Pre order Evo LTE from bestbuy - General Questions and Answers

Hello all,
As you can see, I'm currently an at&t customer. I was wondering if I could pre order the Evo LTE from best buy and set up a sprint account from best buy in store or online. I'm looking to completely ditch at&t. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Sprint has evo what does att have?

Just as the title says my wife wanted an iphone so we moved to att and my question is what is ATT version of the evo?
I looked on htc web site and the closest thing I can find is the ATT inspire.
Any suggestions?

I would say the HTC Inspire is the closest thing to it for AT&T

I would agree with jumpman1229, The HTC Inspire 4G is probably the closest thing. I just picked one up and pretty slick. They were really pushing the Samsung Infuse 4G, but I didn't want to pay the $199. I think the Samsung Infuse 4G is the newest one they threw out.
tell you what id do. I would get the htc sensation for tmo and unlock it to att. or wait for the world version of the evo 3d. but if you are trying to buy a subsidized phone then I would go with the inspire. Although it has no kickstand, no front facing camera, and it is buggy as hell. my friend has one and sometimes cant make a call without resetting it. he had att switch it out for him and it still has the problems.
I would ditch att for verizon. their network is better and the android choices are better. the thunderbolt is the evo.
Yeah I would have prefered verizon but my wife made the decision for fathers day ect. And honestly I would have kwpt the iphon but for some of the little things just mot included in the ATT base IOS.
I did go get the inspire so far seems good gonna keep it and just pay retail for an evo 3D when I can get it for ATT. or any dual core phone really.
Thanks for the heads up though.

Traveling to Canada - Prepaid SIM

Hello fellow xda members! I will be visiting Montreal in September and I was wondering if anyone could help me out: I am currently using a Straight Talk prepaid SIM with my International galaxy nexus, and it will not work once I cross the border. Since I'm only going for one weekend, I don't want to buy an entire month's worth of service from a Canadian prepaid. Does anyone know of a cheap alternative? Thanks in advance.

Switching from t-Mobile to walmart family

I'm going to change my service from t-Mobile to walmarts tmobile family plan, I'm bringing over a sensation 4G and an htc G2, do I need an unlock code for this? I have looked around a bit find conflicting answers, has anyone made the switch? Did you need to unlock your phones?

Prepaid Plans

I'm currently I'm Verizon and debating on jumping ship to a prepaid service. Can anyone make any suggestions on which one and anything other info?
Thanks!

I've heard that Page Plus uses the VZW network so you'd at least have good coverage. Other than that, I don't know.
There are instructions here on how to do it:

Page plus will work but you won't be able to get 4G. I believe there are currently no prepaid phone companies that can use Verizons 4g.

You could just get your Thunderbolt flashed to Verizon prepaid unlimited everything for $50 a month.
You can't get 4g, only 3g but it's unlimited and only $50 a month, what else can a person ask for

Seeing as how you will be staying in major cities I would recommend a T-Mobile mvno or prepaid plan.
Hey, if youre from Canada I'm going there over the summer... What would you recommend for a 2 week vacation? Probably staying in montreal

I use prepaid Net10 (AT&T) on my Captivate. Works great, and if you buy your cards off of ebay you save 10-15 bucks.
