[Q] Problem with HDMI - Milestone XT720 General

I have installed [ROM][KANG][2012.05.06] CyanogenMod 7.2.0 Milestone XT720...
and I dont know how display via HDMI port on TV LED/LCD/PLASMA...
Can somebody help me?

I could be wrong but I think HDMI doesn't work in CM7.

Is not a error... because if you check the theme for KANG CM7...
some people say... it's works... but, never say HOW CAN DO IT...

IIRC some users said they used the TrueHDMI app, but I'm not sure.

Good answer... in fact an app exist... is called Real HDMI, but only works with motorola droid x and some users says "work in my Motoroi",
Personally, I allready tested the app on my XT720, and does not working...
Yesterday, I install "[ROM] [20120426]CronosX (Android2.3.7) for XT720 continues...update to RC2.1"... but.. the same, does not working...
Unfortunately I can not even write in forums related to development.. but, when you can makes me available for testing with anything you do developers .. to whom many thanks for your dedication ...

Netflixs app on the Bravo

Anyone try to get the app working on our phone? I loaded it and tried to change the build file to the HTC Vision but the app wouldnt let me stream any video.
I tried the same but didn't work... Might be sometime with blur preventing from Netflix actually identifying it as an HTC... maybe I'm completely wrong but I tried both the leaked netflix app that came out a while ago and the newest one with no luck. What I did notice was when i edited the build prop, when i went into the marketplace it would actually find the netflix app but when i changed it back to show as a Moto Bravo it would no longer show it in the marketplace
The Netflix app is NOT compatible with the stock Bravo. Bandroid said there was a way around this, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
Netflix
If you have CM7 or CM9 the netflix app works with no problems now. I think by now it should work with our stock rom but I haven't tried it.

Sadly its not working on cm9 now with the new video drivers for making work full hardware acceleration on our phones (defy, bravo, milestone and more)
Lets hope that devs take problem and solve it.

Well if you do remember CM9 hasen't been the most friendly rom for our little Bravo to begin with. That's why i've just stuck with one of the early CM7's. It's probably had vast improvements since the one I installed but it is a trooper. Has force feeding Netflix been tried yet or marking it as a system app?

Its not yet perfect, not friendly even for defy users, but our phone have a great potencial to do many things possible. As you know if our phone would not have that locked bootloader, it was just like some other new phone, thanks to the great procesor it has.
But despite locked boot, the phone is now working really great, it just need some tweaks or something to run a little bit faster, but now everything is working really great, I love the rom now, I hope devs make it a little bit faster before going to JB, but I think it will because with every new nightly the rom is smoother and thats why now Im using it alredy as my primary rom.
I recomend you now to install it again, I hope netflix works sometime in the future, my netflix account has some problems, when it is ready Im going to install multiboot manager to use GB to see it.

[Q] ROM known issues

Hi
Since I'm a new user I can't post in the development forum, so imma ask here.
I have been following this thread for a long time:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1293751
And I'm having a hard time finding a list of known issues for each ROM. I've been looking everywhere but still can't find if BT, HDMI output and 30fps video (just to name a few) are working with the ROMs that are listed in the thread.
I'm more interested in the Compiled CM7 for Infuse and MIUI for Infuse, but they only redirect to the CyanogenMod website and/or give half-answers.
Can anybody help?
Nope none of it works on CM7 or MIUI.
Bt and Hdmi will work when the source codes for gb come out for our phone. Hopefully soon since the last leak came out like last month and was pretty solid.
Not all that sure with the fps issue.
Sent from my SGH-I997
Thanks for clearing that one out for me.
Do you know if we'll be able to port CM9 to the Infuse once the source codes do leak? Or is this not compatible/irrelevant?
Bluetooth isn't waiting on source code, cyanogen mod uses a different Bluetooth stack than Samsung roms, the only thing that will fix Bluetooth is to find a competent developer who had the time, skill, and motivation to get the call audio working over Bluetooth.
So far we have all three, but not all in one developer
the current cm7 compile is otherwise working really well. as kies mini just hit for the infuse you gotta think the full release is right behind it.
Crossing our fingers for source code soon, HDMI and getting our video support back would be nice on custom kernels. Stock kernel is killing my inner child
"the current cm7 compile is otherwise working really well" - so, no HDMI output and no Bluetooth? Otherwise, no problems? I might give it a shot then.
What about CM9? Anybody has a clue?

Kinda shocked that nobody mentioned this.. but this should not have been asked in the development thread to begin with... thanks for choosing the right thread........
As for finding their issues.. just read the threads.. I'd recommend checking out the one with Zeus in the title.. my resources tell me it's a pretty good one...

[Q] Android Update 2.3 for Triumph?

I dont know if this was asked or answered i didnt see anything, but I read on some site cant remember that there was gonna be a update release for the triumph now i dont know if this is true has any one else heard of anything like this? The triumph has not had a update since release almost a year ago so it would be nice if one was. maybe a fix to the GPS and audio.
When I bought mine it came with 2.3.7 back in February, and now running cm7 couldn't be happier with this phone flashed a lot still running strong

Virgin Mobile banned the trumph

Yeah it was leaked on some site that the MT was getting the update but now the phone is discontinued (not banned).Only hope for this phone is the amazing team here on XDA
300 dollars would have been wasted if it wasn't for the devs
The devs are awesome
Especially g60 and chairshot. Also, all the devs that have left, you will be missed... g60 has rewritten most of the device files, and put in a lot of hard work on Starship Triumph with regards to the GPS.
cm7 tickerguy reloaded
ok im not sure about the update frm anything other then 2.2.2 from vm but i do know as im running it right now the fusion rom that downloads the evolution 1.1 file that ends up being evolution 2 is 2.3.4 and all features are working including camera and hdmi and its running as smooth as the sharp rom the only thing i did different then normal was flashed the fusion rom over froyo cream and everything as i said is working great
lol i see u created this rom or just uploaded not sure but maybe this kernal could work with the cm7 for hdmi and camera more on hdmi kinda of an everyday use when u have young kids

This ^
If the evolution rom has working HDMI then its 99.9% chance its Froyo based, the 2.3 can come from build.prop. changes
Also the cm7 tickerguy is nice but its the oldest and most outdated of all cm7's for the triumph
1.tickerguys cm7
2. Whyzor took over after Tg and has whyzors Tg-reloaded
3. G60 took over after whyzor and made g60madman cm7
4. G60 took it a step further and got a team together and made MTDEV-CM7
All the roms except mtdev-cm7 are based off cm7 the older version, while the mtdev-cm7 is based on cm7.2 final
Which includes many updates both from the cm7 team and the mtdev team have been added
The only difference I've seen outta all of them is whyzor's tg reloaded has alot of tweaks set to maximize battery life, but its still an older cm7, currently the mt-dev team has been working on kernels and tweaks since they have pretty much everything except HDMI running flawlessly, also some users have reported small wifi bug which there looking into as well
The real deal is BSydz PA CM9 ROM for the triumph that is on the android forums board.

Why we cant port cm9 to optimus 3d.

Hi.
As we all know there wont be any cm9 for optimus 3d (atleast not before the official LG update) but Why? Why can't it be ported? Is it that the hardware isn't compatible or that we don't have any developers that know how? It can't be that someone tried to port it but it has some bugs beacouse then we would have an alpha version.
So i really want to know why.
Is it a big problem with the hardware? Ok. I just want to know why
Thank you
If you bothered searching the forum, you would have known that it was because the DSP firmware isn't working, which means no audio, so arcee is not releasing it since no audio makes a phone rather useless
Ok thank you that's what i wanted to hear
BTW I have searched

Wondering if there's anyone developing for Equiso and other Android sticks.

Hello. I was just wondering if either anyone here was planning on developing for Android tv sticks, or if there's already a community somewhere that already does.

There are a couple that I know of. I have an MK808 stick and use FreakTab and ArmTVTech. Every once in a while you can find some stuff on XDA but as far as I know there is not a dedicated section.
koush is working on a cyanogen mod edition perhaps? https://plus.google.com/+CyanogenMod/posts/95kZohjyQf9
What's required to open a section for this device?
I'm working on attempting to update the ROM to their newest release, which fixes a few issues, but Equiso devs work rather slow (?i think?) and can find people waiting in long lines only for responses... or else throwing the stick to the curb... wondering if Clockwork or something could push it in?
I think from what I've heard, if you ask the devs for source code, they will give, as there's a few sites out there that are listing optional kernel modules for devices like USB audio support...
I hate bringing stuff back from the dead, but anyone still use this device or just me? Lol.
@Koush?
Today my smart stick won't remember the date. Lol.
Won't play 1080 well, but SD, some 720 work. I think I'm so going to get one of those boxes instead now..
