Screen issue - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Quick question, I have two spots on the screen that when press along the edges of left or right of the scrren the middle of the screen and lower left of the screen (with more pressure than needed to operate the screen,) it will have ripple effect effect. I am wondering if this is isolated or widespread?

1. Dont do that
2. That happens with any lcd screen when you "press harder than needed"

Touch Response

I just brought a TP 2 days ago (previously TytnII), cool phone, fast and lots of ram.......but the response of the stylus on the screen is slow and sometimes you have to press harder to get a response , finger touch is great though....... any one has this problem or do i have a faulty device ........
Install AdvancedConfig and in TF section there are 2 settings: "Pressure threshold" and "Finger pressure". Set it to maximum and apply changes. It is much more better.
I read that Pressure Threshold to 41 Finger Pressure to 18 was an optimal setting.
I've tried those settings but I'm still wondering if the touchscreen can be set more sensitive.
I have some trouble hitting scrollbars, especially along the right edge of the screen. I need to press noticeably harder. It may just be inherent with the construction of the screen, I assume the edges need more pressure just because the edges are harder and the center is softer. From what I understand, resistive touchscreens have two layers that need to make contact, so in the center its easier to make the layers touch, on the edges it would be more rigid since the two layers are fastened along the edges.
Anyway I tried lowering the Threshold and Pressure values way down and my screen wouldn't respond any more, I had to use Mobiler to set them back to 41 and 18 through my PC.
Can anyone explain how the Pressure Threshold and Finger Pressure settings work?
I assumed setting the Pressure Threshold very low would make it more sensitive(why not 5 or 10?) and setting Finger Pressure high would make each press register more strongly. Doesn't seem to be the case though.
41 and 18 are very usable and way better than whatever the stock ROM had, but I'm still trying to see whats the most sensitive setting possible.

Do a screen alignment that should get you back to the correct stylus settings

[Q] [A700] Right edge of the screen not responding correctly

Hello!
I have an issue concerning my A700.
I sometimes have to tap more than five times buttons or links when they're located at the edges of the screen.
It's especially noticeable when pressing objects on the right edge of the screen; the parameters button on the notification tray, for example.
It happens whatever the screen sensivity and performance level are set on.
I'm running the official 4.1 JB.
Have you noticed the same behavior on yours?
Thank you for your answer.

[Resolved][Q] Removing dirt/dust from screen w/o affecting playback

In dark areas of the screen, any dust or dirt becomes easily visible and distracts me from watching a movie.
I can of course wipe it off with a finger, but then the movie will fast-forward, volume and brightness-level will change etc.
Is there some trick - short of disabling all gestures - that will make it possible to touch the screen without affecting playback?
(Like a special gesture that will temporarily enable the other gestures)
Screen lock, in the bottom left corner.
Feeling a bit silly now, that lock was there all the time...
I found another solution also: volume and brightness does not need to be changed often, so once they're fine one can disable those gestures and then clean off dust vertically.

[Q] How do I change usable screen area for Android

I accidentally dropped my OnePlus One and it resulted in a crack that goes from the bottom of the left edge of screen to the right edge of the screen about 3/4 inches from the bottom. Luckily the LCD display still works, but the digitizer (touch) has stopped working in a rectangular area at the bottom of the screen. I now have to use a screen rotation app, combined with on-screen navigation bar (the hardware buttons also are IN that rectangular area) to work with my OPO along with a lot of turning the phone upside down to access all the screen functions.
Today I got to know of the wm size and wm density commands using which I was able to play with the phone's resolution, but whatever I do with these commands, the whole screen area is being used. Would anyone here know of some way to change the usable screen area so the rectangular area at the bottom is ignored for all purposes - i.e. it remains black all the time and everything begins from above this area?
I do have a replacement screen but I don't suppose it is original plus I don't want to risk opening up my phone and putting the replacement.
I'm using CM12 and I've rooted my phone.

General Split screen issue

Split screen from full screen issue
Hi, if anyone's using split screen 2 finger gesture or One Hand Operation + gestures for split screen, did you notice that since OneUi 5.0 it mostly opens split screen apps in the top screen when going from a full screen. For example when I'm watching YouTube in full screen with a gesture it opens it on the bottom side mostly even tho it's inconvenient and not handy, it sometimes opens it in the top part of the screen if I rotate phone in another side. For example it opens it in the top side of the screen if the phone is in full screen - front camera is on the left side, but it opens it on the bottom if the front camera is on the right side. I don't see the logic.
