If you're adjusting the media volume in settings then yes.

It was a glitch. Restart solve the problem. Was kinda weird because when was opening volume control level adjustments it started playing music for some reason and the only way to stop it was to go back or touch media level control

known bug?
Another thing that i personally hate. Just updated to the stock ICS from CM. The home button is mapped wierd. Dosen't return to the launcher like its supposed to instead opens an app with the weather, time, and a few apps. Can this be changed and is this a feature or a bad flash on my end?
Now the home button seems to work fine. Not sure what the issue was...

I'm using Handcent for ny messaging because I prefer it to the stock app, but anyway, whenever I lower the ringer volume, the volume of my text tone doesn't change. Is it that way with the stock app or is it Handcent or am I just doing something wrong? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but on my MotoDroid the ringer volume controlled everything.
you need to install audio manager. this seperates the audio channel so you can control the volume of each independently. fyi your issue is common among android phones, always been that way and its kinda stupid...enjoy.
From he homescreen hit menu, settings, sound, volume, then check off the check towards the bottom.

i don't think you have any idea what he actually asked lol...
I dont know if any1 is having this issue but my G2x goes completely mute at time like no sound from anywere AT ALLL
I have to restart the phone for it to get sound back
this happens on any Rom I try
are you trying to find a ringtone to use by listening to them one by one and so on? That and using some apps will cause the phone to pretty much mute itself... one app i know of is "torch"
nope none of those torch is the flashight app-the flashlight i use is the one that comes on the notification widget on cm7
don't have any ideas then I tried.
I get the same problem also. Though I think it only happened when I used bionix rom

From my experiences thus far. Regardless of which Torchlight you use (And the one on the CM7 uses the torchlight app.) It will kill your audio. I only used it from the notification bar, and it indeed kills my audio just about every time.
Is there a way to add long-pressing on the headphone button (i have only 1 button on mine) to skip the track in the google music app (ICS), similar to MIUI Music.
I'm not interested in the Volume Skip MOD.
Did you try double or triple clicking?

Yes of course, the "pause" function gets called "on-press", not "on-release".
So your not using the ones supplied with the device? Which headphones you using?
What about a button remapper app?
I lost my original headphones. Now i have a generic headset with 1 button on it. It works with MIUI Music: 1 press to pause, 1 longpress to skip to the next track and some other combination to skip to the previous. I want this functionality with Google Music.
I saw you post in the ICS thread, I don't think hardware music control is working yet as the volume skip track isn't working for me. Always need to use touchscreen controls.

I am playing mp3s from SD card through the google music app (not streaming disabled) and the music will stop after each song. As soon as I hit the power button the next song will begin.
It really bothers the hell out of me. Any ideas? It is bone stock rom.

Have you updated the app? it went away after the app update
Nope. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, same effect.
I install power amp and it seems to be working.
Do you have juice defender or another batter saving app?
I have the same problem, but for me ots just sometimes. But it does bug me, having to hit next after the each songs.

I gave up on the google music widget. I just use power amp. It works 100%.
I am not using any battery saving programs. Bone stock.
I have the same problem with Amazon MP3. The stock player works fine and just downloaded Poweramp to try that one.

I was having the same problem too then realized that shuffle was turned on by default and causes that for some reason. As soon as I turned shuffle off it played all tracks like it's supposed to.

Wow that sucks but good to know. I always use shuffle. I will have to try it without shuffle.
I've been diggin on Poweramp anyway and that works great on shuffle.

Yeah it sucks. I don't use shuffle. I was really annoyed with it not playing the next track especially since I was listening to it in the car. When I looked through everything on the app I realized that shuffle was on even though I didn't select it, turned it off and everything went back to normal.

Sorry for my eng.
I don't like the audio manager on GB stock Rom. There are some cook Roms with an interesting Audio Manager which we can adjust alarm volume, system volume and media volume at the same time. I mean that we don't have to go Setting to adjust one by one.
How can I get it? I'm using Gingersnap and I don't want to flash a new Rom.
Thank you so much.
Here use this i had used a long time ago its the best audio manager with widgets
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.smartandroidapps.audiowidget
I hope this helps you

Thank you so much. But I wonder if I can control this app with volume key? Do I have to press home key and change the volume?
This app is just an app that lets you control the volume of apps on home screen with widget and in the app
