There's one?
I'm shocked!!!
Oh wait it's a android rom with a wp7 look...
No one in they're perfect mind wants wp7 on a nexus device...
No, thank god! That would be the worst red headed step child ever!! A first party Google phone with win-blows firmware.....why not ask for iOS too? lol
Btw, WP7 is closed source, so no matter what it will NEVER happen!

Every time someone asks for wp7 on android hardware 4 dolphins and 14 kittens die.
Just give your hardware to someone who cares...

Hello,
I have no development experience so I'd like to make a request. I have a keyboard APK that's apparently designed to work with Froyo but I'd like to use it on my Nexus S. It's a WP7 style keyboard. I will attach it and request that anyone who knows how please try and make it work with 2.3.4 on the I9020T.
Thanks to anyone that helps me out, I really appreciate it.
+1 I'd love this

I think you guys are in the wrong section. This section is for the sprint CDMA Nexus but I don't think a keyboard mod would matter. Just see the I9020T in the title.

okay? cool. i quoted the op
This amazes me. I've got basic development skill and would never just blindly "ask" for stuff. "Hey nerds! Make me this." (I'm a nerd myself, calm down). I'm at the whim of the developers and can't thank you guys enough for what you do. Off topic. Had to be said though.
Try it yourself dood, then ask for help. That's what these forums are for. Ill beta test anything till the cows come home.

To port or make a rom of honeycomb ....... I really love the ui and well ics doesn't seems to good for now ..... but yeah ..... can it be done ?
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA App
Pretty damn hard, considering we dont have source code. And its for tablets only.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
It's possible if a dev wanted to take the time to port it but seeing as to how Google might not release the source for it then the necessities like data, wifi, and etc wouldn't work unless you build your own from scratch which takes a long time.
Wow. Okay. Imagine moving mount Everest one stone at a time to sour America blind folded. Then learn how to develop android roms and port it yourself before you act like it should be easy. Oh and remember our Devs do this for free so also stop thinking your entitled to their work. Finally destroy your phone and computer so what Devs remain won't decide were not worth their time and just stop wasting their precious free time working to help ingrates like you.

There was already such a ROM in the works, but honeycomb is really not meant for phones. I don't have the link on hand, but just search through the development section and you'll see it. No updates since July though

Way to troll. He never said or forced any devs to make a rom just asked how hard it would be. Theres a pretty big difference.
I answered his queston; its harder than you could imagine. It's not trolling. If you don't like my tone then either don't ask stupid questions that make Devs sound lazy or ignore me. I'd prefer the one that keeps Devs happy since I for one really appreciate their time and effort.

There is a difference between asking how hard it would be and making a thread with a title how hard COULD it be.
You ask the question how hard could it be about anything and you're putting all the people down that could do it or have attempted to do it.
Simple example how hard could it be to run a 4 minute mile. Somebody that can will tell you to **** off. Somebody who tried but could not...**** off.
Op deserves to get flamed for the title of thread. If you really meant how hard would it be instead of could it be then you would understand why people will take issue with it.
It can be done

How long before users will be able to flash a ICS custom rom? Im assuming before its officially released for the nexus s? am i wrong here? because i had gingerbread on my evo far before sprint released it. Im hoping its the same case for ICS and my nexus s 4g.
Most Likely Yes, but plz post in the RIGHT section.
I would imagine to see some ICS themes soon... I downloaded the ICS System Dump and looked around for quite some time... Changes are minor to most, some new stuff here and there icon speaking... There are a few new additional pngs (images) we didn't have before.
Probably the biggest headache I see is since ICS's theory is to combine tablets and phones into one OS there are in some APKs up to a dozen different folders now to support all the diffferent screen sizes and formats so themers are gonna be going nuts doing "complete" themes across the board..
It should be fun

oh sorry. i just thought this was the only NS4G forum on xda. The others all say nexus s. The NS4G doesnt have its own seperate forum, otherwise i would have posted it in the Q&A.
Notice your phone starts with the word Nexus S..... So based on that fact, I would say it would be proper to post in the Nexus S Question and Answer Thread. Also, this topic has been and will continue to be asked daily until it is actually released.

Guys, honestly you have to stop making threads asking ETA's for ROM's and such. If there was a ROM in the works, a dev would post about it and let us know. You have to be patient

usually, developers start making custom roms when google drops the source into aosp. and google already said that they arent doing that until the first ICS phone(galaxy nexus) gets released in november.

Someone could make a SDK port however. Not much would work though without source.

I'm curious if it will be possible to install the Windows 8 preview on the Xoom:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/consumer-preview
I'd love to test this, but I have no clue how to start. If any devs out there want a guinea pig for this, please let me know how I can help!
First off, wrong section. This has absolutely nothing to do with active development.
Secondly, if you want to start making drivers for all the hardware windows 8 will need to run correctly, then best of luck to you.
Otherwise, I don't see this happening at all, ever.

My mistake. I thought this was the Xoom Android Development section, and adding Windows 8 to the Xoom would fall under development.
no reason to be stinky.
Unless you were about to actively port this over to the Xoom, then it would fall under Development. You asked a question so it should fall within the Q&A section.

Even if someone did pull this off, you wouldn't find it on XDA due to licensing issues.

Nowhere because I highly doubt anyone is attempting this. Just keep an eye out on the technology news sites, because if someone does get it working they will possibly post an article and how-to.

I'm not sure if you're trolling or not...
You have a Nexus 5, so why not simply use that as it is 100 times better than any iPhone?
XDA is not a Crapple development site, so why would you want to read it on an iPhone?
TapaTalk is available on iOS so just use that if you really must use an iPhone.
