Motorola XYboard 10.1 Tablet and N64oid and other Emulators question - Android Apps and Games

My birthday is coming up and I am seeing if the Motorola XYboard 10.1 Android Tablet will play Emulator games ( Mainly N64oid) so does anyone know if emulators like that work on the XYboard? And If they Don't, should I still ask for the Motorola XYboard 10.1 , or the Motorola Xoom? Thanks!

I don't see why they wouldn't, I run n64oid on an HTC evo 3d that's stock, no overclocking or anything, so it should be completely within the functionality of the tablet as long as it is 1 GHz or higher as far as processor speeds are concerned

Works just fine for me. Have at it.

Yes it will. Use youtube and search "Xoom 2 n64oid" or something like that

I have tried that, I can't fond any YouTube videos with that, to the other guys, Thanks hope I get it for my birthday!

Lol I didn't get it for my birthday , but I got so much money that I bought myself a Xoom and N64oid works on it! Thanks guys

[Resolved] What's up w the ps3 phone?

I figured I would make a thread regarding the ps3 phone
Let's share some info you guys may find.
So far, I heard its going to be a gsm phone.
What's up w it?

It looks nifty, but looks like it'll be ****. Its a single core gaming phone, with Tegra 2, Ti OMAP 5, and more looming on the horizon, as well as the NGP, the Xperia Play(PSP phone, PS3 phone, playstation phone) it'll be easily over looked as a gaming platform. Especially compared to its cousin the NGP, with its ultra high rez screen, and behemoth quad core cpu, and dual analog sticks. Plus, making it gsm only alienates a large portion of people on cdma networks.

According to Engadget, it will be on Verizon.

question about nexus s with ICS

im trading my evo 4g into sprint for a nexus s and i want to run ICS on it but with the current state of ICS on the evo im a little weary. how is ICS running on the ns? can i run graphic intensive apps like FPse and other "higher" end games? are there any major issues i should know about? thanks in advance!
tried fifa 12 but the grass was all purple and **** but still playable on stock without oc. duno whether there is a fix for this.
fpse no problems
ICS on the EVO sucks big time. You'll be amazed at it on the Nexus S, especially since its made by Google.

Maybe can't be sure since ICS wasn't for the Nexus One. But I think there will be a port since develepors for the nexus s is top notch

[Q] original Xoom still worth it?

I'm looking for a tablet to play around with and I'd like 10 inch over 7 - wife has a Kindle Fire that I don't mind using but is a little too small.
I am potentially looking at a 32gb wifi Xoom for $200 through craigslist. The price is right, obviously.
Would anybody NOT recommend the Xoom for 200 bucks?
Take it, dont hesitate certainly worth 200 you wont regret it

Yes, what he said.
ooooh yes ! Mine is running the stock ICS ROM. I tried a few new ICS quadcore devices in some shops, the last one was an Acer A510, and compared to my Xoom none was as smooth as mine !!! The A510 was horribly laggy !!!
The prime was equal in fluidity compared to my Xoom but knowing the GPS / WIFI issues on it I prefer my Xoom ...
I know quadcores are better for gaming but I don't play. They are also better to display 1080p videos but these files are so big in size, and to display 1080p on a 1280 x 800 display is absolutly useless !
So I will wait for one or two more Android tablet generations before changing mine.
Don't let it go. Get it. Xoom is my favourite amongst all. Worth the price.

The Xoom is great tablet to consider.
I've got an ipad and plain vanilla xoom blows it away Imo... Now with honey comb things were closer but with ics, hands down I pick up my xoom over the ipad for almost every chore...
Now that I'm rooted and overclocked a tad its like this tablet is still at the top..
Fwiw you can get a brand new one on ebay for about 300 or so..
Sent from my Xoom using XDA
I got mine on ebay for $217. Most were still selling over $300. IF you can get one for only $200, get it before someone else beats you to it.
dont miss this - i also still prefer the xoom over any other tablet at this point - buy now
I traded my galaxy tab 10.1 for a Motorola Xoom LTE and I have never been happier. Id take that sucker if i were you for 200 dollars.
Best 1st Gen tablet. And probably still the best overall. All the hardware works as it should battery is fantastic.
Sent from my Xoom using Tapatalk 2
I have had difference tabs and by far is still the best.

There certainly are better tablets now but the xoom is well supported by developers. Makes it a great choice for those that hack a bit.

My question is-what better tablets? Transformer Prime looks great on paper but with so many screaming about this and that not working, screen bleed, etc...it's not a prize, lol. What else is there right now, that can touch the OG Xoom in overall goodness? The Transformer Infinity Tab looks interesting, and the upcoming Google tab may be good too. But they are not available yet.
How about the Xoom family edition is it worth getting did it get upgraded to ics

NO Get the REGULAR XOOM Do NOT and I repeat NOT Get The Family Edition think of it as a Kids Version of the Xoom which is way harder to mod.

My friend had the Atrix 4G, it sucked. Crashed at least once everyday.

Sent from my LG-P920 using Tapatalk
Well if I remember correctly, it has a 1gb of ram and CM9 support, but I'm not 100% sure. That sounds good to me
Sent from my LG-P925 using xda app-developers app
My step-son has been using the Atrix since its release and he absolutely loves it. There has never been an issue with it. I prefer the O3D personally.

Thrill all the way. Attic way to slow
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda premium
I actually own both..I loved my atrix 4g...I wanted another when I added this line but they weren't available anymore. That being said I like my thrill better mainly due yo larger screen and old eyes..both are fast thrill has 3d..atrix has an extra partition with partial desktop Linux installed that allows you to plug in HDMI to HDTV and have Linux on TV and phone is mouse pad and touch keyboard.. very cool..so I guess the answer depends on what you like to do with your phone.
Also atrix has unofficial cm9 I used to build mine from source and yes it also has 1 gb of ram..it isn't slow if you run custom roms
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda premium
Lol I mean cm9 and the Linux TV was what grabbed my attention but not only that the fact it will also get ICS screams to me that it will race right past the thrill once both are on ICS ill be trading my friend so ill still have access to the phone as I should really really like to see the final product after ICS is out and miui is available

Not to mention miui is available on atrix. My wife runs notachrix it is gingerbread but very stable so I don't have to worry about her having probs. Ics roms still have 2d driver issues and she plays those damn farm games..lol...you will Like it just pm me before you unlock the boot loader if it is not already done..it is a pain in the butt.
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda premium
Not to get off track here but what is so good about miui? I have never seen anything there that made me think anything but Iphone.
Well, I own both, so:
Atrix on stock gingerbread sucks. Also, it feels flimsier than the P920. My atrix is currently in the drawer, waiting for parts...Case scratches easily, too. On the nice part: ICS 4.0.4 rocks, but you get no fingerprint support...Phone fast as hell, especially when overclocked @1450MHz....
As for the P920:
Bulky, but sturdier than the atrix, screen looks better, despite lower resolution...Camera is better too (but IMO the flash on the atrix is better)...P920 also feels faster, be it stock or overclocked...Wireless communications also seem better.Negative side: Battery lasts shorter on my P920 than the atrix
Shortening it: if you want a developer's phone, get the atrix, if you want a nice-looking, feature-rich phone, then LG it is.

[Q] RAZR HD

Hi all !
Does anyone know why there still is no section for the RAZR HD ?
It's already been realized. At least here, in France.
Does it share common hardware with another phone ?
Thanks
Stas
I think xda is US based, do you probably won't see a dedicated forum for the Razr HD until it is released here.
It uses the Snapdragon S4 processor, so it is similar in that respect to many phones.

How's battery life? The old Razr has a 1780mah battery, while the new Razr HD you have has a 2530mah.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
i bought it here in Canada just today...
Fantastic battery life on LTE, i will know more tomorrow on a full day of use.
the build quality is incredible. I have had mainly Nexus devices with the odd HTC One X...nothing touches this in terms of build quality and overall solid feel.
ICS...its ICS. Having used JB on the GNexus the last several months its hard to take a step down to jittery old ICS. Like you wouldnt know it if you hadnt played with JB, but ICS lags!
The screen, out of the box, is great and doesnt require a lot of colour tweaks.
Aside from that, love it.
Hopefully this will get a root (its officially supported by Moto in its bootloader unlock program) and i can get CM10 or something on this ASAP
Any questions? I will try to answer them as best i can.
It might come thus Thursday 18th to Verizon
I'm keeping my fingers crossed
