Hi , would you guys share the tips and tricks for this device ?
I just notice one thing on One XL INT version. No matter you are on Edge , UMTS , HSPA or LTE , it will just show D on the signal bar. To change it , try this
*#*#265#*#* and call. Now the icon D will be gone and replaced with respective icon.
In the text messaging app, in a text to someone you can pinch in or out to get bigger or smaller font.

To clear a notification without launching the app that it's associate with, just swipe it across.

Unfortunately that doesn't seem to get rid of the stupid AT&T 4G advertisement in the notification bar on the AT&T version.

Tried the evo 4g toggle widget... said I didn't have 4g. Anyone know one that will work with the nexus s 4g?

Right now the best solution is to install bar control from the market. Select the first 4G option. Now you can just pull down your notification bar, press that and be taken directly to the 4G settings instead of manually going there the normal way. As of now though no actual toggle exists.

You can also get a new Power control bar that adds it and more.

It doesn't really matter whether there was supposed to be one or not, since it transpired that one was not included in the update.

Whenever I am trying to decline a call my One S accepts the call. I then have to press the end button.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
How do you try to decline it? It might be that you're doing it wrongly?
Are you dragging the red icon into the circle? I have not had an issue doing it this way. I will say that I tried to silence a call by pressing down on the volume, and it answered the call instead. That may be a setting somewhere though.
Hmm let me guess..are you dragging the ring up over the red call icon instead of dragging the red call icon DOWN into the ring?
It's ok..when I flashed a sense Rom on my HD2 a while back I kept pulling the ring up to launch shortcutsand couldn't figure out why it wouldn't work !
Ring up for regular unlock, icon down for action.

Only thanked because I find it funny that someone who would buy a One S, and be a member of XDA wouldn't know how to decline a call, even though the phone has tutorials lol

Alright I feel so dumb right now lol.
I had the Sensation before this and it seemed like pulling up the ring towards the red icon always declined it. So i got accustomed of declining calls that way.
Anyways yea pulling down the red icon works fine.
Sorry for the dumb mistake >_<
we wont tell if you wont

Always ran AOSP or CyanogenMod on my HD2, only had a short stint with a Sense rom (not a fan of pre-4.0 sense, too heavy!) and never go through tutorials, I like to figure things out for myself.

Don't know for sure but there's an identical topic in general that says that method doesn't work, that the phone sets back to defaults. Check it again to see if it stuck. Also reboot and check. Are you close to or in a poor lte area where your phone keeps trying to connect? Pretty sure if you aren't in an lte market it shouldn't matter.
Edit: I just tried and I could only change it to 3 of the choices on the list(ones with auto in name)They all had LTE. Anything else just reverts back to the original instantly.
sorry guys , i should of check , i got a question
how come when im on a site and i click to go back to previous site it goes all the way back ? i think this didnt make sense let me make an example
im half way on craigslist list ,i click on an ad ,when im done looking at the ad i want to go back to the list where i left off but instead it goes back to the beginning of the list

Not saying there won't be a reason at some point, but why would you want to turn off lte on this phone at this time?

I install the cleanrom 3.0. There is no att icon on the left top, so Does anybody know how to change it to something else, like the att icon or some pictures?
Thank you
It's not an icon, it's just text indicating what network you are on.

I remember when I can pull down my notification bar halfway and it will show me my notifications. Now I have to pull down all the the way to see my notifications. Anyone know how I can get this back. The second pic shows a notification bar that shows the noti bar halfway. Thanks

install cm10? afaik thats part of sense and you can't change it unless you go to aosp rom.
That was one of my peeves when I switched from the GS II to the One X, too.
I can't find a way to change it on sense based ROMs.

To me this is insignificant... And in my mind I'm thinking really?
You have to pull it a little more than half way down to see it, plus the way HTC has it you actually see more notifications because you see from the bottom up
You can just flick downwards to pull it down quick and flick it back up to get rid of it
Otherwise switch to a aosp Rom, put your touchwiz launcher and enjoy
