Can Cm9 Dsp Manager be installed? - Transformer TF300T Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it possible to get cm9 dsp manager working on this tablet? I remember trying to get on my incredible running evervolv but found out you had to put some libs in certain places. By the time I was going to do it Drk.hd came out with a cm9 ROM so it didn't matter.
If possible it would be nice to know what to put where, as I'm currently at work. However a simple yes or no answer will suffice.
I am no developer but I'm trying to figure out what things we can do to this tablet without having CWM. Amy help is appreciated!

[Q] Need help with Skyraider and camera

Hello! I am fairly new to the android scene (to rooting/using roms that is) and well, I recently installed the Skyraider ROM and well, I quite love it (3.0 Vanilla RC3) and well, everything... is absolutely perfect... except the camera.
Now, I have done extensive searching and reading and well, supposedly there is a "koush's kernel" that fixes the camera issue...
My question is.. where can I find this "kernel?" I have spent hours searching online and well, I found a couple of files but none that actually worked.
Supposedly the fix is in ROM Manager, but under "koush" there is only a "test" kernel, which needless to say did not work at all and forced me to do a clockworkmod nand restore.
I looked on the CyanogenMod 6 that the camera works perfectly, and the kernel version is 2.6.32.15-ga81a44fkoush koushik-OSx86 #4, so I partly assume that would be the kernel I need to install, but I can't find it anywhere. The "test" one in ROM Manager is named similarly, except "...dirtykoush koushik-OSx86 #6"
Tried it... didn't work, at all.
Everywhere I look says that the fix is on ROM Manager, but unless I have missed something, it is not there...
Some help on this would be greatly greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!

[Q] Can someone walk me through the steps on how to install CM7 on my Huawei Ascend?

Hello XDA fourm people! First of all, I want to say thank you to all the devs out there working hard to get us nice things on our phones
I am a noobie at flashing custom roms so I need a bit of help. I have a cricket Huawei Ascend running 2.1 update 1. I recently read about the CM7 rom that has been succesfully ported over to the ascend but I have no idea where to even start. My phone IS rooted using z4root, but i really want to install CM7.
I know you have to do a nandroid back up and then used clockwork mod? I have somewhat of an idea of what these things do, but I dont know how to use them or where to get them. Any help would be appreciated.
Lol and I know that some of you are looking at this rolling your eyes, but I'm just new and trying to get the hang of it.

They make it where almost anyone can do this so if you have further questions feel free to ask as I have been bricking my phone and reflashing it back to normal since I bought it lol...also you might look into getting multiple custom ROMS at that same site as one is not really better than the other so you'll want to check out all of em at some point
Myself I have flashed Icarus 1.1 and CM7-Ascend-04052011 (also flashed the nightly release of this but just for a recovery reason which failed) I would suggest Icarus 1.1 if you want an extremely stable ROM that runs off the current system you have on your phone. CM7 is still a little unstable but I run it as an everyday driver because it uses 2.3.3 gingerbread and it also allows for system overclocking to 710mhz without the use of third party apps. Like I said though, test drive them all and have fun with it. Just make sure you make a factory back up and a back up directly after each launch of flashing just in case something does go wrong you can also go back to the bulky OS your running now ;-)

Thank you! I followed a thread that showed me how to flash CM7. It is buggy and unstable, but I love it! I've wanted to flash Icarus too, but i think Im going to play around with CM7 for a bit and see how it works out.

New here, E4GT Need some help

Hey guys, ok so I am coming from two HTC Heros (CMDA Sprint)
Was running cyanogenmod on both (me and the wife) loved it.
Now that I have the E4GT, I went ahead last week and used ODIN to install LoStKernel.
Now it did give me root and I have used apps like rom toolbox and setcpu.
My main problem is it seems these samsung devices are a lot trickier to tinker with.
Basically I am looking to get Clockworkmod so I can flash roms and make nandroid backups.
From what I have read, I need a kernel that supports and/or has CWM in it.
I tried flashing CWM with rom manager, and it installed - but I have no option to backup/restore I can only flash a zip or clear cache.
There are SO MANY things posted in the development section and I do not know which kernels are the latest, best etc.
I need:
a) CWM/busybox
b) overclocking support
c) FULL stock functionality (no loss of wifi or something stupid like that)
From what I am understanding the kernel is included with a rom. But I can't flash a rom without CWM. So I am rooted but stuck with stock rom and it's kernel.
Confused, lol!
Can someone point me to a proper thread to get me CWM and a well supported ROM to install? Can I get CWM working fully on the stock kernel/rom?
If someone can point me to the right direction, maybe I can find a developer to donate to lol!
No love?
At this point I'm just trying to get cwm. Seems I may have already had it just didn't know it came with lostkernel and now I botched it using rom manager.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA App
You can actually flash a new kernel with CWM in odin
Thats the easiest method
There are several, as for the best I dont know yet
Im still tinkering with my setup
I guess that's my main issue - I can't find one that has CWM, everything I am seeing is a ROM that needs CWM to install.
If I had CWM I'd be all set because then I can backup my setup and try new things without worry, but I don't want to use ODIN to try a kernel that CWM won't take, or isn't there, and then lose what I have ya know?
All set, seems I flashed a kernel that wasn't what it was supposed to be. I apparently flashed his earlier version (pre-LoStKernel) that did not have CWM5 it it.
Just used ODIN last night to drop in LoStKernel and kept root, but also have CWM5 now. After clearing my SD Card, made my first backup. 1.5GB, jesus! lol. Nearly my whole SD card... yes, it's from my old Hero, so, time to get a 32GB.

[Q] NFC error?

Whenever I tap on it to turn it on it will say connection error, or something of that sort. It worked fine on stock before I rooted it and went to a custom rom. I restored the stock rom and went back to it.. and now it stopped working?
What should I do?
Does anyone have any input?
could be the rom. are you trying to use wallet?
Some roms its buggy and some it works, from what ive gathered its a kernel thing and what you will have to do is play with kernel/rom combos until you get a working one.
besides wallet what would you use it for?

Want to know what's pathetic? It doesn't work on STOCK 2.3.6.... STOCK. But it works on bugless beast (ics 4.0.3).
& I use it for Android Beam..

[Q] ICS Rom recommendations.

Hi
Bored of waiting for HTC to get the update out to me, so I've s-off'ed, installed Clockwork recovery. Also rooted it.
What I would like is an ICS rom that works. It must be fast, so JIT enabled (there is at least one where JIT doesn't work), I am not bothered one way or the other about sense. It doesn't seem to make much difference these days, there are apps that do everything it does. I use the camera, photos and film, wifi, phone, bluetooth, 3g, market, SD card, so all those things have to work. I'm a relative noob when it comes to installing roms, so something simple to install would be great
Can anyone suggest roms that meet those requirements, it's hard to tell from a 100+ page post on the forums here which bits do and don't work without spending hours trawling through them all.
Thanks
Endolf
I'm using Insert Coin and would recommend it as a first ICS rom. It uses aroma installer so you have your choice of several different options during install and won't need to flash anything extra other than the rom. I'd stay away from sense 4 roms as they still aren't perfected yet.
I'm assuming you've read the firmware update thread and that you know you need the newest firmware before trying to flash an ICS rom?
Are you looking for aosp or sense?
ICSensation 4G
Hi, didn't know I needed a firmware update, I'll have a hunt for the thread, thanks.
Endolf
Hi
Not fussed between AOSP or Sense, as long as it all works, everything sense can do can be got elsewhere.
Thanks
Endolf
I've been using HyperNonsense for about 2 weeks now and I absolutely love it. It's smooth, fast, and stable. And it's very lean. It's whole purpose is to be not much more than an operating system ready for you to customize it with the apps you want. Just about everything is removed from it (SMS, camera, calculator, etc) so you can put only the things you want on it later. This sounds like ti's up your alley. It's technically Sense, but there's no sense elements left in the UI.
Before that I was using Android Revolution HD. It's also very stable. You have the option of running it with or without Sense. (There's an extraction flashable zip that pulls most of the Sense components out of the ROM after you install it). This one comes a little more 'fully loaded' and is basically the stock ICS release with several tweaks to the code.
To use either of these ROM's properly though you need to ditch ClockworkMod Recovery and switch to 4EXT. (It's downlaodable from the market and will flash itself as your new recovery image. You won't need to push anything with ADB or anything from your computer) 4EXT allows you to make choices during the installations of ROMs. Many of the new ROMS require that.
I have been very happy with the new ARHD 6.6.3 version and using ROM Cleaner to get rid of the bloatware up front.
