Anyone having issues with the text messaging font size not being consistent? Every so often it goes from med to small then back again. This is in a text conversation.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Yeah, actually I have noticed that. Mine was small this morning and then I had taken a screenshot and the phone froze and rebooted and when it came back up it was the med again and then later on it went back to smaller.

Wow, funny I just noticed this too, thought my eyes were going out.
Mine is doing the same thing!
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Yes it keep changing size, I think it depends how long the lady text was, if it long or short but not sure, but you could always zoom out and make the font to the smallest
I thought I was seeing things as I was having the same thing going on. I just switched to Go SMS app. Lets me choose the max MMS size and keep original resolution which was why I wanted to switch in the first place.
There are several threads about people having problems with the SMS app randomly changing text size. However remember that just posting about it here isn't going to fix anything. We all have to make sure to contact HTC so they know it is a problem affecting a lot of people and get it fixed.

handcent - i have mms set to 1.2mb and i've had it set to 1mb, when i get a pic someone sends me in a text, its just a tiny thumbnail, once i click the thumbnail..it does not open full screen, crips and clear. I just goes to a black background, with the thumbnail in the milddle.
Stock messaging app - all i see is a bar that says "slide show" once clicked, the pic opens up 90% full screen, and you can tell it is very distorted and not crisp and clear. Its almost as if the thumbnail was "blown up" to fit the screen. But at least the stock app makes an attempt to open fullscreen.
when i long press to save a pic that is sent to me, it saves just a thumbnail. and even when i open it on the phone from its saved location, it doesn't save the proper size. its still a thumbnail
I've tried using chomp, handcent and the stock app. I've also reset all data settings, and even wiped my phone. nothing has fixed the issue. so it can't possibly be my phone's fault. it has to be t-mobiles fault.
Well ive noticed this as well. I sent a picture of myself to one of my friends and then they sent in back.
The pic looks normal size in Go sms

I like the color/theme part about Handcent. MT4G's have black notification bars, and the fact handcent can be black just makes it more appealing to me. If the mms worked right, all would be golden.
Check your settings again in the stock app and handcent. Like I've said, all the pics sent to me are great.
If the pic youre getting is small or tiny, it may be because the sender had their pic resolution reduced by them or their system to be able send as sms. I know when I try to send some pics from MyT4G...it says some are too large and to resize them.

Not true, my wife sent me a pic. It was like a stretched preview image. When I got home I looked under mms on her nexus one and the image was fine. Both of us using the phones stock messenger.

OK, got some pics and a video here! Should see what I was talking about.
http://youtu.be/3-UUMtQ9vdE
When you receive a notification, say an email, it shows a line in the notification drop down list. Press the line will open particular app. This is we all know.
But, have you noticed something like this? When press the notification line, don't release you finger but keep pressing it, sometimes, not often but did happen to me a few times, the font of the notification line became blurred and hard to read, unlike the normal case, it should be slightly smaller than the unpressed notification to indicate it's being pressed.
It's really hard to notice I know, since we just press it quickly and another app is opened right away. And, I tried to reproduce this but failed. So it just happens quite randomly or in a very certain circumstances.
Have you ever noticed this guys? Or can you try the same, press but not release when new notification comes in the future to see if it's just my phone?
Cheers!

Just tried on a couple of different notifications. Held them for about 10 seconds with nothing other then the text getting smaller when initially selected.

Yes, this doesn't happen to me very often, I haven't figured out in what circumstances this would more likely to happen but maybe when battery is low, say about 15% or less. Could you and others just be mindful when clicking notification that will just be enough.
Cheers.

Same here. I'll get notifications fine all day, then I'll get three texts from one person without a single notification. It doesn't matter if the Messaging app is loaded or not or has focus or not.
It is on, its just with a few messages here and there

I have this same issue.
Its an issue that hopefully will get fixed with an update. It has happened to me a bunch of times.
ditto that, hopefully with the next software update will fix it. But, at the same time some people having issue with the update (1.85) that should rolling out today by ATT experience dropping calls and less reception. Personally i prefer late notification than drop calls. Dont you think?
Agreed

I had all notifications to vibrate in the SOUNDS menu but SMS still didn't vibrate. Didn't think to look under the menu under the SMS screens. Thank You!
I have noticed that my volume has been dropping every once and while... this is a new issue so I am not sure why... my phone is completely stock... should I warranty it out?
If everything is stock then yeah, try looking into the warranty.
Iam having the same problem with mine ever since I updated mine. It seems like out of know where the volume will just drop for my ringer and the messaging tone. The only thing I can do to get it back to normal is to restart my phone. This actually happens a couple times a day.
Help Please!

I emailed HTC phone repair department but no response as of yet. Since my One X is over its 30 days with At&t I guess this is my only option.
Sent from my HTC One X using XDA
Well after several emails between HTC warranty and being on the phone with them, they would not send me a new One X due to the problems with the volume and text message sizes being software issues. So I figuered I would give ole At&t a try and after being on the phone for about 1 1/2 I got them to send me a replacement One X. I got it and so for so good. I'm not having any of the problems I was before. As I said above the HTC person (DANTY) did happen to say they are working on another release for the text message size always getting getting smaller & also the volume problem. Who knows maybe Gellybean??
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Well the new One X has the same problems as the old. The volume goes really low were you can't hear it and the text size get small as previous unit.

I've been having the same issue with the volume on my One X. Hoping a software update will fix this problem.

I started a thread for the same problem. Obviously if we all are having problems with the volume, it must be a software issue. I did not want to take a chance of a replacement and have more issues other than volume. I will wait and see. In the mean time a restart fixes it..

Like the title says. The font size randomly changes in my messaging app. I know I can change it with pinching. But ill fix it, lock my screen, go back in, and its different again
