isnt there a more easy way just as with the iphone to make a link folder? thats a folder that actually links to another folder, so i can point out one on the sd card?
EDIT:
your gameloft patcher is for the optimus 2x and does not support the optimus 3d. we need another solution.

It's recommended that you use that tool. You could if you wanted to. Make sure you are using the new layout of XDA to access the "Thanks Button". If you are, you should see my signature pointing to it .

Hi,
I heared that most of the SD Cards are incompatible for installing android on the hd mini. I would recommend you a Kingstone micro sd card Class 4 or higher. Format is with sd formatter 3.1 full erease and it will work for you!

I believe you need to unzip the file once, you will have another zip now. drop that zip onto the root of an external SD card. Reboot the tablet and it should recognize that there is an update on the card. then you let it install

Having root should not impact the update. Having an altered build.prop file, or frozen or removed system apps will affect it. In those cases, restore your original build file, and/or unfreeze / replace your system apps.
For those that should know but don't, if your bootloader is unlocked, you will not get an ota update and you will have to do something like flash the zip in using recovery. That's exactly what I did - worked perfectly.

The Wikipad has been rooted and there is also a ClockworkMod Recovery available. I take no responsibility for your actions. This a choice you are making. If you brick your device that's on you. That being said, these procedures have been successful so far.
This only works on the Wikipad 7 inch running Android 4.1.1 and using Windows 7 64-bit (32-bit should work as well). I've not tried this with 4.2.2 or Windows 10, nor I have touched my Wikipad in years.
Download this: Everything you Need.zip and follow the read me(s).
A clean recovery backup! (Props to ordoeb) -- http://dfiles.ru/files/079843b8f
Thanks. Worked for me. Got root and clockworkmod. Still can't see my device in adb in Ubuntu. Trying to figure that out.

Mad props to ordoeb! Thank you and thank you again.
I'm downloading his stock image. I'll install it, make sure it's clean, then upload a copy with a link to share. As promised, I will also release instructions and files for root.
ordoeb, you've done the Wikipad community a great service. We now have full control over a device we love.
We now:
-Have a way to backup the device
-Restore the device (even in some "bricked" situations")
-Create Custom Roms
-And root the device
:good:

[SOLVED] I placed the original fastboot in the motochopper folder which probably didn't do anything. But since my android drivers are everywhere! I removed the adb_usb that was provided in the everything you need rar and used Google's USB drivers. Worked like a charm!

New Link.
This is not exactly a mirror but a new upload. Idk if I can even do that but its needed.
Root does work and there are instructions inside the zip.
The original download link works as well because I've seen that weird download link while trying to download via mobile network. After switching to WiFi it was there bright and clear.

Hello guys,
I just received my Wikipad 7, it's a very great console without big audio lag unlike my Nvidia Shield...
Controls are excellent !
I just rooted my Wikipad, but I seen it's only a Tegra 3 T30L (not a T30S as described on first Wikipad Details before its release...)
So it's blocked at 1.3Ghz for 1 core and 1.2Ghz for 4 cores (instead of 1.5Ghz-1.4ghz as promised).
This tablet is a Nexus 7 clone lol So maybe an overclocked kernel is possible ? We can also dump the boot etc. with the ClockworkMod Recovery.
Thanks for your help.
I also made a topic in Q/A forum.
Hello everyone! I have an issue with my Zenfone 2 (ZE551ML).
I flashed CyanogenMod 12.1 and everything was working fine. That is, until I decided I wanted to go back to stock ROM. That's when everything went wrong.
1) I went into recovery mode (using Power + Volume UP).
2) I wiped cache partition (probably my first mistake)
3) I restored to factory settings (possibly my second mistake)
4) After this I tried to flash the "recovery1.img" of the stock ROM I had.
5 ) That didn't work so I tried using ADB to flash different ".zip" files (all firmware downloaded from Asus website)
When that didn't work either, I abandoned and rebooted the phone. But it doesn't boot anymore.
It is stuck on the Asus screen and nothing happens.
Does anyone know if and how I can get out of this situation?
I must insist on the fact that I am only a novice. Until now I've only ever known iOS and have no knowledge whatsoever of how Android works.
I really hope someone can help me!
Hello,
Welcome to XDA.
If you can find your stock firmware you can use fastboot to restore the firmware via Asus flash tool.
I don't know the specifics of your device.

Try extracting the .zip, it could be a .RAW file that has been compressed for download, if it is then just unzipping the file should give you the .RAW you need.
