You can't flash a SIM number to a CDMA phone.

why does my sprint tp2 have a sim card
it's a world phone, you use the sim card in other countries . if you want gsm (at$T or tmobile) for the u.s., swing by the sim unlocker thread.
I unlocked my MyTouch 4g (Glacier) and I want to use my Verizon sim card in it but it does not detect Verizon in the network operators. How do I get verizon on there? Is it possible? I thought unlocking it would allow me to do this.

Verizon does not use 'SIM' cards
as 'SIM' cards are used for GSM networks and Verizon is a CDMA provider

I did google this extensively. The phone that I have here is on the verizon network and has a sim card. Why would I make that up?

Verizon is a CDMA network. The SIM card is there because the phone you have also has a GSM radio for traveling overseas. However, just because it says "Verizon" on the SIM card doesn't mean your phone connects to Verizon when you roam. It's actually connecting to Vodafone when you're roaming in most countries. That's what the SIM card slot is for. Now if you unlocked that phone, you could use it on T-Mobile or AT&T if you set it to GSM Mode.
That Verizon phone will work in the US and Canada whether or not that SIM card is in there. It's impossible to get a GSM phone (your MyTouch 4G) to work on a CDMA network (Verizon).

Hello, It is my understanding that Verizon phones are unlocked. have an HTC One phone that I would like to switch from Verizon to ATT. When I put a new sim card in the phone, it seems the ATT network is being blocked. Any thoughts?

Vezion is a CDMA provider which does not use sim cards (only mini sims i think for specific devices) while att is GSM which uses both mini sims and regular sims.

Thank you for your response. The HTC One has a mini sim card. I have an AT&T mini sim card to put in the phone, but when I do so it doesn't recognize the AT&T network and the CDMA/GSM setting is blocked. There is a way to switch networks. Could someone please help me out in identifying how? Thank you for your help in advance!

Verizon LTE phones are all sold unlocked and use sims. Also every model that I can think of sold in the last couple of years has GSM bands to be sold as "world phones". I appreciate the attempt to be helpful, but spreading misinformation is the opposite of that. After some more trial and error, it was an ATT provisioning issue
I'M a bit confussed corret me if i'm wrong but boost is a cdma network right but if that is true does that mean that all their phones will not use a sim card because my sister gave me her lg g stylo phone from boost who use a cdma network but the phone used a sim card how can that be, does boost use both cdma and gsm networks, thank
Recently revived my N5 that had been sitting around due to my N6P showing some water problems in case I needed to switch phones quickly.
Well, after resetting and installing AOSP Extended, I put my T-Mobile sim in, and gets no signal. It will recognize a sim is in, but I get no service at all. I figured something could be wrong with the simreader, so I tried some other sims. Sprint sim and a Freedompop(AT&T) sim both work. I know my T-Mobile sim works, as I'm currently using it in my 6p. Anyone have any solution?
freedompop uses at&t for GSM devices and sprint for CMDA devices. it sounds like your phone is the CMDA version, and your using the sprint network with freedompop. T-mobile is a GSM network and will not work with CMDA phones.
