[Q] How to delete backup that's synced and stored on your Gmail account? - General Questions and Answers

Hey everyone, just wondering how I can or if there's even a way to delete my backup that is stored and synced with my google account. I'm tired of flashing or resetting my phone and having my old contacts and other stuff (that I don't want on my phone) automatically restored when I sync my gmail account with my phone that I factory resetted. It's so irritating. Plus I want to start a whole new backup from scratch. Hope there's a way and someone can point me in the right direction. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 if that helps in any way.
Thanks in advance!

Xperia mini Pro contacts list transfer issues

I transferred my backups (including contacts list) from my phone to my PC via PC COMPANION software.
Since i flashed my phone I have been trying to reinstall my contacts list from my PC to my SDCARD on my phone, but i could only retreive 5 of my contacts.
I retreive all my mail messages with numbers but no names.
Can anyone please help as my contacts list is so important to me
and i only have it installed on my pc
it's an android phone, it uses google, why don't just use your google account for your contacts and then you will never have this problem again.
Of course, you could do the unthinkable and actually input all of you contacts from your PC into your phone using your fingers.
ok ur right i managed to retreive it through my google account.
For the life of me I don't know how it got there as i cant remember choosing to save my contacts in my google account. I Just used the backup and restore to backup and hoped i could just as easily restore.
Anyway now I am using a pice of software called MY PHONE EXPLORER which easily enables me to save all my contacts etc to and from my PC

NAW, sometimes it will auto save to your google account also. My current phone always ask me each time but some phones and ROMS have just saved to google also without asking. Glad you got it worked out
Hey this is my post no going off the subject please
Ok have any of you smart Arses managed to partition your Xperia x10 Mini Pro (u20i) successfully.
If so can you tell me exactly how in exact detail.

Q: Lost all my contacts with faulty backup, need them back

Hey guys, so I decided I wanted to flash a new ROM, to try it out and stuff. When i completed the backup of my original ROM, i used ROM manager, and thought that it was ok, so I flashed the new ROM, wiping out all my data, including my contacts. Now these contacts, I had only saved them to my phone, not my SIM card, but was planning on doing so, but since I had gained the contacts 2 days before, I didn't think too much on it. Bad idea. The MD5 from my old backup with all my contacts was never created, so I no longer have the ability to back up to the file. So now i'm here, and I'm wondering, is it possible to access the Data file that was created when I made the backup, since only the MD5 is gone, and access the contacts saved on it? Thanks again!
It's default for your phone to backup your contacts to your Google account. Did you disable that? If not then you still have them all.
always backup your contacts when working on your phone I think it's the most precious part of my phone and always have a backup of it and as for getting it back like mentioned should be on your google account
Tried that already, no dice, i never disabled it, so no idea >_< I found the contacts app in my old backup that I made today that didn't have the MD5, but when i transferred it into a different backups system.tar, it stayed at the front of the folders, so i couldn't transfer them into the system folder itself.
Just copying the app itself won't do anything. Have you logged onto your gmail account (on a PC browser) and checked your contacts?
Yup, no dice, nothing there. As a note, i have no way of contacting these people other than this number, sooo ffffff-
That's bizarre. I've found the automatic syncing of contacts and what-not to be nothing less than magical! Sorry it doesn't help in this case - hopefully someone will be able to tell you how to extract the data from the ROM image that you have. Good luck.
Thanks, as a note, my old ROM was Juggernaut 5.0

[Q] How can i restore contacts from samsung s8530 internal memory?

Guys i have a problem;
Here the description:
I have a s8530 with bada 1. I wanted to go to bada 2.0. Before that, I saved all folders of my phone to my PC with stune for keep all my data.
When i wanted to restore data, I found my messages but not my contacts. I forget to save my contacts with Kies.
And now i don't know how can i get back my contacts.
I think the only way to get back my contacts is to find where is the contact folder. But i don't know where it is.
I found two files in my save "phonedb_data.00" and "phonedb_vol2.00". There are my contacts in these files. But when i put these files in my phone, the phone restart, again and again...

How to restore deleted contacts from google account? |30Days +|

Hey! so.. I accidently deleted some contacts three months back from my google account... is there any way to recover them!!
i tried the google contacts restore and it only shows restoring contacts deleted before 30 days....
The data is too old. I don't think there will be any feasible way to recover the data for you.
That's not possible in my experience.

Any way to merge local and Google contacts on a Samsung S7?

My father replaced his old phone with a new one, but after I finished backing up and restoring all his data he noticed that many of his contacts were missing, or were there but had missing information.
Looking at his old Samsung S7 I noticed that for some reason many of the contacts have partial or all of their information stored locally on the phone and not on the Google account.
Is there any way to merge all this information into his Google account so I can then just sync it over?
