I flashed my O3D with the newest 21E KDZ, when i flash a rom that isnt 21E based i have no network signal at all... but if i flash a rom that is 21E then there is network signal... Somebody might know how to solve this?
Thanks in advance

So basicly flashing a different kernel will solve the problem?
And i should have network signal with a different kernel?
Woot ima try it out, hope it works..
... nope it didnt worked, that s**ks.
So basicly i have to wait for the dev to update there rom to 21E eh?
There is samno kernels that are working with 21e. Try them. If you are using some other rom like 21d then your wifi wont work.

I'm trying to find out the best way to install a new rom & kernel.
Should you update kernel first then rom? or rom first then kernel?
Always rom first then kernel.

Thanks for the info...
any particular reason why?
Because when you flash a rom it contains a kernel that will erase any kernel you flash before hand. So say your wanting to flash morfics trinity kernel for cm7, you'd want to flash cm7 first then trinity kernel.
With the rom your using.... does your APN work?
I've tried the Power+ Volume UP and still no APN connection. My settings are there an selected but it doesn;t connect.
It should work, faux's rom are second to none imho.
But for right now i couldn't tell you since my baseband is unknown and gonna be sent back to LG.
y doesnt faux have goveners in his kernel...
or does he and i just downloaded the wrong 1 ...im using his kernel and my batterylife is terrible (very heavy fone user)
Its like that for all rom's and kernels for g2x.

Because the default governors of stock kernels are already very good.

Looking for a kernel to replace the stock 4.0.4 kernel in the leaked ROM. Are there any that work?
Thanks!

4.0.4 is not in aosp so the answer is no
Any of the ICS kernels for the NS4G SHOULD work.

Has anyone confirmed this? I liked 4.0.4 when I ran it for a week or so but would like to over-clock cpu to 1200.
I tried Matrix and it worked except for Wifi.
Kind of common problem with Matr1x.. wipe cache+ dalvik cache and flash again!! Does the trick for me!

I used Matrix kernel too, and everything seemed fine. Air Kernel should work too.
Would anyone be interested in making a OC kernal for 20c I like the file works the best for me battery wise etc and no gc issues. But since I am a rogers customer maybe it might be because of there network. But if someone would do that it would be awesome, and i get to keep my 4G.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I had them running on V20C.

Bestiaginger v1 works awesome no other kernel works with 20c version rom. And i still have awesome battery usage with it. Fast smooth and great benchmark scores. In sleep for 7 hours and the battery lost 1%.

The question is : Baseband 21e fix ghost calls?
yup
V21e fixes the ghost call problem on the stock rom, but with cyanogenmod 7.2 stable it is still there!
I think the fix is based in the kernel.
And cm7 uses its own kernel.

hmm... so is it possible to flash just the stock kernel over a cm7.2 installation to fix the GC issue? or take the paches of the stock kernel and integrate it into the cm7 kernel?
I flashed v21e following "
Code:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1540163
( i do not know how to post without showing the link ), and my kernel changed from version 2.6.35.7 to 2.6.35.7+
I think that because of that i have no network connection (sometimes i have it, sometimes no)
I tried different kernels, like promethius rom 1.5, promethius kernel v1.4.5.1+, xbsa_V21e_gb_ics, NovAndroid2.1
All of them show kernel 2.6.35.7+
I found titankernel_v0.4.2_v21d_09-04-2012 in a german site, tried to flash but it locked my phone
Now i am back to promethius, and i have network connection only at the street, never in buildings.
What should i do?
I had the same problem. I can't open your link at the moment but I flashed 21e fls and bin using smart flash tool and had no signal or wifi. I used blue kernel and it worked.
I flashed 21e kdz with xbsall's help and it worked. Now I'm running xbsa rom with Prometheus 1.5+ kernel and its excellent.

What ROM are you using?
Try using BlueKernel.
Flashed bluekernel, over V20c and now i had no GC for more than 2 days
