Can't send or receive MMS - HTC Sensation

Hi Guys,
After i read about AOKP and the lot of feature in it i decide to flash the build 34.
Now my problem, i cant send or receive MMS. If someone send me a MMS there is also no notification and if i go into the SMS/MMS App and hit the download button nothing happen. The bad thing on it, if i try to download my mobile data become crazy. It's activated but in the notification bar the H/3G/E/G symbol disappear every second and i got no connection. If i try to send a MMS the same things happen.
the problem is, for my Job its necessary for me to send a lot of picture to my fellows. Now i send the picture to a friend as email and he send the MMS to the other because in Germany not everybody got a Smartphone.
I tryed to fix it with creating new APN but still got the problem
is this maybe a known bug or i am to stupid?
Before i'm running MIUI V4 and it worked fine so i though it is a problem with AOKP
hope someone can help me.
Operator: Vodafone Germany
Phone: HTC Sensation
Rom: AOKP Build 34

MMS Problem

Hi,
I got spv c600 n upgraded it to wm6
when someone tries to send me an MMS message, the phone connects to GPRS, but i doont get no notifications of receiving any message.
When I click on the message icon, i only get outlook e-mail and txt messaging. no MMS
can anyone one help me pls
I have been using WM6(the andot version) on my Cingular 2125 for about 3 months now and love it. One issue that I cant seem to resolve is the MMS. I know that if you go into the TEXT MESSAGING and then click Menu, New, and then you can select either SMS or MMS. But I cant receive any MMS, unless I go to create a new one, then it shows that I have a received one, but by this time it is already expired. I cant seem to find any settings that affect the MMS Gateway or such, so any help would be great.
Update***
Now I seem to receive the message about a week later.
What WM6 ROM are you using?
Try Nitro's or EA's version. There is also a setting as to whether you prefer messaging to use GSM or GPRS somewhere.

Got similar problem here with wm6 Eng_Standard v.3.1 running on c600 - I can send MMS but not receive - instead of that I receive SMS notification that this MMS was placed somewhere on GSM carriers servers. By pressing Menu>Send/Receive the top bar shows 'Error Synchronizing' message... Is it possible to change some settings to fix that? Any suggestions, please (my HTC TyTN on the same carrier copes with this issue without any prob - Sends/Receives MMS's both ways).
I suggest having a read of this thread...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=343434
.. it may answer a few questions. I have MMS working perfectly on o2 UK on the "perfect English" ROM with the settings I posted in the above thread, no delay in receiving messages.

[Q]Boost EVO MMS (I Can Receive MMS But Can't Send)

What's happening guys? I've searched through forum after forum trying to figure out why my Boost EVO won't send picture messages and have yet to find a solution to my problem. I did the ##3282# thing, went to Advanced & changed the MMS Server URL to http ://mm.myboostmobile.com (I put the space between the http & the ://mm.myboostmobile.com because I'm a new poster so this site wouldn't allow me to post it due to possible spamming) & still haven't had any luck at all. I can receive picture messages with no problem, but when I go to send them, it appears as if they've been sent out, but the phone that they're sent to never receives them. I've tested this out myself by sending a few picture messages from my Boost EVO to my Cricket EVO, which has no problem sending or receiving mms, and it never receives the picture messages from the Boost EVO. Anybody have any suggestions? Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanx
i have same exact problem
Yea im frustrated it seems nobody knows how to fix this im running ultimate droid 3.3 and everything works flawless except i can not send mms can recieve sms and send but no matter what ive tried as far as apps deleting file and other fixes somebody with more experince please help htc evo on boost mobile oh and the data fix ##data#does nothing wont even ask for msl which i have i hit send and everything nothing /
I tried for 2 weeks to get mms on my new Evo (flashed to Boost). I finally found a solution! I had to post because 1) xda-developers is awesome and 2) I'm so grateful to the original author of the solution (sorry I don't have the name or link for credit) I wanted to pass it along.
Sounds like you guys are running CM ROMs...##3282# doesn't work with CM, but don't worry, you don't need it! OK, ready for the crazy simple fix?? Here goes:
Download and install GoSmsPro from Market
Open the app and go to Menu>Settings>MMS Settings>APN Configuration
Check the Fill APN Configuration Manually box
MMSC = mm.myboostmobile (you know the rest)
Leave MMS Proxy blank
MMS Port = 80
Reboot your phone
That's it! You should now be able to send mms. Still trying to find a fix to receive mms directly instead of having to use web browser. If anyone has a solution please post!

There are just 5 posts in this thread and the first post spells out the mm.myboostmobile.com. I can't verify whether setting this in GO SMS Pro is sufficient or not. I did go and get GO SMS but I also did the ##DATA# >Edit>Advanced thing and changed the MMS from the sprint one.
I am getting MMS messages working in BOTH directions. IMPORTANT: At first I was having failures in sending. That was because I forgot to use the whole 10 digit number to send to. They appeared to be sent but they didn't go anywhere. Then I tried sending one to my own number which happened to be complete with area code. A couple seconds later I received it back. Shortly after that I got a message from Boost Mobile telling me that my Media Mail account was activated. So, it may be that simple. Half-working is not good enough.

I dont think boost will be willing to help if I tell them that I have an evo on their network... it sucks on the stock rom that my evo was flashed, mms works fine, and my data wont drop... but if i go with cm7 my mms will not send although it says it was sent and I can receive mms... ohhh and my data goes out every 10 min, so I have to turn 3g on and off to get it working again... but I dont want a sense rom, I love cm7...

OK so its a CM based problem. Make sure you don't turn background data off or mms will not send on CM based roms. The fact that your data keeps swiping is my mms won't send.
I am trying to solve this problem too. I have changed the address in the advanced ##DATA# menu but that doesn't do anything.
I have the 1/11/2012 Energy ROM installed, fresh install actually. Any suggestions?
EDIT: This seems to be related to the ROM, I nandroided back to my original rom and outgoing MMS works.
Not sure where that leaves me now though
if u would like to know the easiest way to do this message me and I will give the instructions. it doesnt require any other apps just your meid.

I think you solved this without knowing.
I just flashed my EVO 4G LTE to boost and everything was good short of being unable to send MMS over 3g (wifi was fine)
You posted to leave the MMS Proxy blank.
So I went into EPST and made sure that mms destination address as correct and then wnet nad set the mms proxy to blank and now I can send mms over 3G.

[Q] SMS problems after installing Lollipop

Hello everybody
Yesterday i installed the 5.0 factory image from Google on my Nexus 5. Everything looked OK until i noticed that i couldn't send any SMS messages. Receiving worked fine. I even tried various SMS apps. All had the same problem.
Today i installed the 4.4.4 image. SMS was working fine again. After i sideloaded the update to 5.0 the problems returned.
Can anybody tell me how to fix this, because i'm running out of ideas. I really like Lollipop, but would like to be able to send a SMS once in a while.
BTW: I use vodafone NL
Thank you!

I have the exact same problem, unable to send sms/texts but recieving them just fine. I'm on hollandsnieuwe (which uses the vodafone NL network afaik). I have this problem since updating to the last developer preview (LPX13D) and it persists with a clean install of the official release (LRX21O).
So far I have tried:
- different apps (messenger, hangouts, textra), which did nothing
- changing the SMSC (berichtencentrale in dutch) as in this post >kye.id.au/android-sms-not-sending-fix/< which also did not help.
- creating a proper mms APN in hangouts, which fails because my provider doesn't support mms.
- put my sim in a dumbphone to test and it sent sms just fine which makes me think this is not carrier related and instead caused by lollipop.
Edit: it appears there's someone that managed to solve the issue using the mms APN in hangouts (forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/help/doesnt-receive-text-messages-t2940517). @miesjaa: perhaps this will help you as well? As I stated before, my carrier doesn't do mms, so there's no mms APN to put in hangouts. Anyone with ideas for a workaround?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Willem
I'm sorry to say that the APN fix mentioned in my thread didn't turn out to be as good as I thought. I was able to message 1 person and that was it. After a few hours I couldn't text him anymore nor anyone else, so I too reverted back to kitkat. Anyway, I contacted Vodafone about this and they told me they would check compatibility when the OTA comes out. It will probably soon be fixed!
As this seems to be a problem with the combination Nexus 5/Lollipop/Vodafone NL I thought I'd share some links:

Let's hope this gets resolved soon!

It will be fixed
Same here.. although Vodafone is billing these texts as texts to international countries.. so watch out!
I guess we'll have to wait. Was hoping to find a patch on XDA, But there is not . Never use sms. But well.
Hmm they're taking their time to fix this problem... still no sign of an update.
So I've found a fix for this issue, not the most convenient one but it works. In order to send other people text messages you'll have to change their number prefix from +316 to 06. (Note: It only worked for me by deleting the contact and readding them by pasting the 06 number) The next step is to install textra from the play store. Now try to send a text message through textra (hangouts disabled). You'll know if it worked when you open your contacts app, select the contact you have texted and see that a text was sent to a 06 number instead of a +316.
If this doesn't work try to text directly to a 06 number in textra.
*Found the solution here https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=79580#makechanges
