I am new to Magic/Sapphire. I only got mine today but have had a G1 for 5months.
Is it possible to do Apps2sd on any of these roms?- i have rooted it and am running Skittle's ion port for 32A. Can the roms be setup to run aps2sd the same way Cyanogen's rom does or do we have to do it old skool with symlinks?
I haven't seen any posts on this so thought i would put it out there...is it really necessary is my next question- do we have enough memory as it is?
We have bigger ROM on Magic, so no need to make app install on SD to reduce performance and usable life of your SD card
I am lloking for a ROM that has apps to SD but NOT a hero rom, I only have a 32B sapphire so Hero is really slow.
Im using cyanogen 3.6.8 (i think) but it wont install apps to my sd card, I have Rooted and partitioned my card although it says

Try to use the hero 32b port with compcache. You can disable the rosie gui if it is not fast enough for you

He ain't lyin', the 2.7.3 Hero ROM with compcache runs really well on the 32B magic, even with widgets aplenty.
thanks for the rwplies.i have tried that hero port but still found it way to slow.always end up going back to cyanogen mod,all I'm looking for is an original android 1.5 Rom that has apps2sd thanks anyway guys

I have a rooted HTC desire with a 4GB SDcard with 2.1 running with Clockmod recovery 2.5.0.7 (ROM Manager shows this) installed.
HBOOT - 0.80.0000
Radio - 4.06.00.02_3
S-ON
Kernel - 2.6.29 (2.1-update1)
I do not have any microSD card reader to partition the SD card. All I have is ADB installed. I am not clear of the size of the partitions needed.
Now, how do I upgrade this to leedroid 2.3D? Is there a step by step instruction for doing this?

I'm very new to XDA. I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Note and was wondering how I could get all the data and apps (EVERYTHING I CAN) from my HTC sensation XL (I like big screens and I cannot lie). The Sensation XL has no SD slot. I tried following the instructions on some other forum and it was useless. Could someone more experienced give me a step by step way of doing this. Please help me do this. I am giving the Sensation XL to someone in need (they use a blackberry curve ugh also shes hot and gives me sex, no shes not a prostitute...). Also can I do this with the least amount of data usage they charge a bomb here. I

Download titanium backup app and use that to backup the apps you want to keep.
Plug device into your computer via USB, navigate to the TB folder, and copy it to your computer.
Eject that device, plug in the other and copy the TB file to it. Eject it.
Open TB and find the folder. All your apps and their data should be there.
Hit menu, batch mode, and select the apps you want to install. Let it do its thing.
If I remember correctly, sometimes data isn't compatible between two different devices. If you have problems with an app try uninstalling it with TB then reinstall without data.

The HTC sensation XL does not come with an SD slot, the XE which is what you have does.
4EXTRecoverySD for users with no or a different recovery on nand:
Code:
- Contains 4EXT Recovery ported for SD users.
- Unpack to the root of your sdcard
- Set your SD Boot to the Recovery folder or use clcad/haret to boot
