My one x wifi turns off after my phone turns off for more than about 15-20mins. As A result I do not get facebook notifications ect. Is anyone else having this issue?
Also: Is there a setting in battery or something? I couldn't find anything other than automatic sync which is not it because I have that turned on.
Your wifi turns off because that's the way the phone was designed...wifi uses battery and people gripe about battery life....so HTC employed good power management...my push notifications come through fine...Without wifi...

Hi there,
I have the usual touch screen issues as well, but haven't heard of this one: anyone experiencing the phone shutting down while in your pocket?
I have this quite often meanwhile, and no use in saying it is annoying. As much as I'd love it to be a software bug, I'd suspect it to be a loose connection between phone and battery, maybe. Only once in a while I have a restart, but most of the time my phone is simply off. Pressing the power button boots it up again. I can even provoke it sometimes in my hand when I am moving or pressing the phone a bit.
Sounds like a hardware defect. I havent experienced such behaviour nor have I read any similar issues. I suggest contacting HTC.

My phone has also been restarting at random. It has happened more than 3 times today. On top of that, when it comes back on the apps on my sd card don't show their logos on my homescreen. I have to delete them and readd to get the logos to appear. Any ideas?

I'm experiencing the same issue. When I have my phone in my pocket it randomly shuts down. I don't know if it has something to do with battery contact. My experience was this only happens when my phone is under a certain battery level, like 40%. When I restart the phone everything its normal til it happens again and I boot it up the battery percentage jumps from 40% to about 18%.
The strange thing is when I try to charge, it charges up to 87% and it stops charging, while its still shows like it its charging.
only when I reboot it's shows 100%.
I haven't tried hard reset, maybe tomorrow.
Each night I turn off my Sensation. Really off, not stand by. After one night my battery drops from 100% down to 53%. No idea why.
Since then I sometimes look into the build-in battery-use (hope it's wright, my Sensation calls it Akkuverbrauch). The graphic shows activity the whole time my phone is turned off. HTC Support has no idea why. Maybe you have the answer what's going on in my turned off Sensation.
Are you using push mail?
No push mail.
But how should this work? The device is completely turned off. Sensation should do really nothing in that state, or am I wrong ?
Do you have fast boot enabled, in the power settings?
If so, it's some kind of hibernation so the phone can come on quickly and isn't truly shut down. The fact it's in the power settings means it must have some effect on the power...
Try disabling it and see if it stops your problem
Judging by the pic your phone still shows the battery at 100%. Once it dips below this it will display the usage activity correctly.

Yes, fast-boot is enabled. I'll try next night with disabled fast-boot and see what happens.

I have not this problems, but the tweaks chrisw99 seems perfect, so think to say us.
I hope, it will be done with it.
I have experienced this but found out that syncing caused it. Change sync mode to manual if you dont need it

Great ! I disabled it yesterday and this morning there was no nightly activity. Thank you.
Using GB stock on G2X (my 3rd replacement) and its been pretty good so far. I was connected to wifi and wanted to toggle it off so I hit the button on power control and it got stuck turning off. In settings it said turning off and was no way to turn it back on. Bluetooth and radio was still able to be turned off and on.
I had to turn phone off and on to fix the issue.
Anybody else have this issue before? Never happened in Froyo for me and I have a feeling it might be an issue related to wifi calling.

After I did the OTA update to 2.3.4 on my Tmobile Sensation 4G, I cant seem to get the wifi to ever sleep. It stays on no matter where I am; next to a router, in my car, outside, at home...
Attached is an example of a typical day's usage with some charging, because recently its been draining a lot quicker. I have tried restarting, turning wifi on/off, getting rid of all of the saved wifi networks and saving them again, changing the sleep policy, turning off the best performance wifi feature, pretty much everything. I have also attached todays usage thus far, notice that wifi calling is using battery even though i have it disabled.
I don't use wifi calling, and even though its off, sometimes it shows up under the the battery draining applications. Its not on though, I don't even know why its there.
Anyone else having this issue? Please advise.
Thanks
Wi-Fi Power Fix
First off, Settings>Wireless & networks>Wi-Fi Settings>Menu>Advanced>Wi-Fi sleep policy>Never when plugged in.
After any OTA the phone builds a current index and reorganizes the file system. This can take up to lets say just from personal experience anywhere from 2-8 days depending on how loaded your phone/sd card is. It is always good to plan ahead. Spare battery in pocket, charger at work/car/home. It may seem like I’m being lazy, but it’s more pragmatic than anything. The phone will truly get noticeably zippy at some point when you pick it up and you will remember this post. Have fun with your phone. It’s a great one.
Josh-
i dont really understand what you are talking about in the second part of your post after you mention the suggestion to turn that setting on. How could a setting take 8 days to go into effect? I have been using the phone for more than 2 weeks now with the new OTA.
How did You restart Your phone ? Using "Power off" from Power options ? Sensation doesn't seem to do a real power off in this case. After switching on it will start quite fast (~5s until asking for PIN).
So have You tried "Restart" from Power options or removing the battery ?

That fast rebooting is a feature called fast boot. I turned it off, and it actually restarts the phone and doesn't put into some "hibernation" mode.
So, yes I have done a full reboot as well as a battery pull before starting again.
Still the same problem ? If so, a factory reset may solve it, but You'll loose Your data.
If Your device is rooted You can create a Nandroid backup before and restore it afterwards, if it doesn't solve the problem.

I have the same problem after the upgrade as well.
Did the sleep policy suggestion work for you?
It should come of after about 10th mins but my battery is fine. Maybe u should root and see what happens.http://attachments.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=707292&d=1314908579

I've noticed a problem that has happened twice with my new Nexus 5 so far - it will vibrate and then turn off. I don't know if it is going through its full shutdown sequence or not as what has happened is that the phone has not been in use, in my pocket once and I don't remember what the other time, and all of a sudden it vibrates once out of the blue, I go to check the phone and it is off. I can turn it back on again but find it weird that it seems to be crashing and then not even restarting - but being off. It is not rooted but the bootloader is unlocked so I can root in the future, if needed.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
