Anything removed via Titanium? Any FC messages? Any apps moved to SD card? Remove the SD card for a while and see if still occurs.
Try a factory data reset in the end, if nothing is changed.

It might be some application that you removed and installed on your SD card which is causing all the problems. Remove the SD card and wait a while, see if that helps.
Otherwise, factory data reset or reflash the stock ROM.

I dropped it from my hand accidently and every problems are gone

to mine the same thing happens, it turns off without warning
and change the original rom
and perform hard reset
install cm7
assistance which may be the problem?S

SD card unmounting

Sometimes when I remove the battery cover and then put it back on, my SD card unmounts. This has happened with 1.28.401.1 and 1.35.401.1. I haven't seen this with InsertCoin, but I didn't remove the battery cover when it was turned on either. Did/does anyone else have this issue?

Happening again and without removing the battery cover. The card works normally in my other phone. I'm running InsertCoin. Anyone?

Probably hardware related.
Try cleaning the SD Card slot or blowing air to get any debris out.
Note: Did you wipe (super wipe) your phone and problem still there? Try an another card & see if its still there. Might also be some file in the card causing problems.

Now I have another problem. My phone shows "Damaged SD card" no matter what card I put inside. It's also there when there is no SD card inside. I'll try another ROM and then cleaning the card slot.

Try doing a full wipe from CWM and re flash the ROM again. Might be some corrupted files or something?

Will try. My phone doesn't recognize any SD card now, it just says Damaged SD card. I hope it's not hardware, I don't think I'll survive without my phone for more than one week

Have you tried turning it on and off again?
Also I agree with cleaning, and maybe try another card?

Got a card reader? Put into PC?
Ok, it suddenly works now? Wtf?

Same thing happened to my wife's card. Cleaning, power cycling, pulling battery, reseating the card, none of that fixed her card. It would work on and off, even going away for weeks at a time until she got the damaged card error.
So I tried something I read on other device's forums. The pc could still read the card, so I copied everything to the pc, did a slow format of the card to fat32, then copied everything back to the card. The error has yet to come back.
I'm getting this issue too.
I had an 8 GB Sandisk C4 in my Sensation yesterday. I ran Revolutionary and installed CM7. I then copied across *just* my DCIM folder to a brand new SanDisk 32 GB C4, and I'm still getting the unmounting issue I had before with the 8 GB on stock Sense.
I don't think it's hardware related because it works just fine when I pop the card out and back in again...

[Q] v21y/GB 2.3.4 update causes apps to not be able to install/update

I recieved the OTA update for the G2x to the latest v21y firmware and Gingerbread 2.3.4 OS. Everything seems to have gone fine, except that now in Google Play apps it gives me the following error when trying to install or update *any* app:
'Error downloading "xxx". There is insufficient space on the device.'
Of course, I have an additional 8 GB micro SD card that is almost totally empty, and the internal phone storage has 3.2 GB available. The phone memory lists 0.94 GB available as well.
I followed the usual advice of clear data / clear cache for both Google Play and Download Manager. I unmounted/mounted both phone and SD cards. I turned off the phone, pulled the battery for a bit, took out the external SD card, put the battery back in, and booted back up. I rebooted a bunch of times. I put the external SD card back in. I cleared off extra crud from phone storage via a file manager, and I cleared caches on all installed apps.
This has never happened before, and directly after the update it has happened 100% of the time I have tried.
Any ideas? Is this happening to anyone else who got the update? (I'm completely on stock, btw, still not out of warranty.)

Does that require rooting? I haven't installed CWM yet, as I was holding off on all the experimentation until my year was up.
If there's no other usual thing to try, if T-mo doesn't come back with a reasonable response I suppose that's the next step.

No it requires Nvflashing cwm. But that will ruin your "warranty" on a end of life phone

You can factory reset without root. That's what T-Mobile will tell you to do anyways. I've went through six g2x in the past two weeks...that's their answer to everything lol

So a factory reset fixed it. I didn't have to wipe the phone and external SD, and so I'm just reinstalling apps and setting up a few of them. This was a good time for some spring cleaning anyway, I suppose.
It was probably some stupid permissions thing, but without root I can't even fix that.

What is this update supposed to accomplish anyway? I'm rooted and trying ROMS pretty much every week (since no ICS rom works for me as a daily driver). Should I / can I do the update to 21y?
V21y 2.3.4 Rooted Touch Key lights
so everything else works fine when it comes to rooted app root request, but for some reason when a touch key light app request permisson it can do the job of adjusting the touchkey brightness, however the screen becomes very unresponsive, to the point where you cant slide left and right... I have run out of ideas as to why this is? has anyone else experienced this? I like to be able to turn that brightness down

If I'm wrong then shoot me down in flames, but...
I seem to remember that I had a similar problem to this not long after I first S-Offed (XTC Clip) and rooted my DS, the burnt a new ROM. The solution for me was to partition my SD Card correctly (using a Linux 'Live' image and gParted), with a main Fat32 section for my data and a 1/2GB partition (formatted as Linux Swap).
If you're still struggling then it might just be worth a try.
My memory card is nearly empty n ive checked it on my laptop to c if theres any errors but its fine lol i was guna flash the latest gingerbread radio to c if that does out if not il try your reconmendation but the download always stop at 37.45mbs into the download on any rom download

Phone overheats and freeze when charging

Help out if you can!
When I put the phone on charger it freezes and I cannot do anything with it: it wont unlock and the area around camera and the sd card gets really hot.
I had it checked by official service, and they changed the usb plug, but the problem persits. I had official 2.3.5 rom, now switched to Thaiz 03D rom, baseband is, as suggested v21d.
I am missing calls and alarms when the phone is charging.
ANY help really appreciated

if so, read the thread. there's a fix.

I've had this problem. I dont know exactly what fixed it but i made a backup folder of all the contents of my SD card on my computer, Erased it completely, then restored all the stuff i needed. I also Wiped Data, Wiped cache, and wiped davlik cache, then flashed a new ROM and it fixed it. the reason why i cleared my SD card was because my SD card was over using power i think and was killing my battery. Re-Seating the SD card also might help.
Hope this works out for you and i know its a pain in the ass but it worked.
EDIT: i forgot to mention this. when you're done with all this Charge your phone to Full battery and Wipe battery stats.

Thanks for your answers, I do not have an ICS theme installed.
@ Gunraykilla
Will try to erase all: I did reset cache, but I never deleted all the files from my internal memory, and the SD card, it may be the culprit.
Thanks. I will backup everything, there is not much to lose now ;-)

No luck, did everything as described, still getting SOD, mainly when the phone is fully charged... Damn
Try resetting phone to factory default (although you probably already do when installing the rom) if this did not work. You have a hardware issue it sounds like a short circuit (loose contact) as it is heating the phone most of the procesors will freeze

is everything going to be deleted on my phone if i update to ics

Will I loose everything on my phone if I update? Should I take out my SD card before I do the update?
I will be using keis when I get home tonight
No it will not remove. I updated through Kies and did not remove my data.. However I did backup my data anyway

i dont have sd card. Sorry dont know about it. Just take it out
I didn't lose any data or apps but it will trash you home screens. They revert to factory defaults I think. I did my update with my SD card in with no issues there.
Update was fairly painless except for my trashed home screens that I spent a lot of time getting the way I wanted them. Even though the update was easy, I haven't been very happy with ICS. Touchwiz has force closed a bunch. Still working on what widget(s) I'm using that may be causing that. Seems laggy also. Maybe things will get better. I really don't want to have to do a factory reset and start clean.
Backup your data. I lost all my info. After updating to ics I was stuck on the att logo had to factory reset to get my phone working again.
