Help.. Phone is dead - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Everythings been running fine on it since yesterday. Earlier, I turned on face recognition lock just to see how well it worked. First try was fine. Been sitting in my holster for a while and just pulled it out to use it. The lock screen was totally blank. I could pull my notification bar down but if I clicked on anything, ie, settings, nothing would happen. Volume button worked but none of the capacitive ones did anything. Tried to reboot, nothing. Held the power button to force a restart, it restarted but still nothing. Held it again for another restart and after the message, it turned off but instead of rebooting, nothing happened. I Power button does nothing. Plugging it in, no light comes on. It's totally dead. Any ideas at all? I sure hope this device is not this temperamental. With my good ole inspire, I would just pull the battery. I have no idea what to do with this one with a non removable battery. Please help.

Problems Turning On

I've been trying to reboot the phone to try to get into CWM so I can make a backup. But whenever I turn off the phone and then try to turn it on again it won't turn on. It eventually turns back on but after I pull the battery out and back again a few times.
Anyone else having a problem like this? And I'm sure the battery has had a charge before I powered off. Also is there anyway I can do a reboot or CWM with an app or something?
You know you have to hold the power button for a few seconds to turn it on, right? Not doubting you, just figured I'd put that out there just in case the solution to your problem could be that simple.

Haha yes, I've held it for much longer than a few seconds to no avail. I just keep removing and putting back in the battery and it eventually turns on. Could it be that I just have a bad battery?

Sounds much more like a bad power button to me. Do you have issues turning the screen on and off when your G2x is powered on?

[Q] Flashlight glitch

I woke up this morning and went to unlock my phone and when I hit the unlock button the LED flashlight came on. Nothing on the screen. Everytime I hit the power button, the light comes on. When I let go, it goes off.... it's kinda strange. I can't get it to work though. I've taken the battery out and put it back in... and it happened again. I connected it to my laptop... same thing. Any suggestions?
Are you on stock ROM? Rooted or un-rooted? If rooted, can you boot to recovery?

It's probably an issue with the power button itself. Check in the edges of it for lint or other debris. Only other thing it may be is the battery. If you know someone else with an S3, try powering it on with their battery and see if your luck changes.

I'm lost :/
Last night I had the phone connected to my desktop powered off n the battery got full charged so idk what could it be I mean if the battery got charged all night can it still be the battery or its probably the power button I hear the regular click sound n I could feel it that it got pressed so idk which one to go after the battery or the power button n if it was the power button would it come on sometimes or maybe it could be the power button cause when I restart it the phone comes in perfectly fine god damn it I'm lost :/

Phone doesn't turn on unless it's plugged in and then it keeps rebooting every 2 seco

My phone has been acting weird the past couple days. It would randomly reboot but when it rebooted, I would have to hard reset it for it to completely boot up. For the past couple days it would happen a couple times a day. Today it was doing it almost every hour. I was just waiting to get home from work so I could back up the phone and wipe and then it just turned off. I couldn't get it turned back on. When I plugged it into the charger it turns on the Google logo and then reboots over and over again. When I unplug it, it shuts off. I can't even get it to boot into recovery or bootloader because it keeps rebooting every couple seconds.
Just a guess, but I think you're power button is shorting out. See what others think.

Yea I've seen it in another post. That doesn't explain why the phone keeps rebooting as soon as I plug it in. But I have noticed that for the past couple days, the power button was becoming really sensitive as in I would hit the power button to turn the screen off and then it would immediately turn the screen back on. But if its a hardware issue then there's nothing I can do but contact Google to send me a replacement.

I think as soon as you plug it in the battery gets enough charge that it boots but then the power button shorts out and it reboots

I tried tapping on the phone by the button and it turns on the phone for a little bit. Same thing if I wiggle the power button. I'm convinced that's the issue.

VZW Galaxy S6 won't turn on

Got a perculiar problem with the S6. The screen suddenly went black with just the blue LED blinking in the upper left hand corner of the sreen. I am assuming the phone went off completely as I cannot access it via the PC also. I have tried all possible button combinations for reset but no luck so far.
Anyone else experience this? Did you find a fix?

Well the phone is not off if the blue led light is blinking, I've never had it happen to me where the phone didn't come back though. I was using an app one day (YouTube I think) and the app crashed and bugged the phone out to where the screen went black but the led was blinking. I left the phone alone after several attempts of hitting home and power to get the screen to come back on and finally I think I plugged it into the charger and it kind of just fixed it self and has not happened again. This is the scary parts of not having a removable battery.

I've got the 128GB and yes I have experienced this as well, twice! I hold down both volume buttons the home button and the power button at the same time, this will put you in maintenance mode. It'll take a couple of seconds holding those buttons but just keep them pressed. Be careful because when it does come on it comes on fast and factory reset is the second selection in that mode. The first time I did it I wiped my phone, the second time it happened I lifted my fingers fast enough not to make a selection. Give that a try and see what happens.

Sounds like you have the same problem as stated in OP. You could try doing what was recommended earlier in the thread. By the way, this is an inappropriate location to put your problem. Read the forum rules
Never rooted.
I am having the same issue. I have tried everything. Factory reset. Reboot/wiped cache and even trying to install verizon's Fireware again as it come only up to the Samsung S6 logo then goes blank. This is now my 4th replacement with Verizon and getting sick of it. How do I fix this? Odin stops at Get Pit mapping then when I do that says it can not install NAND. Using Odin 3.10.6 and 3.10.7. Tried mutli cables and restarted computer as well. This is driving me insane these phones keep doing this.
same problem except nothing comes on. no led, no reset, no computer recognition...
Same issue. Boots into and displays recovery fine and download mode. I can also bring up the safe mode menu ... just can't boot into the OS. Blue light on. I get a response in ADB when powered on, just can't enter any commands due to not being able to authorize access via phone screen.
Update:
Well as strange as it sounds, as soon as I plopped it down on the wireless charger for my S7 the screen came to life. It was at 95% battery prior to. Whatever gremlins got into the gizmos within the wireless charging apparatus seems to have caused this strange occurrence.
