Edit the "share" menu - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Anybody know how to remove items from the "share" menu? Besides uninstalling the app, of course.
TIA,
Billy

Editing "Share" option order

So when attempting to "Share" a photo I just took, I have a bunch of options before Messaging, is there any known way of reordering the Share feature? Or to even remove a bunch of the options that I don't think I would use? Picasa, G+, Flickr etc...
I believe the menu is in /etc/customize/default.xml
This is on my to-do list... I'll try to remember to check back in here once I get it fixed.

Perfect. I'm going to try and take a look in there...not that I have any clue what I'm doing.

[REQ][MOD]Remove 3 dot menu for 1.84: long press home for menu, stock recent apps map

Looking to implement this on 1.84; I understand the keyboard layout remappings involved but I'm not sure how to modify policy for the long press home functionality.
So, if anyone could assist me in creating this (I'm a C# dev, but haven't ever tried to do anything on android), or already has it, assistance would be greatly appreciated!

There's a patch in the 3 dot thread already and I've seen a description of the procedure in the linked One X thread

OK...somewhere in the thread is the link to the One X thread documenting long press modifications. It's not just text files like the menu remap, you need to dissassemble modules to make the changes (search for smali/backsmali)

Accessing settings (Player Pro) on HTC One X... How?!

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to access the settings menu for this app. There is no '3 dots' anyway in the app! Any advice from other users?
Try long press recent apps

Thanks, configured my button to open the menu (without configuration, this wouldn't work).

4.2 Playstore

How do you access the settings tab in th playstore in 10.1?in sense you can press the recent apps button on 10.1. I can not figure it out.

You need to map one of your hardware keys to bring up the menu; it's not set up by default. Settings-System-Hardware keys.

Share menu

Lots of apps want to populate your "Share via..." menu and from the reading I've done, Android provides NO way to edit the built-in menu. I did try a 3rd-party app that you could add/remove, shuffle entries, etc but some of the stock Samsung apps use their own share menu (mainly, Gallery) and I didn't like the inconsistency.
Of course, one way to remove items from the menu is to remove the app itself ! That leads me to my question.....
Why are apps that are NOT installed showing up in my "Share via..." menu ?? I have Picassa and Backup+ Media in the list but the apps are not installed. I suspect there's some non-obvious app-helper that's putting these here that I missed when de-bloating.

It has to do with it being coded into the package installer. There should be a mediauploader.apk that registered Picasa to be available for uploading. If you delete or freeze it, it might go away. I'm not exactly sure what would happen, but I know that's where it's located.

mediauploader.apk ? It is only for Picassa ?
Edit: Moved it and that took care of Picassa. Now to find the Backup+ helper app...

You're on your own on that one, I have no idea where that is.
