I just tested today my MHL adapter from monoprice (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10833&cs_id=1083314&p_id=8805&seq=1&format=2) and it works just fine.
It actually mirrors the phone screen all times but I could not change this behavior.

Sweet! I really dig monoprice... they did me good on hdmi cables.
I was curious to know if your touch inputs on the phone transfer over to the TV set as well. Like a circle appearing where your fingers are touching the screen.
kind of a stupid question but does this remove the phone charging abilities?

no. there is a micro usb port on the side of the adapter for charging.
In fact, you must have it charging to work.

I bought the monoprice one and, while it has a charging port, it doesn't require the charging cord to be plugged in in order to work... It just won't charge the phone at the same time if it's not plugged in.

I have not seen ir mentioned, but just thought I'd mention the Bizlink at MobileFun works with the Sensation. They've had stock and more arriving Monday.
As far as I can see the official one is still not out.
I don't know about European availabilty. I bought one from Tmobile here in the states for $25. plus. Still have not tried it, but they were in stock and it actually arrived very quickly.
All the adapters, regardless of manufacturer should work, thats part of the whole point of MHL - its a standard connection type. My prototype MHL adapter, and my Samsung MHL adapter both also work with the Sensation.
I got my MHL adapter today from Tmobile.
Doesn't seem to work. Tried connecting power adapter to the MHL adapter as well. HDMI input does not even recognize. Tried on TV and Pico projector.
Will return for an exchange. Hopefully a bad piece.

Buy a car charger. The computer in your car is incompatible. Much like radios having iPod support. But yours doesn't have android support. You can eliminate the wires which are not needed for charging, but that's risky in its self.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
You have two options. The first is to just get a car charger. The other is to enable UMS mode. Doing that would allow your camaro to read the phone as a regular USB thumb drive. I'm not sure if it would work for the internal SD card alone though, but it would definitely solve your problem if you had an external card in there (you could even put music on the card and play that through your car).

Since cables have molded plugs, you cannot mod them easily. There are two USB cables available that come wired to prevent the phone from getting a data signal on the cable. This would keep both the radio and the phone from sensing each other. There is a problem however. Charging from a USB port most new phones limit their current draw because USB can only supply 500 milliamps (1/2 Amp). When an AC charger is used the phone draws more current and charges significantly faster. Fooling the radio's connection to the phone could result in damage to the USB port.
The use for these cables is to fool the phone when plugged into 12 volt car chargers that have USB connections. Most of these chargers are detected as a USB connection by the phone, and the phone refuses to draw more current. You can see whether the phone thinks it is charging from USB or AC in the settings menu or with many battery widgets.
Amazon has two modded cables one a "Naztech" and the other from PureGear.

I understand the Nexus 4 uses this chip, and the datasheet is here.
So, the receiver is about 90% efficient when charging. I am not sure, but as this is a charge controller too I think that quoted efficiency from page 12 is for the DC provided to the battery. This is quite good as obviously a non-wireless charge controller phone would have some losses when charging a battery.
I presume that by AC they mean from the wireless antenna rather than mains, so you would have to include the waste in the plug/transmitter too.
Edit: It looks like most of the losses are in the transmission, as the efficiency there is much lower. In that datasheet it suggests more like 72-74% maximum, which is about right if the manufacturers quote 70%.
Check this one out guys. Looks quite nice and seems to have a rubbery surface to prevent the phone from slipping.

Notice how the phone loses charge while being charged.
If disconnected it remains in its last percentage indefinitely (until the battery really empties)
If rebooted, it shows 100% charged.
Even the 4ext recovery shows the battery is full, at all times.
The battery works. It lasts half a day with heavy user.
But in get stuck without a phone sometimes, but knowing when to charge.
Tried rebooting, clearing battery state, charging while off, charging while on, switching ROMs, kernels.
Any suggestions, beside getting a new battery?

EBay's littered with replacement batteries: of the same capacity, or larger. Even some that need a bigger back case.

IMO it's not battery but the problem in adaptor
As my friend had Samsung note 1 and he used to get same problem(decrease in battery percentage while charging)
He switched his adaptor and problem solved , you could try that , how old is your phone?
Jumping battery percentage is normal for HTC phones ever1 gets it
Hit thanks button if you find me helpful

I would've thought the same if I hadn't tested it on every adapter I have: namely 4 AC adapters, 2 USB chargers, and one car charger.

Maybe the battery connections are not ok, just put a piece of paper between battery and cover.
