I believe the gallery app scans for images and video files and assigns them gallery names by folder name. Try creating a folder at
/sdcard/. You also might have to have your device rescan for media if you're moving files around on the phone itself.

I have been using my infuse for about a month now, coming from using iphone since it came out long ago.
One of the most annoying things i have noticed is when I try to see a pic or a video using the default gallery app, it shows all the folders with images eg.music albums, is there an app or a way of just accessing the camera folder only?
Thanks .

Copy a blank text file with the file name ".nomedia" into each folder you don't want to appear in the gallery.
I've been using Quickpic from the market on my cappy instead of the gallery for a while now. Really like it and you can hide or exclude certain folders. it's a bit faster than the stock gallery (at least on the cappy anyway).
I think there may be a way to keep the gallery from looking in certain folders similar to how you can block sound files from music players (put a .nomedia file or something like that in the folder you don't want).

Edit: Solus beat me to it

Its blazing fast even on Infuse. Replaced my stock gallery app immediately!
How are you guys organizing your apps since there's no app drawer in MIUI? Is there an alternative to folders (that is more visually appearing) or are you just putting them on your homescreens in no particular fashion?
Create a folder then drop that onto your dock named aps. That's what I did.

I'm trying to push some wallpapers I like so that they show up under HTC Wallpapers cause the phone crops em right. I tried manual pushing them to /system/customize/resource and that is not working. Do any permissions have to be set or is there something else I'm doing that's not correct?
Thanks!
If you have photo shop you can make the images 1280 X1440 then save as png and put them in your pictures/screen shots folder. They should fit the crop tool.

What I did was use 7 zip to edit a new Rom zip... Then navigate to the HTC wallpapers, replace one with a walpaper of mine that was named exactly the same, save it, and then you have to do a full Rom reinstall.

Basically I'm looking for an app that allows me to select a lot of different images in my phone and have them rotate as the wallpaper for x amount of seconds. Anybody seen anything like this?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.birbeck.wallpaperslideshow Try that. you choose the photos you want and put them in a folder, then you choose the duration. more explained in the app discription. Hoped it helped
