The phone is working normally and you can't install a rom or is it bricked?
If working, try to root again and use rom manager to apply the clockworkmod, them go to recovery mode and try again ..
If bricked, try to follow this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1186460

Don't press the power button for too long. It takes around 9.5 secs for CWM to start, and pressing the power button for 10 seconds shuts down the phone. Stop pressing the power button the instant you see the LG logo.

1. To go into CWM you need to press vol Down not up + 3D + Power. When you see the LG logo let go off the power but keep vol down + 3D for few more secs.
2. Did you try and rename the backup? I did and it used to give me mismatch. Better to leave it alone.
It just sounds like his backup is stuffed up you could possibly ask for a stock boot image on forums to put n externel sd and restore

Press and Hold Vol-down + 3D button
Press the power button until you see the LG logo, then release it
Continue to hold down the Vol-dwn & 3D buttons until you boot into recovery!
It's hold volume key down and power button.
So hold volume key down and then power on button, Let go off the power button when you see the lg logo and keep holding the volume down key untill screen goes blank and bingo cwr hehehe...
Even easier way. Go into ROM Manager and press reboot into recovery mode....

You'll have to do a emergency reset using the LG Mobile support tool (don't know how it's called in English, sorry)

Try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2144738
and this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2190261
I read in the comments that this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2144738 doesn't support Froyo! And the second guide requires to reboot in recovery, but my phone when i try the key combination for recovery the screen check out striped blue! I try the LG Mobile Support tool, but doesn't recognize the phone, it stopped at 4%. In download mode the pc recognize the phone...

Alright so I believe I bricked my 3D - I was messing around.. Long story short, when I boot up, it loops at the CM7 logo over and over. I have to take my battery out to power off. Now I can't seem to find a way to boot into recovery mode or anything. As soon as I put the battery in, the phone turns on without me touching anything. I don't know what to do... Help please!

Are you sure? I Held the Volume down button, then the 3D button, and then power. The LG Logo came up, then the phone turned off...
Okay thanks got it now - When I go to restore, it says MD5 mismatch..?
I never needed the 3D button to enter Recovery.
I just hold down Vol Down and Power, wait for the Screen to turn on (LG logo) and then release the Power Button but keep the Vol Down pressed.
That always works for me unless the AC adapter is connected. Then I can't boot into recovery that way.

In Recovery mode go to Advanced -> Show Log. There you can see what files are giving you the md5 mismatch.
Then:
a) If some of your backup files has a name with spaces, change them to "_" and try again,
b) If the md5 problem is only with file android_secure.vfat.tar, edit the file nandroid.md5 in your PC with a text editor (notepad) and delete that filename (android_secure.vfat.tar) AND its checksum from nandroid.md5. Save nandroid.md5 and replace it in your SDcard. Try to restore again in Recovery.
Good luck,

I have the same problem as Arigo with the CM7 loop, I have done everything listed here to do and I am still stuck in the loop when I turn my phone back on.
Any other ideas for me?
Hey guys I'm going to be very forward with this. I am new to android and I seem to have soft bricked my lg O3D. Last thing I did was put the clockwork mod on and now it is stuck on the lg logo, I can get to the recovery but it does nothing. I've been searching for hours on how to fix it but always find a problem. I have no idea what I'm doing any advice would be appreciated.
Try hard reset. But you will loose all you data!!! Before you do that, take your SD and SIM card out.
1. Turn the power off. If your LG Optimus 3D is frozen, pull the battery out and reinsert it
2. Hold the Home and Volume Down button
3. Press and hold the Power button until the device turns on
4. Follow the on-screen instructions to reset your device
Thank you for the reply, but I cant because the clockworkmod is on there that wasn't meant for my phone so I need to somehow put the default recovery on.
Hello. I flashed Cm7 rom, but forgot to wipe data and now I'm at bootloop. I can't enter recovery with vol down + home +power. Any suggestions?

Hi, i managed to brick my phone when i installed cyanogen 7 on it.
i using for it a ClockWork ROM Manager premium and it installed the cyanogen 7 just fine.
i even make a backup for my default rom with it and all works just fine, no error codes, no nothing.
then it reboots to new android, and that damn boot loop start, well i remember how to fix it from my optimus 2x.
i go to recovery mode but everytime i trying to move down or up the lines, screen just go blank and what i remember there is a text line what says something about backspace?!?.
well i just think that this was a minor bug on the recovery and i rebooted the phone.
well, after that i cannot go back to recovery mode, it not recognize any of the keys, not power+vol up, power+vol down.
So i get just that bootloop and i cannot do anything with the phone, Windows 7 recognize the device and install the drivers but i cannot connect to it with any tools what i know.
i cannot use lg programs on it, nontheless any of the rom tools because they not connect to it, i cannot change any of the usb settings from the phone because the OS not start...
if somebody can help me with this, im be very happy
*UPDATE*
I found out that you cannot press power button same time with vol buttons, you just need to let go the power button while you still pressing vol buttons and voila!, you get the recovery console and you can do there what you needed to do
the power button also starting the device but shutdown it too after while if you keep pressing it .
Did you use 3D key + volume down + power? If this doesn't work you can try to flash a kdz
