i was comparing the gps lock on timing between my current vs previous phone..
i did the same setting with both of them.. and some how my current phone lock on time was very terrible..
Sensation XE vs Desire Z = 2:32 vs 0:07
what can i do about this? someone help?
is this a rom issue or just my phone?

I've been reading several posts on how to gain S-OFF on the Desire-S.
Thus far it seems that at this time no solution works except for the XTC Clip.
To me the Desire Z appears to be basically a Desire S with a sliding keyboard.
The Z appears to have been cracked already.
So is there kernel and ROM wise any difference when it comes to S-OFF comparing the Z to the S?
yep, the problem is called: different hardware & different android version
& also the desire Z is a older phone & is less likely to get updated
& the desire Z has lower RAM (not that it matters much)
& a lower processor speed
Z will be updated to GB, too. If the hinge of Z is similar to TP2, it would be better.
Hope HTC come up with another QWERTY-fied Android.

I'm finding the stock MIUI radio isn't very good with my Desire HD. It tends to either have perfect reception or none!
For the record I'm on MIUI 1.6.10 and my baseband is 12.28b.60.140eP_26.03.02.26_M.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a better radio for the Desire HD? My best mate has jvo and recommended zsjpg but he has a Galaxy S and I don't trust that shifty bugger.

A week or so ago I replaced my inoperative N1 (2.3.4) with the Sensation and I must say "what a difference" from the UI to speed - a truly 'sensational' device!
However, there are few differences that I was wondering about:
1. Can't seem to config the Sensation re the Display settings to display in night-mode
2. Older version of Market in the Sensation
3. The Sensation's UI doesn't flip to landscape mode when the device is horizontal
By the way, if you haven't tried Elixir 2, I recommend you do.

I know this phone is getting older but its my phone and i really like it and soon i will not be able to by a new one, so why not upgrade?
No one tried to port sense 4+ to this phone so I´m asking is it possible ?
Why hasn´t anyone tried to port desire x rom to incredible ? i know cpu is diferent but the other specs are identical.
Here is one stock rom of desire x if anyone is interestend in this adventure.
