensation.

not nessessarily. There is no doubt the sensation is a superior phone in all possible aspects but having a phone that is stuck on edge in this times sucks.
Getting the bell sensation is an option but importing is going to cost quite a lot more than the desire HD.
Whycdont you try the galaxy s2 it actually runs like it has a dual core proccessor, nice design and is made of good quality. I had a sensation and within 3 hours it crapped out on me. Also don't forget that amoled screen. Sorry for my bad spelling in a rush.

just because you had a bad experience with the device, it does not mean the device is crap. People need to stop generalizing because it does no body good. Now I bet there are enough threads here about sensation vs sammy g 2 and about how the sensation is crap or how its the greatest phone in the world. It is not what this thread is about and this thread could pretty much be closed.
However I would like to say that I am very happy with my sensation. Design is to me better than the SG2 and I prefer QHD to a AMOLED with fewer pixels. It is however all preference and both phones are great. The OP ended up with the desire HD which is also a great phone
the reason i didn't bought htc sensation its because i don't want to stuck with edge...thats why i bought htc desire hd...and i don't like samsung phones because they look cheap....
sensation rocks
Hey guys I have a few quick questions and just would like to hear your opinions.
Right now what is the most developed phone that is dual core and has somewhat similar specs to the sensation?
Do you believe the sensation once s off and unlocked bootloader happens will surpase the answer to the previous answer?
IIRC it would have to be the G2x.
Personally I prefer the sensation over the G2x just cause of looks and just overall I feel like development will bloom since the 3vo 3d and sensation are identicle so if someone made Rom for the other it would be easy to port it to the other. My 2 cents

Ok so i dont think this question has been answered before.. But since the same temproot, permaroot method has been used to s-off the evo and sensation wouldn't custom roms work the same way with a little bit of editting to the kernel and radio since we are on GSM and there on CDMA? Idk im just thinking here..
Why would you want that? It's the same sense 3.0.

maybe he thinks he can get 3D effect just by flashing a rom
That would be cool. Lol

I see what you are saying, and considering the fact they are the same phone with the same hardware (except the screen/ram of course), the custom roms should work vice versa

Good job guys for flipping what i said so totally around.. I'm not stupid like some of the members here that post **** like this for 3D on the phone im asking because if you go into the 3d forum they actually have a bigger rom selection at the moment then us and are getting bigger and bigger so i was wondering if we can flash there's so we have a even bigger selection!
Good point Sir. But I think, now that we are all S-OFF the developing community will grow slowly. We will get CM7, MIUI and what else on our phones.
Yes stardust im hoping it grows huge.. But for the time being lmao i dont know was hoping .. lol
I was wondering if the Sensation is still worth buying? Browsing through this forum I found many people having some problem or the other..is it really a bug magnet or what?

This is the longest I've ever owned a phone lol. If I can get a good deal I might jump to the One S in a few months for the camera and the body but i really love my Sensation
Awesome device...Get it before it's too late
And what about the problems
Sent from my HTC One V using XDA
I've had my Sensation since this past August and after many hours spent tinkering, trying out custom ROMs, the only problem I've ever had is that I don't see an icon when I get voicemails. I saw the notifications initially but after unlocking it at the end of that August I haven't seen the icon again.
If something happened to mine, I would consider another model but I'd probably try and scope out a good deal on another Sensation 4G. It's a great phone!
considering the low price it goes for on the used market its completely worth it!!!
Does it beat the EVO 3d?
Sent from my HTC One V using XDA
They're almost the same phones - Evo3D has dual cameras, 3D display and larger battery (can be bought for the Sensation as well) and 1 GB RAM (instead of 768).
Take your pick.
It's very worth, due to the lower price. I like my sensation
It's a good phone, you can get them quite cheap off eBay, mine cost very little (comparatively speaking).
Great phone, still loads of support from devs
I haven't experiences any problem like dust under the screen or the like. Everything works great, and sense4 functions well.
If you want a used and cheap phone get the sensation. But i advise you, if you're going to spend big then look for other phones like the Galaxy Nexus or wait for the GS3.

What problems? Before to buy Sensation I watched a lot of videos on Youtube, read a lot of fourms etc - haven't find any problems, and while using also there's no problems. And mine is rooted and Sense 4 is just great, no need for One S.
Sensation is way to go
so i just got myself a Sensation XE, exchanged my One V since that was a good performer yet still had many defects, and woahhhh i'm absolutely LOVING this XE!
Thnx to everybody for their replies! i'm completely happy with my choice and jus can't stop lookin at the big boy..
Yep. I thought it was a bugfest here too but since the price started to get really cheap last month I bought one and surprisingly it was well worth it. Very fast and responsive on ICS (specially when on Custom rom). Development is superb too. Only issue I have is the poor battery life but these can be solve by buying an aftermarket battery (something like anker or chichitec w/c has 1900 mah).
I bought mine for $250 last month
