I live in a non LTE market and found that the default PTA was in the slow side.
So after some searching i found another that still works in my area (harrisburg, pa) ... credit goes to madmike23
I found that between the 2 PTAs, the speed is about the same, so choose whatever fits you.

really have no idea whats going on, i used my phone like normal today running darky rom (port)
(yes i have an infuse 4g) and now my internet wont work at all, a few days ago i got a text from att saying that i was in the top 5% of internet users orsomething.
(i dont do any tethering, but i stream pandora all the time). i checked data at the time i was at 5gb.
i checked again now and im at 5.5 gg.
i thought that because i had an iphone 3g previously and had a grandfathered data plan that i should be alright.
(when i check data with *data# it says, (data 5519.3 of unlimited)
when i try to go to any website it loads for a long time then says "web page is not available"
any idea whats going on ?

Check into settings---> wireless connections--->Mobile networks--->APN(access point names)
Just check you still got your att apns they may have erased or be bad information.
If that doesnt work go into recovery try a cache cleaning.
If that doesnt work try another ROM, if you still have no data then call ATT.
Hope it solves.

yeah i checked my apn's and they were fine.
as it turns out i checked again the next morning and it was working no problem.
my guess is att was doing maintenance or something lol
Funny thing is my phone was doing the same thing. Must have been maintenance because all my phones weren't working.

I'm pretty sure Straight Talk does all that with unlimited data for $45 a month. I get 2Mb/s D and 1Mb/s U in a large area covering two states, PA and MD. Using an AT&T unlocked Note.

These are the settings I have that work for both 4G data and picture messaging. I'm using an AT&T ZTE Radiant Z740 Go Phone. Your setting options may or may not be different, you may have more or less settings, just plug in the info that seems to match what I posted. If you have to manually type APN Type then make sure no spaces are entered or auto added between "default, supl, mms". That prevented me from picture messaging for a long time before I noticed I had spaces.

did you follow the info on Straight Talks website on how to create a new APN? Because just from a quick glance those settings don't look right.
Yeah, "outside link could not post" doesn't sound like a correct setting.

He's a newbie. He can't post links. But it sure doesn't look like his APN is correct. Not sure where he got the dual APN from but it is not from the Straight Talk website. They only suggest a single APN.

Should be correct and needed.
Leave everything else undefined or blank except for APN type. I would use this:
APN Type: *

Thanks for reply but still no luck ,is there a picture size setting somewhere that could be wrong it worked with the last rom I used.

No MMS on straight talk Samsung note
Hi I'm using the Samsung note and can't receive or send mms. Could someone please help me with the settings? Mine are exactly like the red card says.
I'm using the exhibit II with st (Tmobile Sim}. Also cannot send mms. Any others having this issue? The apn settings are exactly as the instructions say
I have been looking for this info for hours today and can't find a simple response.
I tried the *#*#4636#*#* trick, it doesn't stick.
Can someone post APNs that force 2G, 3G, and 4G non-LTE for the AT&T One X?
Is there a working mod that installs a toggle for this?
4636 trick is working fine for me.. but i'm not in AT&T..i'm using it in india and using cleanrom std.
I'm going to answer one of my own questions here folks, this is the LTE (true 4G) disable.
go to Settings>Mobile Network>Access Point Names
Click the Menu button, and select "New APN"
Enter the following:
Name: Media Net (name doesn't really matter, as long as its different from the original APN)
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: Not set
Port: Not set
Username: [email protected]
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS proxy: wireless.cingular.com
MMS Port: 80
MMS Protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: Not set
APN type: default, supl, mms (no spaces after each comma)
Bearer: Unspecified
then hit back a few times, you may need to reboot for this to work

Its a known issue and it happens with everyone. Most likely because the LTE radio is still active , it just cant connect because the APN wont authenticate it. We need a true LTE off switch
Skyrocket on CM9 stable.
Hey, I need some help with APN settings from someone who does have LTE in their area. we have good LTE coverage out here but my data seems to keep dropping out, not sure why. I get a signal strength bar at the top but there is no letter indicator of what network type im on. my only hope right now is using a wifi connection but even then I don't have MMS. here are my current APN settings:
apn: wap.cingular
proxy: wireless.cingular.com
port: 80
username: [email protected]
password: not set
server: not set
mmsc: http://mmsc.cingular.com
mms proxy: wireless.cingular.com

authentication type: none
APN type: default,supl,internet + mms,*
APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
