I ran this over night. I found no problems. I didn't have any force closes or any random reboots. My only concern is battery. I had my battery to 65% before going to sleep and woke up 7 hours later it was almost dead. So in my opinion that's the only problem, battery life.

I booted last night as well went to bed at 3am with 88% woke up at 8:30 and had 72& with led's lit up and 4g connection and full sync, stock kernel. I can live with it, but draw something kept hanging on me and freezing, so I went to install Trinity and it wouldn't boot for me, I've never had the issue before flashing elp or t15 and neither would boot. So I just moved to Faux for the time being. Anyone else having troubles installing morfic on this rom.

Trinity G2x
This kernel aims at bringing performance and usability to your phone.
Is this kernel where i want it to be? No, not yet.
Is it worth flashing? Yes it is.
It seems cpasjuste's UV feature is something hard to get around, so I didn't fight the source and just included this.
So what do we have?
cm source based (2.6.32.43) (cm changelog not repeated here, i'll try to stay in sync)
Cpasjuste UV/OC
VM improvements (keeps you from running out of memory, stalls if they happen are shorter and less severe than in stock kernels)
Build improvements (leaner, meaner code)
No crazy long feature lists, less is more!

For those who can't wait for the next kernel release and want the new Trinity bootanimation by the awesome @rascarlo NOW.
Check his other awesome stuff while you are there.
Make sure you have a recovery with support for ext4
Setcpu supports these kernels, as does the cpu settings under CM7 performance setting, no tool required if further UV is not desired!

Red Sonjia is by far the worst.

I'm fairly new to android but i have a Rogers LTE and I am a software tester as my day time job..
I tried the TPC V3 and it was pretty good but i ran into some issues after a few days. I posted them somewhere on here but here they are again
1) the battery drained pretty quickly.
2) while in contacts it will all of a sudden jump to a random letter
3) when i try and open angry birds or fruit ninja it flashes and goes back to the home screen
4) when i reboot my phone the time is wrong and i have to set it to network time again
5) in the factory browser when i rotate the device it automatically goes back to Google.com no matter what page i am viewing, also it closes all my open windows too
Cosmetically - i'm not a fan of the 4G LTE icon and the Blue circle battery meter..
but this dev seems to update his stuff regularly and i am looking forward to trying it again as it was pretty fast and smooth.
I am currently just Rooted with these instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1340526
it works well and the battery life seems to be pretty good.. on LTE all day it lasts and wifi at home in the evening.. it still has the Rogers Bloatware on it but i just put into a CRAP folder and leave it at that..
Cyanogenmod 7 is the best with DA_G kernel version 4 for cm7. Phone is ultra stable & alot faster then it was with the Stock rom or any of the other custom roms.
I've been using the latest QwikWiz for a couple of weeks now and I've been pleased with the results thus far (other than the speech to txt not working anymore, and when it does, it says 'canadian english'), but I was wondering if anyone has tried installing this kernel and using qwikwiz at the same time? I'm not even sure if its possible (im new at this kinda stuff). Just wondering what peoples thoughts/experiences were.
This Kernel should work on ALL roms less CM7.
Make a nandroid and Flash. it will NOT prem bork your phone. if anything all you will have to do is get back into CMW and restore your nandroid and it bring your phone all the way back to the point you backed up at, with data, kernel, apps, setting, messages, and all that good stuff.
so flash away bruh.
The qwikwiz says it was OC'd to 1.83, and this kernel says it is 1.7....is this slower than what the ROM was pushing the processor to?

it was running da_g kernel is why so if u use faux kernel which is more stable.... then u can only overclock to 1.7
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
I never had any stability issues with the other kernel. Only issue I had was that the speech to text would stop working randomly (until i did a soft reset), and then it would still say I was in Canadian English...but after awhile that would stop working again. I guess I'll give this one a go and see how its like. Worst case scenario, I guess I could always roll back.
Pretty happy with this.
Using NexusmodI717 with Gideonx script.
No issues.
I attempted to use faux123's kernel but was having issues with my device not going into "deep sleep"...
Now I may only have 10 posts here on XDA but I would like to state that I did unplug the charger and used CPU Spy to see if my device would go into deep sleep when not in use.
I then switched to Da_G's kernel (0.42 for ROGERS) and my device sleeps when not in use.

charge battery, then falsh kernel
charge til full then turn off phone and turn it on.
go to battery calabration, you can get it in the market..
let it charge up to 4200 then calabrate.
if this doesn't work then charge to 4200 again calabrate again.. then boot into cwm and clear bat stat, let it die.. then charge to 100/4200.
then calabrate again.. and enjoy
Is battery calibration necessary? And also what roms r u guys using wit faux that is good for battery life? I'm planning to change my rom from tpc to something else

Red sonja Here
had good battery life before the kernel.
and i am using spb 3d Shell.....which uses more battery than the stock launcher. so im sure it will be even better that way.
Been using the two with limited issues. Phone is snappiest it has been, and scores slightly better in every benchmark
Idle battery loss is an improvement....but it seems to drain faster than da g's .3 kernel did while in use
Still testing though...we have 5 batteries and one may be bad.
On this battery today I have had the best battery life on faux kernel since flashing it.
We put the ??? Battery in our other skyrocket today (which is running .3 with quickwiz) to see if we can narrow it down.
My phone is definitely sleeping, but only uses 1.72 or 384 mhz

Gonna give this a shot, love your cm7.
Edit: OK been running this last night and today, only a couple things to report. Using it stock kernel etc I didn't change anything. Wifi calling FC constantly, had to freeze it to shut it up. Wifi ap froze the phone, had to battery pull. Getting a lot of keyboard lag. Rom ran great when it first installed, but now the keyboard lag won't go away even after reboot. Having a hard time getting google sync on 4g, sometimes does sometimes doesn't, wifi is working fine.
Overall very nice rom especially considering no tweaks really done, runs very well.

If you take a look at CM's site, you'll see that their development hasn't advanced any, as far as what's been released, since May 11th. So, I'm sure that once CM releases an update, Euroskank will update based off new source code.

Cool. I still played with and it seems fine. Just a few minor issues like with the data icon not changing, and the apps taking long to open up.

Does audio work for you? My media apps seem unable to play sound.

Save this link for CM7 nightly changelog:
http://cm-kang.appspot.com/p999
Make sure LG P999 & Gingerbread is selected. The nightly 0617 build has NO changes from the CM7.2 0615 version. The next one will have a couple as of right now (prob next sunday) It's just on an automated build schedule.

Thanks for a helpful, if not humorous, response. The BT issue is #64 and only for G2x. Will see week by week.

So I guess we don't reference this (link) anymore for the changelog?
Anyhow, I flashed two phones to the new baseband and then to cm-7-20120617-NIGHTLY. Things seem ok for the most part but I've already had 3 instances of the "left on charger for a long time came back and unresponsive had to pull battery" issue. I'm hoping I'm not the only one. Not running any custom kernels or under/overclocking (yet...) on either phone.
EDIT: Forgot to mention I fully wiped both phones during install.

After those first few freezes (2 on one phone, 1 on the other) I mentioned earlier, I have not been able to recreate the issue. Used one of the phones all day today. On an off wifi calling, in and out of areas with reception, texting, browsing. No problems. No data drops. Now I need to start looking into what kernels I can play with...
