[Q] Resolving Problem In Android Phone - General Questions and Answers

I do not know how to restore my android mobile operating system.
At a few months ago, I had made a post for help on my android phone on this forum, but until now I have not been able to fix my android system.
Problem:
At that time, I'm interested in from the android system update and then I download GSmart_G1315_V0.50.2_PL_CZ.zip which, according to a tutorial that I could read in spend on upgrading the android phone Nexian nx-a892.
I then tried to follow the tutorial,
Starting from sw_ver.txt edit the file in /system/etc/sw_ver.txt (Using Root Explorer) says "BUILD_SW_PROJ = Nexian", I replace the "Nexian" with "pl_cz" according to the tutorial.
Then edit the file build.prop in /system/build.prop and replace all the "Nexian" with "GSmart" and "A892" with "G1315".
Then do the update from sdcard to file Update.zip
At this moment I am having a problem, because there is a warning error, but the operating system can still get into the android desktop.
I then opened explorer and re-edit root /system/build.prop in this section:
"Ro.product.model = Nexian A892", delete "Nexian" then save it.
then I go to /system/app/ .. and remove all the applications in it,,, I like hypnotized make the same mistake.
**** Error occurs when phone restart... *****
Expect the solution:
Among my friends, who can help me solve this problem?
I can only get fastboot mode but can not perform the update from here.
I can not do the update from sdcard, warning always appears E: Error in line7.
I want to activate adbmode, does not work at all.
Help from friends so I would expect. Previously I thank you.

[Q] Nexus One 2.2 to 2.3.4 -- Help Please

Hi Guys,
two weeks ago I got a brand new , unlocked nexus one from ebay. The android it has is 2.2; i am trying to upgrade to 2.3.4 but no luck so far, here is my phone info:
Android 2.2
HBoot-0.35.0017
Build Number 2.16.405.1 CL223106 release-keys
I am very newbie to Android world, so I read many threads on this website and others and followed some people's instructions to download update.zip and/or passimg.zip. I did both , with a variety of versions, but nothing seemed to work. I would always get errors regarding the zip file's signatures are not recognized or bla bla.
Please folks help me get rid of my 2.2 version, it has problems with wifi and is no longer looks cool.
A clear step-by-step instructions would be highly appreciated ...
Yep.. 2.2 to 2.3.4
After searching a lot found the below procedure to update my phone(Had a similar issue)... Now my phone is downloading Gingerbread MR2(87.6 MB)
Please find the procedure below....(Which changes the Build Number to FRG33)
1. Download this file from goo.gl /XDBOM (please remove the space before "/"). It's the flashable, stand alone version of FRG33.
2. Rename the file you just downloaded to PASSIMG.zip. Double check to be sure it's not PASSIMG.zip.zip, or PASSIMG.zip.jar. Windows will do that sometimes, and this only works if the file is named PASSIMG.zip.
3. Place the PASSIMG.zip file on the root of your SD card. That means don't place it inside any folder, just mount your SD card and copy it over.
4. Power off your Nexus One, then hold volume down while pressing the power button.
5. Your phone will spend a minute or so looking for an update file (the PASSIMG.zip file). When it has the info it needs, it will ask if you would like to install it. Press the volume up key to choose to install the file.
6. Your Nexus One will take another few minutes installing the update, then it will reboot. Let it reboot the whole way, then when it starts dial the following number on your phone *#*#2432546#*#* and wait to see the check in succeeded notification(pls ensure a data connection).
Note: *#*#2432546#*#* (*#*#checkin#*#*) to force OTA upgrade.
7. Go to settings, then about phone, then system update. and you will find the update for the latest gingerbread.
Hope it was helpful.

[Q] Softwinerevb -0.0mb stucked after updating the Busybox

Helo,im new here.. iam exploring the whole day exploring the web in getting root my device, but then after i succesfully rooted my device. i got a lot of errors like "unfortunately , the 'certain app' stop working". And when everytime i install the ROM manager, my device suddenly reboot on it self. I decided to have a factory reset on my device to check if the error will fix. And the error was actually fixed. I installed busybox pro, on the device and tried to update the busybox, and now my device has a 0.00b internal storage. I cant install any applications anymore. While doing self investigation, i removed also my Superuser privileges, thinking it would fix the issue. I also unrooted my device again. now im stucked -.- since i read about some forums that i just need to restore the busybox to the right directory. Anyone can help me? Iam running a tablet with Softwinerevb device name- i know there is a less support about this device. Running on a stock ROM JB 4.1.1. Well cross-fingers if someone could help me here.

I can install an emulator on it, and a root explorer. Is there anyway that you can provide some commands so i can gain root access using root commands and transfer the busybox from system\xbin to system\bin??
any solution
did you find a solution to this? I have a similar problem, but on a generic tv box. I have tried flashing a multitude of roms, but have only got 1 to slightly work
Try to change default install location to SD
Use ADB and try to change default install location to SD card. By this u can install some apps. Hope this will work for you.:highfive:
Late response, but I thought I'd put the answer here since I encountered it myself on a generic AllWinder/Softwiner tablet and found the answer on TabletRepublic. (Sorry, I'm not allowed to post links yet.)
There's something about busybox that prevents it from mounting the /data partition, so you don't have any storage available and all your personal settings vanish.
The solution is to copy busybox from /system/xbin to /system/bin. If you have ADB access (I did it from Linux) or can copy a terminal emulator to the SD card and install it do this:
Code:
mount -o rw,remount /system
cp /system/xbin/busybox /system/bin
reboot
Or if you can download RootExplorer.apk to the SD card, you can install that and copy the file with it.

How to use MOTOROLA APPLICATIONS on MOTO G running Cyanogenmod

I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FATE OF YOUR PHONE . THE INFORMATION AND STEPS I PROVIDE ARE THE ONES I FOUND THAT WORKED FOR ME DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN THEY WOULD FOR YOU.!
***==>THIS REQUIRES ROOT<==*** (#commonsense you are on Cyanogen mod)
Okay so i had seen many people having problem with being able to install STOCK MOTOROLA APPLICATIONS ON MOTO G running Cyanogen-mod so here it is first you need the files so i extracted the from a stock firmware file .xml.zip it should work for all the moto g versions out there.
***IMPORTANT***
KEEP A BACKUP OF ALL THE FILES YOU FIDDLE WITH JUST IN CASE YOU DO SOMETHING IDIOTIC AND SOFT BRICK YOUR PHONE.!
now FIRSTLY you need to know that the compatibility/ability of a android phone to be able to install an application is entirely dependent on its properties and values in BUILD.PROP file found in "/System/"
so i am going to attach that as well (do not copy paste the file BUILD.PROP edit it for these two or you may land in trouble also tally the only things that you may require should be these two lines and some " ro.------ " values that i have changed!)
ro.product.model=XT----- #what ever is your model number replace it with the "-----"
ro.product.manufacturer=MOTOROLA
these two are the main lines you need to edit in some cases they may not exist so BE GOD create them .!
restart in the recovery i have TWRP so i used it to fix the permissions in the advanced tab
also after this wipe your cache .!
now once the build.prop is handled assuming you did that correctly we move on to the easy part.
**also you should delete the data and cache of the play store to reset it to the updated phone build properties.**
get a good explorer for the device with root access.
now copy all the files you wan to install in both these folders
copy them to
"
\System\priv-app
\System\app
"
and run them they might just fail to run but thats fine.!
now
delete the ODEX files accompanying them
restart phone in recovery clear the cache and then fix permissions.
while restart you should see a scree saying "updating applications (number of apps you copied to both of the folders)"
restart and then pray hopefully the apps would already be installed .have fun
P.S.
the slow motion feature WORKS TOO!!
Hey bro, can you make a video? this appears a little hard for noobs like me haha
Works

[Completed] [Q] Smartphone android 4.2.1. Guophone I9600 fully bricked. I you help me, please?

Hello,
I am contacting you to see if someone can help me.
I have a Chinese phone. It is a Guophone i9600, MT6589 CPU quad core 1.2 GHz with 1 GB RAM.
This week it began to continuously display messages “memory full” and it told me to uninstall applications. I looked in settings options and it really showed internal memory was fully occupied ... when it wasn't true. There aren’t no applications installed nor data (including whatsapp app).
I restored the phone to factory defaults and it worked well. Now there was a lot of internal free space. After this, I installed lnk2sd app and I started uninstall applications that came with me smartphone ... but the phone has been bricked.
When I turn it on, it hangs in the original logo GUOPHONE. I don’t have any backup.
My laptop doesn’t recognize it. I have downloaded MT65xx drivers and when I try to connect the smartphone, it tells me not receive reply from the peer (I guess it will be smartphone). Therefore, I can’t use all that solutions that need to connect mi smartphone to my laptop (flash tool, CWM, TWRP, ROM manager ...). I think the only solution is to load a ROM file in ZIP format from the factory recovery menu.
I searched ROMS and I only found one in needrom.com (for Guophone I9602 (I guess you can be the same as mine, i9600)). I've downloaded it from a web page link and a mirror link, and one is a single file with img extension and the other one is a .rar. I have unzipped it and it has a few files with extension tar and img. I've tried everything, zip them, unzip them, renamed file extension... and nothing have worked.
I have also tried to generate a zip with the two img file (I think they're called recovery and boot) as someone said in some websites and it didn’t work. They said I have to include a META_INF folder, but I have no idea where to get it.
I have even located the manufacturer's website, I sent them an e-mail to ask them smartphone`s ROM zip file and they didn’t reply me.
One more thing, I bought two identical phones, one for a friend and one for us. Is there any way to get from me friend’s smartphone a file from ROM ZIP file to use it in our smatphone from recovery menu?
From my friend's phone I have downloaded (in "backup user data" option from original recovery menu) a file with backup extension. But when I try to restore it in me phone, it shows me a checksum error.
Thanks in advance. Excuse my poor English, please.
Best regards.
Hi,
I can't find anything relevant on XDA for your device, so asking here is your best option,
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Also, I would not attempt to flash anything not designed for your exact make and model number. Or that could be the end of your device.
Good luck!
Thank a lot, Dart.

awesome trick must read

Hello xda I am newbie so please forgive me for any mistakes okay
We all know there is android version in about device
Today I'm going to teach you how to edit android version cool na with help of this you make your friend an small owl hahahah let's go
Lets start some of us aware of build.prop file in system those who not familiar with build.prop
Build.prop is system file located in /system/
It contain system build information some contents are device specific maybe android version specific but some are same for every android device
I think enough for theory
Let's start
Firstly here is simple warning I am not responsible for any bricked device please make a nandroid backup using recovery
Let's go what you need
Rooted android
Root Explorer
Go to root Explorer mount system as read write
Navigate to /system/building.prop
Edit it when open find a line "ro.build.version.release=here is your Android version" now type your Android version I suggest you to write 7.0.1 because android 7 is out now and you make your friend satisfied by asking him anything don't tell him that you are android ceo haahhahah just kidding restart your device and see changes if any thing go wrong restore device
