did you follow the info on Straight Talks website on how to create a new APN? Because just from a quick glance those settings don't look right.

Yeah, "outside link could not post" doesn't sound like a correct setting.

He's a newbie. He can't post links. But it sure doesn't look like his APN is correct. Not sure where he got the dual APN from but it is not from the Straight Talk website. They only suggest a single APN.

Should be correct and needed.
Leave everything else undefined or blank except for APN type. I would use this:
APN Type: *
Click to collapse
If you still have MMS issues then try these changes:
MMS proxy: 66.209.11.32
MMS port: 8080

Thanks for reply but still no luck ,is there a picture size setting somewhere that could be wrong it worked with the last rom I used.

Works now did not out in apn type * Thanks for the help.

Incorrect APN settings??

Anyone know if the APN settings I have are incorrect and that may be causing me to not be able to send picture messages???
Here is what I have...
Name: ATT WAP
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: wireless.cingular.com
Port: 80
Username: Not Set
Password: Not Set
Server: Not Set
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com

APN Type: internet + mms
Some of these settings are different from what I've been linked to on another forum http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...y-s-gt-i9000-mms-internet-settings-t-apn.html
The phone won't let me edit these settings at all.
Nevermind my ramblings...I've figured it out and when I changed the settings and rebooted the phone it seems to have fixed my problem with not being able to send picture messages

I'm pretty sure Straight Talk does all that with unlimited data for $45 a month. I get 2Mb/s D and 1Mb/s U in a large area covering two states, PA and MD. Using an AT&T unlocked Note.

These are the settings I have that work for both 4G data and picture messaging. I'm using an AT&T ZTE Radiant Z740 Go Phone. Your setting options may or may not be different, you may have more or less settings, just plug in the info that seems to match what I posted. If you have to manually type APN Type then make sure no spaces are entered or auto added between "default, supl, mms". That prevented me from picture messaging for a long time before I noticed I had spaces.

ive never ever had problems with these settings on any other rom i have downloaded alot of them also. I am so confused i am not sure if i have a setting set up wrong or something or what but it won't work at all. I even tried to uninstall and reinstall it again and still no go
Did you make sure from straight talk themselves that you have no problem in your account data wise ? other than that remove the proxy and port from the apn (i.e. no need for mvno.trac...... or the next 80) ....

AOKP Milestone 6.2 (+other ROMs)- Has anyone else not been able to send/receive MMS?

This seems like an APN issue, but I don't know what settings to use. It doesn't matter if I'm using the default wap.cingular or the ATT PTA APN I got from the AOKP thread, MMS just doesn't send or download.
Here's my existing APN information.
wap.cingular
Code:
Name: ATT
APN: wap.cingular
Proxy: Not Set
Port: Not Set
Username: [email protected]
Password: Not set

MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: wireless.cingular.com

MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: Not set
APN type: default,supl,mms
APN protocol: IPv4
APN enable/disable: [locked to enabled]
Bearer: Unspecified
ATT PTA
Code:

APN: pta
Proxy: Not Set

Username: Not set
Password: Not set
Server: Not set
MMSC: http://mmsc.mobile.att.net
MMS Proxy: proxy.mobile.att.net

APN type: default,mms,supl,hipri
APN protocol: IPv4
APN enable/disable: [locked to enabled]

In the Messages app, any MMS I get just gives me to option to download, and when I click it, it never finishes. Any MMS I send just gets stuck at Sending.
Did you try changing the bearer to lte?
And also, when you say other roms does that mean your mms doesn't work with any rom?
If that's the case did your mms work pre- root as stock?

I have the same issue on aokp, I also encountered this problem on cm9. My mms will go through to their recipients but when I receive mms its hit and miss. Sometimes I get them but sometimes it will say downloading and it will just be a blank message

I had absolutely no problem with sending or receiving and kind of messages with any ROM...

I'm getting the same issue with AOKP. Its not just you.

Firstly don't use a password, then set APN type to default, supl,MMS. That's how mine is setup
