Hi, I was trying to do the debrand method here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1634171
After I copy over the system file, it popups a error and then the phone rebooted and bootloopped and stuck on the HTC screen and then reboots into what seems like a download mode. It shows the Phoen with a triangle over it.
Am I bricked? Does anyone know how to get out of this screen? so sad, please help.
EDIT: resolve by booting into bootloader, selecting fastboot usb plugged in, and running the att RUU. make sure battery is charged.

Long story short I messed up my i9020T while trying to apply the HSDPA hack (wouldn't get past Google boot logo, CWM couldn't mount partitions), and after a series of failed flashes I'm now at the point where stock 2.3.4 seems to be working fine, but I can't unlock the bootloader because it gets stuck after selecting the Yes prompt, and I can't properly enter Download mode to flash via ODIN (I don't get the yellow triangle, only part of the unlock-bootloader-prompt screen).
Do I have any options left? Any way to reflash completely using another method? Fastboot seems to work fine except for the inability to unlock the bootloader.
I'm at my wit's end, appreciate any help.
Try reinstalling the Samsung USB drivers. To get into download mode easily, hold down both volume keys and plug the phone into USB. It should go into download mode right away.
Run Odin as administrator and flash the stock images.
Thanks, but that didn't work either. Even the stock ROM and locked bootloader eventually failed, so something tells me there might have been a mechanical problem after all. Currently waiting for a Best Buy refurb replacement.
Hello anyone reading this, the other day i was at a birthday party and was just randomly browsing facebook on my phone when the phone ran out of battery. When i got home and put it on charge, it booted to the home screen, i put my lock code in and then it would start loading everything but then it just suddenly freezes so i had to keep restarting it manually and after a few goes, it got to the point where it would not go past the boot screen and now it seems as if it has like no idea what its doing.. i went into fastboot and factory resetting it but nothing happened, and when i go into recovery and try to wipe anything, it just freezes and does nothing. It wont even recgonize a usb cable and i have installed it on my computer before, and i have got to the point where i dont know what to do can anyone PLEASE help? :crying: :crying: :crying:

I need some more information to help, what do you mean lockcode. Do you mean the lock screen or encryption key at bootup. Also what version are you running and can you access fastboot mode? What recovery are you running? Stock?
Please answer these and I will try my best to assist.

What is the error message.
He there, just recently my phone had an update and i said yes to it. After the update completed It rebooted but never started back up.
When turned on, it just get up to the OnePlus One logo screen and stays there. I have tried a factory reset as I can access the recovery menu but the factory reset doesn't seem to do anything. I let the battery drain until the phone died and then charged it but it still will not start. Plugging it into my PC lets it charge but it does not let you access the storage. Its not a driver problem as it was working fine before the update.
I have tried fast boot but it just gets stuck on the fast boot screen.
I tried using OnePlus One Toolkit but it cant find the phone
I have read that I need to flash it but it would seem I need to transfer a file onto the phone but nothing recognizes the phone to transfer it to.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance,

Your persist partition might be corrupt. Grab this:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B98G0KTJwnBFUnJCNldodGs2dE0/view?usp=docslist_api
Then do this with fastboot:
Code:
fastboot erase persist
fastboot flash persist persist.img
Didn't work sadly. Maybe I should just flash everything?

Yeah, it's worth a shot. You can find full instructions in section 8 of my guide here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2839471
Yay!
It worked, thanks a lot!
After 8 years of tinkering with Android phones I have no clue how this happened.
PIXEL 2 (Walleye, non-xl)
Tried getting TWRP and ElementalX working but either one or both weren't doing there thing, though I could at least boot and use my phone normally. Finally ended in a situation where I couldn't boot passed fastboot with an error at the bottom "ERROR: LoadImageAndAuth Failed: Load Error". Found a fix that said to change the active partition. Set it to b and that worked and surprise it loads TWRP...so somehow TWRP was installed, but I can't actually load Android.
Grabbed the latest factory image and manually flashed all the files in the zip-within-the-zip. Everything flashed with no hiccups so I rebooted to bootloader with the intention to then reboot the system, and now this is happening:
TLDR Phone won't turn on. Holding PWR+VolDown SEEMS to do nothing, but it actually flashes a line on the screen like it's trying to load something for a milisecond, then does nothing. Holding PWR+VolUp does nothing. Holding PWR+VolUp+VolDown does the same screen flash followed by the notification LED blinking red 2 or 3 times. Please help!
EDIT: if it matters, the phone is about 50% battery and currently still on judging purely by the fact that it's been warm for about an hour.
sorry for your troubles, i have yet to see this with our phones. Just to get some more information, what happens when you try and charge it? If you plug your phone in to a computer via USB, does it show up in devices? If it shows in devices, can you run platform-tools and see if it shows up via fastboot devices with an ID? If you can connect to fastboot, you could attempt to flash images that way.

Nothing happens if I plug into the computer, no sound and not listed in devices. Plugging it in to the charger does nothing except possibly charges it, but I wouldn't know because the screen doesn't seem to be able to turn on for more than a milisecond of a flash.
I had this same problem when I flashed Elemental X kernel over top of the flash kernel and all I did was use the flash-all script that is included with the system image from google. This got me back to my OS where I flashed elemental and magisk. Do you have insurance through your provider?
Greetings.
Oii. I blew it big time. Attempted to flash from Havoc OS 3.11 to 4.2. I didn't stop to think how the upgrade from Android 11 would effect TWRP or Magisk. Now i'm in trouble!
What I did and what happened...
So. After wiping data and delvik and installing Havoc OS.
I first noticed a TWRP error indicating that the magisk binaries were missing. I think I've seen this before so I did not think anything of it.
I then rebooted back to recovery to flash again per the Havoc instructions.
I notice that my phone is at a black screen. Unresponsive. As if powered down...
Waiting a few minutes, then attempting to turn it back on/boot to recovery or boot loader produces nothing.
The best I get is the "Your boot loader is unlocked" warning. Then black.
Troubleshooting steps.
I've been looking around on the forums for a bit.
1: I found the Mega Unbrick Guide and tool. And, while I was able to get into qualcom download mode once, with the device in device manager, the download tool did not work. I received the error "Sahara Communication Failed, Please try again after power off phone. (PBL:6)". Having powered off the phone I am unable to get back into qualcom download mode...
2: I am unable to get the device to be recognized by ADB. Possibly because it's not getting into fastboot???
3: I'm currently downloading the MSM tool.
4: I seem to be unable to boot into recovery via volume+power combo.
Sadly I forgot to pull a TWRP backup. Although I don't know if it would have done me any good in this instance.
Help!
Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you much.

Edit: Got into fastboot...
Selecting boot to recovery sends me to a black screen...
Selecting boot to bootloader restarts and goes right back into fastboot...
Selecting shut down actually restarts: unlock warning and then black...
In fastboot, both Bootloader and Baseband version are blank... That doesn't sound normal.
Edit2: Got back into QDM and the unbrick tool is now recognizing the device. It's running through its process... Fingers crossed and praying to Jesus.
Edit3: The Mega Unbrick Guide/Tool did the trick! I'm now happily back on stock.
A help for those that had an issue similar to mine. It almost seemed that my phone was turning off by itself. Every time I turned it on it would turn right back off after showing the "Your bootloader is unlocked" warning. The trick to get it into Qualcom Download Mode was holding both volume buttons down with the power button, while the phone was connected to the computer.
So thankful to everyone who has gone through this before me and left guides to help. Thanks and take care!
