Behold_this wandered into the HTC Amaze forums (where I'm from) and contributed some down animations, so I decided to return the favor and leave some boot animations that I created recently
Instructions (I'm guessing it should be similar to the Amaze)
Download the animation you like
Extract to reveal another zip file and an mp3 file
Rename the zip file to TMOUS_bootanimation.zip (if you download one with both landscape and portrait, rename only the one you want to use)
Rename the mp3 file to android_audio.mp3
Put both files in /system/customize/resources
Open default.xml (found in /system/customize/CID)
Scroll down until you see 'boot animation'
Change audio to "/system/customize/resources/android_audio.mp3"
Change audiostart to "part0"
Reboot and enjoy!
I might not be able to check up on this thread as often as I'd like (I'll most likely be on the Amaze forum), so if you guys run into problems, shoot me a PM or help each other out!

I have been on CM 10.1 for a long time.
Didn't seem to find any solutions for the following.
1.How do I add boot sound?
2.It seems that down animation is also not working. :crying:
Would you bother helping me out?

I don't use Cyanogenmod, but I would assume that the instructions are similar to the ones I wrote in the first post. If those lines don't exist, then just add them in (For example, if there is no audiostart line, just manually type it in. Same thing for down animation - type it in)

After further Google searching.
It seems that it is not possible to add bootsound to CM yet.

Ok...not very well informed on the APK and M10 conversion process, came across this M10 script, decompile, the files came out mirrored. Still need to learn a little more...LOL.
Anyway, I am trying to convert / extact the Doubleshot Sense 3 fusion_DS_v1.0.1.apk.zip file to get the Default Skin (blue highlights) to be an installable APK skin file for my Desire Z.
I have found the HTC Green to be not as attractive for me as the blue that TMOUS themes have, including the blue slected text, etc.
Any advice, insight, other stuff, heck do this and post the APK would be great.
See the file from Dropbox http://dl.dropbox.com/u/24558395/fusion_DS_v1.0.1.apk.zip
Thank in advance.

not much different than 3.1.6 but that version never got pushed to phones/tabs so it may contain bugs. update through link below.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1297389
edit: as mentioned below, this version isn't displaying properly on tablets. Try Philos' instructions on getting this market to work. see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18392304&postcount=11
3.2.0 looks a lot different than 3.1.6 did for me. The layout is even more scattered and ugly... I can't imagine this being intended. For instance, look at the useless big black box in the second screenshot. Maybe it's because of the ROM I'm running (ARHD 2.1.0), not sure if that's relevant. Here are the screenshots:
well that stinks. I haven't actually tried it on my transformer yet. only installed to phone. anyone else can confirm its not working on tabs? I'll remove link if so.

Looks - maybe. But I hate using it. I always end up using the market on my computer in a browser installing apps to my phone from there.
who can upload the previos market ! please
Here ya go.
Not surprisingly, this does look pretty decent when in portrait screen orientation.
Yeah Complete bust for me FC only on TF101 Revolver 3.6 Android 3.2.1.
For someone who's want install in his TF101 - ARHD 2.1.0 -, I've got it and no problem.
Instructions:
*You can try to install this .apk over top of your current market, but it may not work. If it won’t, then you will need to be rooted and follow the instructions below.
1. Download the file (Phonesky.apk) to your SD card.
2. In Root Explorer or ESFile Explorer, find the file you just downloaded and copy it.
3. Move into /system/app and hit the R/W button to mount – then paste the file.
4. Find Vending.apk and rename it to something like Vending.apk1.
5. Long press on Phonesky.apk and rename it to Vending.apk.
6. Afterwards, long press on it again and choose “Permissions.”
7. Change the permissions to this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
8. Press “OK”, reboot and enjoy the new market.
Give it a try and you should have the latest Android Market, the same instructions should also work on all Android tablets too. You may run into some permission issues and will have to change a few things using root explorer if that is the case so head on down to the source link for full details.
Nothing to change on the UI.

Here you go, I wanted one myself so I edited the images to remove the references to v3.1, and also added separate animations for both 16GB NAND and 32 GB NAND versions. Hope this is what you were looking for!
Simply choose your NAND size and rename the file 'bootanimation.zip' and it should work

You can also use bootanimation.zip in data/local
This is good for those that don't have root, they can push the bootanimation.zip using adb to data/local. Putting bootanimation.zip here leave the original bootanimation.zip in system/media untouch. Just delete the one in data/local to get back to original bootanimation.zip
I have the BIOS portion edited to show 4.0 and upto 2012 for the "copyrights" LOL.

Get your animations on your device forum. They should be .zip files. Just drag and drop, and when you see preview, connect device, and press push button.
PLEASE PEOPLE WITH PROBLEMS PUSHING / PULLING, TRY MANUALLY (adb pull /system/media/bootanimation.zip C:\\bootanimation.zip), ON MY SGS2 (I9100), CM7 DON'T LET YOU PULL, WHILE CM9 LETS, THIS IS NOT APP ISSUE, BUT ROM ISSUE .

News: Got bootanimation building working! (fixed the bug of java organizing images like 1,10,11,12,...,2,20,21,... that was annoying)
Ill upload a 1080p video when my friend give me his phone for using as testing device (I wont record with X10 mini po for use S2 as test device, 1080p vs 480p )
nice programme! thx..
would it be possible to add info in "desc.txt" to the screen (such as dimension, framerate, etc.), so that i know more about the animation without having to look at the file myself?
thanks... but I hope you develop the apk version... so we could change our default bootanimation via our phone...

What about an app same as this + server full of bootanimations, downloadable via OTA ? .
Making the app on android is really easier, no need to use adb, and we can backup and change bootanimation just mounting filesystems.

For the reference, the first version was like this :
Installation :
(I explain a common way to install it, YMMV.)
First, you need root and a ROM with a kernel supporting custom boot animations.
Then, copy the bootanimation.zip file attached below to /system/media/, and apply rw-r--r-- permissions.
Finally, reboot and enjoy! :cyclops:

It's that time again folks! A new CyanogenMod is just over the horizon and there needs to be a new unique boot animation for it.
Since the last time I made one of these, I realized that boot animations should be pretty, but they shouldn't be 30 seconds long and 15MB in size. So this time I made a boot animation that's small and pretty. It's only 2MB for the largest version! Also it doesn't have the version number or a mascot in it. Not that there's anything wrong with CID, I just couldn't find a way to work him in. And haters gonna hate...
Please enjoy!

He's going to fix all 3 issues mentioned- the 1,1,1 issue, the (mod) instead of Mod, and the compressed zips.

You might have to recompack the wanted zip with no compression depending on your choice, or wait for an updated version.

It could be possible but it's not as simple, search in SM thread for more details.
I replaced the new CM10 boot animation (very good work) and replaced it with the android vaudiville boot animation which I also used on 4.04. Just my current favourite. You only have to rename the CM10 boot animation zip (I just add .bak) and then put the vaudiville boot animation zip in it's place. You will find the bootanimation.zip in /system/media/ so you should end up with bootanimation.zip and bootanimation.zip.bak in this directory. Of course, to return to the new CM10 boot animation just delete bootanimation.zip and rename bootanimation.zip.bak to bootanimation.zip
