Okay soo I've finally updated to sense 3.5. Just wanted to get this out as soon as possible considering its been a while since my last update. The Rom is about 250mb zipped and it actually is a lot cleaner than the last version of the ROM. I was able to make this one more stable and take out almost double the widgets. 3.5 adds about 20 useless widgets on top of the old ones. I also worked on getting HTC weather working in this build since a couple of users asked about it.
I HATE the stock weird notification bar/icons so I have themed them to look more AOSP, just like you would find on any other non-sense Android phone. All in all, it really gives the ROM a clean, sense, feel to it. Rom is super stable and will give you more juice than the stock 2.3.5 ROM.

I will update to 2.3.5 soon just waiting for a more stable base, so far it's just based off a chineese leak. and alright cool!

Hell yea this is looking promising, I've been on the prowl for a lighter sense ROM, just not too light. You've removed everything I would have and nothing more. By removing the HTC Facebook app the contacts pictures may not sync so I might miss that but whatev.. I can figure out how to add it back in if needed.
Any issues you know of yet? Either way its downloading as we speak

Facebook app will allow the pics to sync and yea im super stoked about this thanks so much i cant wait to try it.

nice release thank you for your efforts but can you add an apk or flashable zip file for who wants to take back the weather animations.

It's crazy to even think that HTC ships out our phones with over 60 widgets, and random apps that lie there in the background. I've cut down a 400mb STOCK TMOUS ROM to nearly half that size. Unfortunately it will take me forever to create a ROM with the weather stuff built in, it's not as simple as just providing the zip lol. I tried making 20 different versions of the ROM to try to get the weather animations/stock app working with the modified framework to get the AOSP notification bar and other tweaks--it never worked. Instead I made sure to just get the HTC weather clock working since that's a major feature most people want.
If you want I can release an unmodified gingerbread ROM with the same htc things removed. The weather animations would work in this case, but you wouldn't get the AOSP notification bar/some of the other tweaks in the ROM.

i love the fact that the rom has allot of bloat removed, my question Is how much of an Impact does friendstream etc. really have on the phone.
I love the fact that all htc apps tie into each other. IE in people you can see all the recent messages facebook and twitter info. if things are removed will it effect that?
and what about 4g icon and advanced power menu? can they be added pretty please.

There have been ROMS without friendstream in the past, it just wouldn't show up if its not included.
As for the 4g icon I can probably get to that quicker than the advanced power menu. (if the advanced power menu requires additional framework, it would take me a while)
Also people please let me know if I should change to the stock HTC look vs the AOSP kind of notification bar/tweaks.

sorry i know about the roms working fine i am asking because you said it impact the performance of the phone do you have any idea how much i keep a close eye on my phone and have never seen those apps doing anything bad.
with regards to theme i like the aosp could you make it in blue?
and include superuser 3 beta 4

Good idea about the blue, I might do that if I change the launcher style/change the entire theme to a blue rather than the HTC green.
As for the performance.... well friendstream would always be running in the background so I'm sure you would have performance better than not having it. For example people are getting way better battery life/more free RAM with the Senseless Roms on here just because it removes all of the HTC components. Likewise with this ROM, I can say I'm definitely getting better battery life right now though.

Love the Rom completely what I have been waiting for. I would prefer it to stay green but its up to you. I have a bug in the music player where I can't go into settings.
Do you have an apk for stock sense player. I like to be able to control the music from my lockscreen.
This is now my daily driver till miui is perfect. Sorry lol. I got u for now.

This Rom is a combination of many other Roms, themes, and mods from this forum, other forums, and many different phones, as well as my own creations and edits to go with them.
This is an OverClocked and UnderVolted with darchstars kernal set at 710 with free memkiller vUV2 version of Fresh 2.3.3 Hero Rom that has been deodexed and fully themed out.
This is a fully functinal Rom but due to the heavy themeing that I did to it there is bound to be an issue or two. This is my everyday Rom right now and works great and is fast. Any help and feedback would be great. This rom is huge (142 mb) but some of that is the removed apps from fresh that goes onto your sd card and also the a2sd should move some of the apps to your sd card and if u move dalvik cache it should run really fast. I have almost 100 mb of internal memory with this rom.

This version is based off the newest .6 version of the sprint ruu. A full wipe is required to get it to work correctly. Wipe Factory and dalvik and if u get a boot look u will have to wipe external and maybe even repartition.
Also on first boot it may pause completely this is normal and to fix just remove battery and put back then restart phone.
Also on first boot it may restart after it loads up for the first time. This is normal and should start back up no problem.
Fixes to Problems
data might not work on first start up. Either turn off and on the mobile networking or turn off the airplane mode then back on.

you would have to add the HtcLockScreen.apk back into the rom. pull it from any Rom then Push it to /system/app

Hey boss, stellar work once again ... I've actually been on a flashing frenzy for the last few days, trying literally 10 different roms, and yours is the only one that both is stable and has everything I'm looking for. For a beta, so far this thing is dynamite.
Which brings me to a question though ... I cannot seem to access ASOP contacts/phone. I checked all the defaults for People and Phone, and there were none to reset, and theres no separate app listed for Contacts. Do you know how I could access it? I much prefer it over the HTC dialer and contacts interface.

I'm looking into issue as well. Its working for me but i haven't done a full wipe and flash but know once I do it will be gone. I'm not sure if its just because its from the leak build of sprint or if I'm missing something

Give this one a try .
BTW, this issue was indeed the same as contacts, using framework resources for various views. I was able to override the defaults pulled from framework-res, to force the background to black after loading has completed.

Yeah, did the full wipe. Based on what you said, I just nandroided back to DC 2.08.1 and flashed over it. Flawless, everything smooth, no FCs, and ASOP dialer/contacts were back.
In addition, I did notice with my full wipe attempt that the Sense launcher was missing as well (Nexus was the only one available). I don't use Sense for anything (ADW), so I didn't really care, but figured I should mention it.
BTW, figured I should mention that after half-day of use, I'm impressed. I've tried every rom to come out in the last month looking for one with everything I want, and there have been problems with each one. In this one, Facebook contacts sync (Buufed didn't), JIT works with newest DConfig (never got it working with DC 2.09.1), overclock is smooth as butter (had problems flashing the toast kernel over other roms), and wifi-tether doesn't freeze the phone on stopping (something chronically problematic of the aforementioned kernel). Don't know how you did it, but kudos on what is the most stable, most complete, and best looking rom IMO.

Wow! This rom is awesome. Its got the added functionality of sense like the facebook birthdays to calendar, quick dial of contacts, locations, etc without the bloat that comes with the sense ui and the crappy sense widgets.
So far I've got a good feeling about this one. Gonna try it out for a few days and see how it goes. Thanks Pays.

im going to be completely honest , after running through a list of apps that i didnt find useful that had NO effect on the system, i find lots of things that i dont want on this rom
but on must criticize first to give credit where its worth...
THE ROM IS BRILLIANT!!!! just wish the Recovery exploit worked to remove those apps i sooooooooooooooo hate... weather etc. unfortunatly it leaves with a bricked phone (so remove the battery and replace it, switch it back on and voila)

This is just the first version, we can also make it even more lightweight. Just need some feedback which apps you would remove and if in general people want that removed, too, I will do that or try if the system will run well after removing it. Just install ADW. LauncherPro should not hurt you when you select ADW as default?

certainly pay all for a good cause,
in general stability is good however the acore.android service crashes frequently with no task manager installed etc, so maybe take a look into that
things like the widgets for weather etc, various widgets for myself have no use lol, the raw power is good for me

Well.. the HTC hub works some what.. have'nt tested logging on from my computer yet but the setup on the phone completed successfully.

hey pay, after ripping apart your rom, just wanted to say thank you for all of the lil bits, i was able to solve the problem in the end
however can i make a suggestion that sense wallpapers remain along with standard live wallpapers as it would give it that true froyo 2.2 feel
do you still have the APK for live wallpapers etc?? as i cant install it without it crashing #

Without oc buzz kernel (what I use) there are no crashes, so far.
Yes the search apps are not usefull but I will leave Peep. For me its the best twitter client on Android..

I am using this ROM from yesterday and at this time must say that it is AWESOME! No critical issues or crashes. Battery life is good,same as stock Sense ROM, maybe little bit better.
Will be next releases more light-weight (eg. HTC Weather, HTC Music etc. etc.)
Bugs: - Gallery 3D, Messaging and Phone is English only, even if phone language is set to another (eg. Czech)
- In Gallery 3D is impossible to send picture via MMS (Messaging). No picture is added and message will be sent as regular SMS. When I add Picture directly in Messaging app, everything is correct.

Ok guys this rom is something that was in the plan for a long time and its finally done.
This rom is based off of HTC Runnymede 1.05.401.4 with Sense 3.5 and GB 2.3.5. This is the initial release and there will be future updates as needed.
Right now we haven't tested on all the devices, but we confirmed Vivo W, Inspire, and Incredible S are working.

same base... more tweaks, debloater, completely rebuilt ALL apks (with some cleaning and such), odex... which i like much more since it saves u from annoying dalvik cache that is made in deodex roms for system apps, faster (i promise...), diff kernel, diff ram tweaks, diff a lot...
visuals... stock sense 3.5 more or less... so in that part.. its pretty much same.

and i might be moving to t-mobile soon (yes i know inspire is at&t... but we can hack phones by now can't we )
we'll see... maybe htc amaze will be the next phone... who knows... or ill stick with the inspire.

I did flash it seems real nice. But I was running the Kalagas mixed theme on runny 4.0 which I miss. I did try the theme on your Rom being the build was similar but got boot loop. Any chance we can get the Kalagas theme ported for this build ? Or are there any other themes you know of that will work with Mikrunny ? Rom is def nice though nice & snappy !

U know i thought i was in the wrong section when i saw mik, i was lije wait i just updated the evo a couple of days ago lol
To be honest i like the inspire it is faster n smoother than the evo but i miss the front facing cam, i got a mytouch 4g this summer n i get it like i get all my phones, cracked screen n i fix n sell but i fell in love w it, not too big or small but just right n loved the trackpad i miss having a dpad of some sort since the old windows mobile phobes so that was good, my cosin bought it from me n i didnt wana sell it lol but i traded for his inspire (which i got him a few months ago) but anyway in looking for another cheap one now, i sold the evo and inspire on ebay yesterday but they didnt pay yet so as soon as i get the $ im getting a mytouch 4g again. I thought the sensation n amaze were too long and no trackpad. Ill live w Edge on att w the mytouch to be honest i think its worth it. So yeah man ill be using ur rom for sure on either phone lol what sux is that until i get the mytouch o might be stuck w my iphone 4 lol 2 weeks on ebay n i cant sell that crap lol

Just loaded Odex version on inspire 4G. Getting Authorize HTC sense to access Facebook account message but it will not authorize. Keeps asking over and over again.
Rom seems smooth and loads fast. Can't get past this error. Have formatted twice with same results.

Well, Since I have bought my Nexus S I have pretty much disowned my Inspire so I boooted her up today and ventured in here to see what's been going on.
I've been away from the Inspire forum for a few months or so and I stumbled upon this gem!
WOW, I'm pretty speechless about this ROM build it's like I just bought a new phone!
Boot animation was sick, the intro was insane and all of the tweaks to my avail are just mind blowing. Now I don't even know how my call audio or GPS is doing but all I can say is WOW!
Everything else seems to be working great and like I said it's been awhile since I was last here, im sure I need to flash a radio or 2. lol

I have to agree, flashed the v1.0 - DeOdex, Fantastic rom, GPS locks quick, Smooth scrolling, Quadrant score is 1951, my only problem is HTC Facebook for Sense will not Authorize, bummer cause it pops up all the time. Any fix for this? read one in the Desire hd forum but I use this function.

To those having issues w the facebook for htc sense did u try to fix permissions in rom manager or recovery? I passed out before flashing this but ill try it later on as soon as i finish backing up

But unfortunately theres a bug that makes music playback mono in htc music player if any system sound happens: workaround mute those sounds, also you might switch on Vibrate for notification, and enjoy beats music that way.
- If you're having trouble with occasional screen blackouts, please consider trying to revert to a not so much undervolted kernel, and/or try this:
Download Android Terminal Emulator from market. Start it, and type (after rebooting, you must do this everytime.If it helps people with this problem, i'll include it in a new update soon):

- DON'T TRY 1080p or MMS size in Video recording please, it doesnt work, and after it will make exit the Camera app when you try to take picture. If you did, a Reboot will fix it
- If you want 'Unknown sources' to be settable in SystemSettings/Security, you must not have an Exchange account sync added. That's a bug in the htc rom it seems. Remove the account, set the 'Unknown sources' flag, and re-add your exchange account. Or if you are freshly set up, set this option, and add you Exchange acc only after that.

- Rosie is perfectly resized now, no trick needed to Drag&Drop icons/dock/widgets etc. (still you might have to reboot if you can't Edit/Remove widgets/icons on Homescreen! Most of the time it works tho', so don't panic )

- Added AOSP Email/Exchange so people with bad luck (exchange server with encryption requirement) can use that alternatively with this ROM, syncing Contacts/Email/Calendar.. In Settings/Accounts&Sync add Exchange ActiveSync for HTC Email app sync, or use Email (yellow icon account type) account for the AOSP emial/exchange sync if you prefer
- Added HTC_IME correctly sized, along with the ICS AOSP keyboard

I found an odd bit. I entered my corporate exchange e-mail stuff just like always. It had me enter a pin for security like normal. Then it wouldn't let me go on and seems to demand that I encrypt the device. None of my other ROMs do this oddly enough. I flashed back to the AOSP nandroid and no such problem.
Thoughts?
EDIT: When I nandroided back to 1.0.1 and dumped the corporate e-mail acct and tossed the security settings to start that bit over. I was able to configure the corp exchange acct and set the PIN without it demanding encryption. I am confused why Sense is different.

Ics seems,adds encryptability to android, but pyroice can't do that. But check this thread, same problem resolved:

Fun part of lock screen, when I woke up in the morning, it shows the weather, haha, instead of the icons!
I thought its a bug, but seems like it was notifying me of weather. After unlock and a new screen off/on it shows the icons again. Cool feature.

Well, they could. Just tell them that with another rom it will still be unencrypted, so there's really no point to keep that setting.. I know sysadmins are tough to reason with but who knows.

I love darned near everything about this ROM. I wonder if there is a way to disable encryption so Exchange doesn't enforce the policy. It might just be worth letting it encrypt...
Will that screw stuff up for future flashing, backup and nandroid? I have never messed with it before.

It won't work, just like the other user reported. I haven't looked at the encyption at all, I don't know what's missing for it to do an encryption...bins or a special recovery? No idea yet.
Another way could be to hack the part where it asks about that.
Dex2jar with jad and baksmali + smali could help to hack that, if someone would want to try.

First, why a ROM like this? Well, SmartDroid 4ME do mean exactly for me ehehe is my daily driver, I used to create my own ROM since I started developing, but now the result is so much good that I decided to share it with you. Every ROM as its own taste, especially this one. I've chosen to let a lot of sense 4 parts, or better, the parts I like more than others, like weather, new clock Google earth style, dialer, contacts system, mms, etc..why? First of all, because Sense could be invincible in some of its features (like what I mentioned). Second, because Sense 4 is pretty much aosp friendly in terms of look, and also in terms of functionality. So I thought, I'd like to build a ROM with all the coolest sense 4 parts, with AOSP touch here and there, with a new look, and with more clean ups and hacks that I used to put in my ROM's, trying at the same time to give you some new hacks like RAM management and SD card cache increase by default. The result is this ROM, tested by me and some users for a long time, no bugs found (except the Sense4 related ones), pure speed, never fc, reboots, never ever any kinda of malfunction, lot of RAM, unique taste, aosp features when I feel like to put them. HOW TO OBTAIN SHORTCUTS IN SENSE LOCKSCREENShortcuts are rosie related, without this launcher we can't port this feature, but I found a workaround to obtain the shortcuts without installing rosie eheh. The workaround is temporary, it will disappear as soon as you reboot the phone, but it's better than nothing I guess Here's the tutorial:
-download Rosie.apk (link above, please use THAT ROSIE)
-flash it
-reboot the phone
-the system will ask you what launcher you want, chose Rosie (no need to tick it as default launcher, just click on it)
-now, through "personalize" choose the shortcuts you want, with the apk you want, or just put the icons on navbar and as always in Sense they'll appear in lockscreen
-once finished, removed Rosie with a file manager (or whatever you use), choose Apex as default launcher when asked
-that's it, you got the working shortcuts untill you'll reboot the phone

Don't think this is actually AOSP, correct me if i'm wrong but i think that should be removed from the thread title as it is based on a sense 4 ruu just with most sense components stripped.

you're right, infact I explained a lot what this rom is...

I love this rom... is there a rom just like this where all the sense is stripped but the lockscreen and camera on 3.6?? I NEED the wifi hotspot... thats the one thing i need.

first of all compliments for your job and for the innovations that you add to your ROM....this morning I have installed the your new ROM and I want to tell you my first positive and negative impressions (according to my taste)
IN POSITIVE:
- the choice to use Apex louncher;
- removal of all the superfluous apps;
- free space in the memory;
- fluid and reagent without lag (i confess i have changed kernel, currently I find a bit best the last of Faux);
IN NEGATIVE:
- Tweaks not fully fuctional (AOSP lookscreen don't work for me) with few personalizations (not to offense is only my point of view and I hope that there will be future improvements )
- Music Player that is best the player of the sense, or me I have added Music Player Pro that I repute very good
- Windget are few with few possibilities of personalizations suggestion to add HD Windget or similar to create a personal look what it has a good time a lot
In general, to conclude, to be the first release, it is to good levels and I believe that with your constant development and ideas one will become of the best Thanks
