I came across a ROM (i cant remember for the life of me which one it was because i am a flashing whore) but they had "music searcher" to download mp3 files man what a great app, but i flashed another rom and cant find that apk! does anyone have it or know who has that ROM so we can request the apk. please?!

Good day all
while I am surfing the internet I have found this software called "Open Market", it is similar to Microsoft Market but this market is only for free softwares. also, it has one advantage over microsoft market, you have the option to install the downloaded softwares in your storage card (not limited to your device memory only).
there are alots of free softwares there. Its really nice, try it.
Instructions:
1- install .net framework (download it from here http://justpctech.com/PPC/NETCFv35.wm.armv4i.cab for those who dont have it in thier mobiles)
2-install the program (cab file attached)
3-run "Open Market", click on register and make your account
4-Login and enjoy 100's of free softwares

anyway for all visitors benefit, the downloaded files will be stored in Cache folder and will be deleted automatically when exist the program
It is very strange but this app makes my phone lagg. Its not noticeable at all times but in the main meny when you scroll and the clock started to lagg aswell when it changes the time.
I have it installed on my memory card and i have tried to reinstall it, made a softreseft of my device but without a result.
Anyone know what might be wrong?

it should works fine.
I had installed it in 6 htc hd2 devices , none of them get lagged.
it seems there is another thing that make your device lagg

if i am not mistaken it has to be built into the rom because more than just an apk is need for it to work... sadly

I am currently testing Kyrillos' ROM v10 (based on CM7) which is very good, but I was trying to restore some stock apps from froyo and, of course, this is not working at all...
I am really missing the memo app, but I have to grab back my memos backup, and unfortunately I can't find a working .apk to try to restore datas on it, is there a way to avoid me to go back to froyo to get my memos back and then reflash to CM7 (which is definitely my fav rom!)?

Because I encount sync problem, someone say the issue is solved in the new version HTC Tasks, but the HTC M7 is not allowed download the one.

Taskbar allows you to have fully functional windows for all your apps. I combine it with LMT Launcher from XDA to quickly launch other apps from any screen.

Thanks. I find that a launcher isn't a necessity with a desktop like Windows. Also LMT launcher gives me instant access to my most used apps.

I've sideloaded a number of apps but I agree that Play Store is necessary for full functionality.

Sounds good...BTW, every time I try to download the ROM, after about 20% the DL pauses...

Thank you for sharing your TWRP backup @lollyjay I have tested PhoenixOS now for a while. Of course it still has some bugs (especially the camera), but it looks very very nice and runs smoothly. Hopefully the next update features some fixes, improved translations, google services + apps and the possibility to fade out the taskbar.

Just a reminder that any app installed from the Play Store you need to manually set permissions. Settings/Apps/select the app/Permissions

Different Launcher
Is there a workaround to install a different launcher? I think there's a solution but for x86 PC's only. I find the desktop not so much appropriate for nexus 7 flo because of its small size (7'' only).
