U need to hold volume up button when it restart then u can see openrecovery image..

so does it can flash 2.2?

Where did you find this???? Is there someone trying to make an xt720 rom custom ?????

we have a kernel writing team led by resar in the other thread.. but his 720 seems to be broken.. so we are waiting for his phone to return n him to return to the project..

I have made a nandroid back up. But you can't select all you get errors. I only made a partial nandroid. Only system, data, and something else I can't remember.

[Q] Cannot delete folder in data/data

I downloaded Quadrant on my HTC One to Benchmark it and then I uninstalled it however when I rebooted my phone I got a UID inconsistency error and I discovered it was this app so I had to manually delete the .apk to resolve it because for some reason it was still lingering anyway the folder for it is still in my Data/Data directory and no matter what I try I'm unable to delete it. I've used Root Explorer and Ftp'd in but no luck yet. Any suggestions are appreciated!!

Just make sure you have tap on "Mount as R/W" in Root Explorer

it is mounted a R/W

I just had exactly the same **** happen to me with quadrant. I resolved the uid issues by format cache partition and deleted the apk but that folder in data is not deleteable.
Can't install quadrant either as it says error 24. Well I have no idea what's wrong and also the free space for the folder in data matches the stats for the asec data folder. Weird !

I would put my trust in the original linux/unix command line utilities. I can recommend "Terminal IDE" as a package of a terminal emulator and a base system. Just start it, install the "system", then go to the command line. With

rm -r /path/to/whatever
you should either be able to delete it or get a more or less meaningful error message.

Well, I/o error is bad. It usually means that the memory is physically broken but I think it can also be caused when the filesystem is corrupted.

I renamed the folder instead of deleting it and everything worked perfectly... does this still mean the memory is corrupted?

so please, hear my whole story first, so that you can examine the solution quickly.
my phone is: samsung W gt-i8150, rom: Liquid Smooth 2.9. build 3
first story. i wanted to replace the phone.apk with the one cm 10.1 own. so i copy phone.apk from CM10.1 zip file (that i got from arco official site). i wanted to copy it to root/system/app with X-plore root manager. but i cannot copy it even with superuser previllage.
second story. with no desperate to try, i delete phone.apk from system/app. then error message shown "com.android. bla bla not working". i dont remember whole message. i press OK, but the message keep showing up. can not get rid of the message, i decided to turn off my phone by holding power key. and after reboot, phone dont show signal bar, and of course, i can not make a call eventhough phone app could be opened.
third story. i'd remembered from somewhere, that i can flash apk with zip. then i decided to experiment a bit. i dont read any tutorial how to make update.zip (that's my fatal mistake.. my bad). i make my 'own version' flashable zip. making the original LS zip as an example. i deleted everything, and leave some that i thought important as you can see below :

The 'phone.apk' there, is the one i copied from cm 10.1 zip folder.
finally i install the zip via cwm recovery hope it'll work. i have seen your first paragraph LS instalation, but then it said "failed". and NOW, my phone ended with bootloop. it just stuck at samsung logo.
PLEASE,, how to fix this?? i dont want to re-install all over from the start... :crying:

my phone at stock, but rooted doesnt have the uinput it seems to allow rooted apps to use the touch part. So can anyone link me the file needed so i can flash it in?
And will odin work fine to flash that in?

uinput does exist
Install the terminal emulator app and run the following commands to check if the uinput module exists
1. su
2. cd /
3. cd dev
4. ls
Check in the list if uinput exists. I did a check on my Galaxy S4 I9500 and this module exists. Now the only reason you are getting that message might be because the SELinux is in enforcing mode. There needs to be a way to make that SELinux status to permissive. That is what I feel should be done. Let me know if you have found this to work. I planned on installing the Omega Rom but want to check out how to change the status to permissive without installing the rom.

I finally got this working on my Galaxy S4 I9500. I flashed the Omega Rom v24 with CWM. Installed Tincore Keymapper v3.6.4. Installed Respawnables game. I tried to connect it with my 2.4GHz wireless ps2, ps3, pc gamepad but I got a message saying "Uinput doesn't seem to be available in the kernel. Please install a kernel with uinput module". So I did a search with the Android Terminal Emulator app and here are the commands I executed to check if the uinput module exists.
1. su
2. cd /
3. cd dev
4. ls
Now check if you have the uinput present in the list. If it does, it indicates that you are not able to access the module. So go forward and try one more command like this
chmod 666 dev/uinput
This command will give access to other apps wanting uinput. Remember that you will have to run this command again if you reboot you phone. Hope this helps.

Can't make calls after uninstalling LogsProvider

Hi everyone,
I have a rooted my Samsung galaxy s3 mini ve. Because it was permanently running in background, I backed up LogsProvider using ROM toolbox and then I removed it.
Now when I open the phone app, it says "contacts has stopped". So I can't dial a number, but when I open contacts I can select and phone someone.
I already tried wiping contacts data, no success. I tried reinstalling LogsProvider, it says : " LogsProvider wasn't installed ". In logcat I see " dexopt failed"
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Logs provider is a system app, it is not installed with the package manager. You need to copy it back to the system app folder with a root file manager.

So you rebooted and tried the dialer again? Did you double check that the Apk is still in system app folder, and has 644 permissions? Try 777 and reboot again.
Also did you remount the system partition before copying it over?

The dialer did not work and the app were nowhere to be seen in system app. This is the LogsProvider.apk properties:

How do I set 777 permissions?

777 is rwx for all three permissions. Also try group root.

I did it and reboot, but it looks like it messed things up. I'm not sure because I also installed or updated several apps, but now the xposed framework doesn't work anymore and on each startup, out asks me which launched I wanna use

Sounds like you gotta reflash to stock (or custom rom) and start from scratch re rooting and everything.

Thanks. How can I efficiently backup everything in a stroke? I have a very bad experience of adb backup or other backup solution. Perhaps copying data folder would be OK? And secondly where can I get a tutorial in order to reflash the ROM?
