Hey guys, this is my brand new hybrid project. After sense 3.6 mushed with sense 4.0, I thought to do the same stuff but with an huge amount of aosp frameworks,libs and themed pure/hybrid parts. The result is a sense 3.6 based rom, but with ALL the redundant sense parts deleted to let the aosp framework free to run, and with some sense 4 structural, and themed parts. This rom can't be considered a no-sense rom, cause sense is still present in a way, I left the sense part useful and needed to make all the things work properly. So this is the hystory, now you tell me if this is not the fastest hybrid experience ever! Enjoy

Sharing Policy
First, I don't want "clone" of Berserk around XDA. Changing some apk's, adjusting or customizing parts of the rom is something everybody can do. Do not pm me asking for publish my rom under another name only because you changed the theme, or you have deleted apk's that you don't use. Xda doesn't allow you to publish anything under fake names, only making some little changes, this is called "plagiarism", and it's rude, illegal, and makes you a real n00b and a thief.
Second, I'm absolutely 100% an open source Dev. If you'll pm me looking for help, or asking my base (whatever not only Berserk) because you really want to make a different project you'll have my permission, and my help 100% of the times without any doubt. To be honest, Berserk base can only be used to realize a Senseless ROM, so as a matter of fact 9/10 would be a clone, and as I said I beg to differ about this "way of making" ROM's, but you can try as well to show me what you want to do, let's see. I'll be always glad to help young Dev's to build their ROM's.

NEW!! CMWallapers on a Hybrid Senseless ROM!
What's this? It's an apk developed by Cyanogen team, basically a wallpaper picker like the sense one, but separated from any gallery apk, faster, powerful, and now available for all Sense rom's:good: I managed to port it from JB, and includes wallpaper from sense 3.0, 3.6, 4.0, cyanogen, evangelion (berserk theme), all you have to do is a long press on your home and select the BerserkLockscreen "CyanogenMode wallpapers", and there you go This new amazing feature is available in the rom by default, no need to choose it during the flash.

On first observation its pretty fast.
What launcher do you recommend Memnoc? I prefer Nova but since you integrated 3 launchers maybe its not the best choice.
I notice weather live wallpaper makes sense weather crash but is sense weather even still in the rom?
I'll continue to setup now and report back
BTW, is it possible maybe to add "kill app with backbutton"function?

Ok i use apex cause i guess it's a lil bit faster then nova, i dunno about the hack you asked, could give me a link or whatever? I'll check this stuff with live walls.
Edit; Yap weather wall doesn't work, is something I have deleted for sure, but that wall it's crappy also on sense so maybe it's safer remove it..

well some like the weather wallpaper but its better not to have it if it doesn't work of course
I know that kill app function is in CM9 and some AOSP ROMs too. don't have a direct link to the hack itself sorry.
So far I love the rom man. didn't find any major bugs yet. Wifi and GPS work. Bluetooth I don't know, don't have any BT devices here.

ok that wall needs a lot of stuff to work, i fixed it now, but hey we are talkin about 13Mb of apk, basically the whole weather, so bye bye weather wall the bug in camera for gallery seems unfixable for now..

BTW, Inverted Gmail is not allways easy to use when people use for instance blue or green font in their emails(yeah some really do), makes it hard to read.
Perhaps you could use aroma installer and offer it as an option.

Okay soo I've finally updated to sense 3.5. Just wanted to get this out as soon as possible considering its been a while since my last update. The Rom is about 250mb zipped and it actually is a lot cleaner than the last version of the ROM. I was able to make this one more stable and take out almost double the widgets. 3.5 adds about 20 useless widgets on top of the old ones. I also worked on getting HTC weather working in this build since a couple of users asked about it.
I HATE the stock weird notification bar/icons so I have themed them to look more AOSP, just like you would find on any other non-sense Android phone. All in all, it really gives the ROM a clean, sense, feel to it. Rom is super stable and will give you more juice than the stock 2.3.5 ROM.

Hell yea this is looking promising, I've been on the prowl for a lighter sense ROM, just not too light. You've removed everything I would have and nothing more. By removing the HTC Facebook app the contacts pictures may not sync so I might miss that but whatev.. I can figure out how to add it back in if needed.
Any issues you know of yet? Either way its downloading as we speak

By removing the HTC Facebook app the contacts pictures may not sync so I might miss that but whatev.. I can figure out how to add it back in if needed.

AHH its finally here. I've been working on this ROM just to make sense more.... well not as resource hungry! I made a senseless ROM before but missed some of the features sense brings. It's crazy to even think that HTC ships out our phones with over 60 widgets, and random apps that lie there in the background. I've cut down a 400mb STOCK TMOUS ROM to nearly half that size. I removed most of the resource intensive apps people generally don't use. To start most Sense ROMs have about 100-150mb of RAM free, this one starts off with 240. So except to see an increase in battery life as well as performance.
I also HATE the stock weird notification bar/icons so I have themed them to look more AOSP, just like you would find on any other non-sense Android phone. All in all, it really gives the ROM a clean, sense, feel to it. Rom is super stable and will give you more juice than the stock 2.3.4 ROM.

2) Do a FULL wipe of the phone

Unfortunately it will take me forever to create a ROM with the weather stuff built in, it's not as simple as just providing the zip lol. I tried making 20 different versions of the ROM to try to get the weather animations/stock app working with the modified framework to get the AOSP notification bar and other tweaks--it never worked. Instead I made sure to just get the HTC weather clock working since that's a major feature most people want.
If you want I can release an unmodified gingerbread ROM with the same htc things removed. The weather animations would work in this case, but you wouldn't get the AOSP notification bar/some of the other tweaks in the ROM.

I love the fact that all htc apps tie into each other. IE in people you can see all the recent messages facebook and twitter info. if things are removed will it effect that?
and what about 4g icon and advanced power menu? can they be added pretty please.

There have been ROMS without friendstream in the past, it just wouldn't show up if its not included.
As for the 4g icon I can probably get to that quicker than the advanced power menu. (if the advanced power menu requires additional framework, it would take me a while)
Also people please let me know if I should change to the stock HTC look vs the AOSP kind of notification bar/tweaks.

Good idea about the blue, I might do that if I change the launcher style/change the entire theme to a blue rather than the HTC green.
As for the performance.... well friendstream would always be running in the background so I'm sure you would have performance better than not having it. For example people are getting way better battery life/more free RAM with the Senseless Roms on here just because it removes all of the HTC components. Likewise with this ROM, I can say I'm definitely getting better battery life right now though.
Love the Rom completely what I have been waiting for. I would prefer it to stay green but its up to you. I have a bug in the music player where I can't go into settings.
Do you have an apk for stock sense player. I like to be able to control the music from my lockscreen.
This is now my daily driver till miui is perfect. Sorry lol. I got u for now.

Hi all since i got my Sensation this week i thought let's use my O2X and DHD mod on this device too.
cm7 based (2.3.7) nicely themed and seriously fast!

The Default Camera can be changed with the Miui Camera, cm7 camera won't really record 1080p or at least not with me.
The Miui Camere does, only the settings say it's 720p, but when you select 720p and play the movie with rockplayer or anyother player which can review the movie properties,
it will show you it's recorded in 1080p
However, the miui camera doesn't support the front cam yet.
Both Camera apps can be downloaded below, both flashable trough recovery. Just test what's working best for you, or flash the default cam back.
if you encounter bugs or anything else you want to mention, please feel free to do so.
Please backup and fully wipe before flashing this rom
- If you encounter a "bug" like your home button won't work, please reboot, this will fix it. This is a 1 time reboot, then the "bug" is gone!

Yep read that thread yesterday
Just one thing I have found so far on this rom, the keyboard displays normally except for on the buttons where you would normally long press for a number only 1,2,5 and 9 show up on their respective keys.
I have a quick question. In ARHD stock browser, you know how the pinch to zoom is like super smooth (galaxy s ii, wp7 and iphone like) and the page gets rendered after you let go of the pinch. Is there any way to bring it to other ROMS like this one?

Well the point.... Ehm this is not a Sense rom, lot's of mods on top of the cm7.1 build, so that's the point. No roms are exactly the same.
some prefere other themes and looks then others, apps, etc... This is why there should be multiple roms out here so there's one for everyone of us

Well it's a free app downloadable from the market, so i don't know why i couldn't use it
edditing a new version, build.prop tweaks are not all good. So i'll upload a new one when it's ready, for now use the first release.
EDIT: Fixed, the media tweaks were not all meant for this device, v04 on his way.
v0.1 which starts with me not at all. Full Wipe ext4.zip executed, Rom installed. Restart and then it is already hanging in the splash screen.
Probably because you formatted /boot too.

First, why a ROM like this? Well, SmartDroid 4ME do mean exactly for me ehehe is my daily driver, I used to create my own ROM since I started developing, but now the result is so much good that I decided to share it with you. Every ROM as its own taste, especially this one. I've chosen to let a lot of sense 4 parts, or better, the parts I like more than others, like weather, new clock Google earth style, dialer, contacts system, mms, etc..why? First of all, because Sense could be invincible in some of its features (like what I mentioned). Second, because Sense 4 is pretty much aosp friendly in terms of look, and also in terms of functionality. So I thought, I'd like to build a ROM with all the coolest sense 4 parts, with AOSP touch here and there, with a new look, and with more clean ups and hacks that I used to put in my ROM's, trying at the same time to give you some new hacks like RAM management and SD card cache increase by default. The result is this ROM, tested by me and some users for a long time, no bugs found (except the Sense4 related ones), pure speed, never fc, reboots, never ever any kinda of malfunction, lot of RAM, unique taste, aosp features when I feel like to put them. HOW TO OBTAIN SHORTCUTS IN SENSE LOCKSCREENShortcuts are rosie related, without this launcher we can't port this feature, but I found a workaround to obtain the shortcuts without installing rosie eheh. The workaround is temporary, it will disappear as soon as you reboot the phone, but it's better than nothing I guess Here's the tutorial:
-download Rosie.apk (link above, please use THAT ROSIE)
-flash it
-reboot the phone
-the system will ask you what launcher you want, chose Rosie (no need to tick it as default launcher, just click on it)
-now, through "personalize" choose the shortcuts you want, with the apk you want, or just put the icons on navbar and as always in Sense they'll appear in lockscreen
-once finished, removed Rosie with a file manager (or whatever you use), choose Apex as default launcher when asked
-that's it, you got the working shortcuts untill you'll reboot the phone

Don't think this is actually AOSP, correct me if i'm wrong but i think that should be removed from the thread title as it is based on a sense 4 ruu just with most sense components stripped.

I love this rom... is there a rom just like this where all the sense is stripped but the lockscreen and camera on 3.6?? I NEED the wifi hotspot... thats the one thing i need.

first of all compliments for your job and for the innovations that you add to your ROM....this morning I have installed the your new ROM and I want to tell you my first positive and negative impressions (according to my taste)
IN POSITIVE:
- the choice to use Apex louncher;
- removal of all the superfluous apps;
- free space in the memory;
- fluid and reagent without lag (i confess i have changed kernel, currently I find a bit best the last of Faux);
IN NEGATIVE:
- Tweaks not fully fuctional (AOSP lookscreen don't work for me) with few personalizations (not to offense is only my point of view and I hope that there will be future improvements )
- Music Player that is best the player of the sense, or me I have added Music Player Pro that I repute very good
- Windget are few with few possibilities of personalizations suggestion to add HD Windget or similar to create a personal look what it has a good time a lot

Hey everyone. I've been working on this ROM for months. I'm not a big fan of Sense 3.6. A lot has changed since 3.0. Some features I'm extremely pleased with but not so much with others. So I came up with a ROM called Sense Mix. It's based on RUU 3.33.401.53.

All apps attainable from the Market except for Facebook (used by Friendstream), Maps, Street, Soundhound and YouTube (used by me)
Other apps I find useless (STK, HTC Facebookchat, possibly others I cannot recall)
Old Google Search and Voice (replaced with GNow)

Notes:
The ROM itself is T-Mobile USA optimized. If you are a T-Mobile user, you can flash Wi-Fi Calling. If you are are a Sensation XE or Sensation Z710e user, you can flash a patch to change the device name.
Sense 4.0 theme: I took SadeSkin 2.0 and fixed many errors I found with the images. I have also made the lock screen's navigation bar invisible. If you select a different skin, it will reappear.
SuperSU - I have not included SuperSU because it is in the Market AND because root apps are automatically granted acces (I don't know how I did that). There is a 'su' binary in the ROM so if you want control over what apps are granted root, download ONLY the SuperSU app. The binary is built into the ROM.
I've been working on this ROM for months. I know exactly how I want it to be but nevertheless, suggestions are welcome
Adobe Flash Player must be updated but it is not displayed in the Market. Bypass the issue by clicking here from your phone.
MOST IMORTANTLY: I am a chef, not a developer. There are system apps I want to modify since some system options are no longer relevant; for example,the Personlize app no longer needs 'Lock screen shortcuts', 'Scene', 'Add to home'. If anyone can modify the apps to how I want them, please PM me. It'll make this ROM more complete.

One suggestion, use aroma to provide users ability to choose app they want to remove, it is much better than u delete it by yourself

Where did you acquire the Galaxy S3 Touchwiz launcher?
Steve's Elegencia ROM has option to use S3 launcher in aroma.

Nice ROM, but i dont really think xLoud is working, because there's no difference on its loudness compared to xLoudless ROMs.
xLoud effect is clearly visible on viperS rom.

Congrats, great job on the port.
nice work on the rom, very smooth and nice as u describe.
how ever i did experience wifi issue, it turned on but it stops there, it just says turning on. Manage to fix it by flashing the tweak experimental kernel.
Here's a log of me turning it on and off.

Had the same issue, fixed with the same method
VERY smooth so far, somehow even more so than IceCreamSaga. Just TB-ing away the HTC bloat and I have myself a new daily driver!
Same WiFi issue,tweaked 3.8.6 doesnt help,going to try the experimental one too. Otherwise,very very smooth!

NOTE: WiFi will not work out of the box, because there firmware files and proper modules are missing. But after flashing the kernel it is working fine (I am on B2B for custom Sense 3.6) Do not forget to flash the boot.IMG if you are S-ON/htcdev unlocked
Later edit: since I have never used Sense 3.6 for more than 5 minutes until now I was pleasantly surprised that trace keyboard works in my native language! And the WiFi connection is much more stable than on CM10

FM radio works.
There is no switch to FC in the camera setting, but I guess it should work with a third party app if the port was done right and it seems to me it is. And honestly why do you actually need it?
EDIT: just tested FFC with Pudding Camera and it works, so probably will work with Skype, etc. as well

Too early to tell but there are no massive wakelocks here as they were on CM10 so I guess it is ok. And it seems that if you sacrifice s2w it can be even better. I personally am not
