Just bought my new Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 wifi last week from Sam's Club. Seems that they were selling them before the official release date. But of course the downside on getting it so early is that I'll have to wait for a rooting solution. I see posts on rooting the 7", would this also work on the 10.1?

In case you haven't already found the answer to your question, today I posted the good news as [How to] Root Tab 2 10.1 in the Development Section after I tried the 7 inch solution and it works perfectly.
Glenn
Yes and thank you! Following your directions I rooted without any problems.

Hello,
i am new in the forum and not very good with english, and i am sorry if you have already answer this question but will ask anyway..
I would like to ask if it is possible to dual boot (stock rom and cyanogen mod) with samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 p5110.
Android does not allow dual boot. But it could, in the future years...

I was wondering about this myself if it was possible. I've seen dual kernels come up as search results, but wasn't sure if that was the same. I've also looked it up via Google and it seems it's been done with the Tab 2 7.0 only as of today.

Would be really awesome if the 10.1 could also dual boot with separate ROMS. :fingers-crossed:

I am brand new to Android. I just bought a Galaxy Note Tablet 10.1 but it's the GT-N8010 model. I would prefer to have the US version GT-N8013 because it seems that there are a few apps / functions are not available in N8010 model.
I've seen several threads about flashing for phones but not for the Note Tablet 10.1. And I can't find anything about how to actually get started from the very beginning. I've always had Apple products so even the terms flashing and rooting are new to me. I need bare bones basic instructions on how to root my note tablet. I bought the ODIN app and it won't let me use it until I rooted and that I needed to be a superuser? I'm so confused... /:
Can someone please help me? What apps do I need and what's the actual process? I appreciate any help anyone could give me.
Thanks!

I used this thread that's sticked in the note Q&A to root my tablet. I actually did it yesterday after getting the german jb 4.1.2. I wanted to use the multiwindow app, so I had to root. I am new to this as well, but that thread got me through the process flawlessly. =) I used the pc version of Odin to do mine though.

Sweet! Thanks. I'm now rooted! On to the next step!
I'm looking for a way to get CM 10.1 on an SCH-i705 (Tab 2, 7" from Verizon). I haven't bought the device yet but I don't want to stop using CM 10.1 which I use on my WiFi only model. Any way to do this? I can't find instructions on it anywhere. Oh, I wouldn't want to loose LTE support in the process. Having to deal with TouchWiz or loosing 4G to get CM 10.1 would both be non-starters.
Thanks in advance for the help.

My guess would be never since it's a low end device which was announced in July 2012 (at least according to GSMarena). Try finding a JB ROM for your phone if you're desperate for an update (which shouldn't be too hard at all, seeing as you're on XDA).

Doesn't matter chances are you won't get it. Unless you've read a previous announcement about it your device will most likely not live to see the day it gets JB

Search for Cyanogen Mod for galaxy S duos .
It will help
I think samsung will not give like galaxy s1 ICS we are waiting for it long time but didn't give only gingerbread till now, the only way is custom rom

Pff, their main Tablet hasn't even gotten JB yet outside of a select few. Let alone a low end phone. Samsung is notorious for terrible support to devices older than half a year.
Probably never
The price of S Duos has been going down steadily. Currently, it costs Rs. 9699 on flipkart. Samsung probably wont spent anymore on upgrading a low end device.
Does anyone know if there is either a Lollipop or Marshmallow update for the tablet? I have been looking for the last few days and either this tablet isn't listed, or they want you to jump through looking at a bunch of ads to get access. All I want to do is upgrade from the 4.1.2 that AT&T thinks is good enough.
Thanks for any help.
This might not be the correct thread for your device. This thread is for P3100, P5100, and all its variants.

to answer OP question: there is no custom rom for your device available, i think.
