One of the things that I really like about cm7 is the ability to use the volume rocker to skip tracks when the screen is asleep. Is this a CM thing or is there a setting Im missing to enable that in other ROM's?
CM thing.
IDK if you are looking for maybe an app to tide you over, but PlayerPro has that option when you use the lock screen widget. Good luck!
AOKP has that feature also, and many many others

Is there anything out there that do the following?
Lower ringer volume when you pick up the phone.
Silence the ringer if you turn the phone face down.
I really like these features and would somehow like to impliment them with a CM7 install.
Thanks in advance.
Me too I want this also

Currently pressing button on my headphones will pause music with one click and I may resume music with another. With a double click I get the voice dial feature.... In cm7 a double click skips to the next track. Is there a way to change the behavior in sense roms? Thanks.
Ps is is they a cm7 music player compatible with sense ?

That's weird. Double click to skip tracks is the official mobile standard supported on most smartphones. The sense voice command override must be some custom thing they added instead.

I'm not sure on cm7, but I am running GingerBeast and if I hold the up or down volume button it skips ahead or back.
I know thats not really what you are looking for, but it may help.
I have a stock ROM.
When changing volume level with the button on the right-side of the phone, it always makes a sound (probably to demonstrate a new volume level). Also, when I turn it on, the phone produces annoying sound as well.
Is there a way to turn both these sounds off?
Thanks in advance!
I was bored one day last week. And as a musician knowing the tones are do-ray-me.. if your fast enough could always do the song from Sound of Music and woo a fancy girl.
Just a thought.

Not sure about using Xposed on your custom ROM. For stock Android, GravityBox and Wanam Xposed allow you to turn the volume preview tones off.

If you're adjusting the media volume in settings then yes.

It was a glitch. Restart solve the problem. Was kinda weird because when was opening volume control level adjustments it started playing music for some reason and the only way to stop it was to go back or touch media level control

known bug?
Another thing that i personally hate. Just updated to the stock ICS from CM. The home button is mapped wierd. Dosen't return to the launcher like its supposed to instead opens an app with the weather, time, and a few apps. Can this be changed and is this a feature or a bad flash on my end?
Now the home button seems to work fine. Not sure what the issue was...
Hi guys,
This is just driving me bananas. I want the volume rocker on my S3 (w/ cmod10.1) to control both the ringer and media volumes at the same time. There are a variety of circumstances in my life where it would tremendously helpful to simply have the rocker control everything. Is there an app or something out there that can do that?
Thanks again

with widgetsoid you can make a widget that allows you to get control of ring/media/notification/etc in a tap
